The service was excellent and the menu felt endless--in the best way. So many options at really good prices. The naan and broccoli was incredibly fresh with lots of variety to choose from, which was a highlight for sure. Everything we tried was delicious. Would definitely come back.

Genuine Indian food. Ordered the saag(spinach) without cheese, and chicken tikka masala, along with roti, naan. Rice comes with. Not cheap but good quality. I would visit again

The food was amazing and truly authentic. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, which made the whole experience even better. The service was excellent our server, Megan, was very knowledgeable about the menu, gave great recommendations, and checked in on us regularly to make sure everything was perfect. Overall, a 10/10 experience!

So, it is the last day of January 2026. My wife and were running some errands and wanted something different for lunch. We have passed Persia many times. Always, we say "we have to try that place." On this day, there was some crazy construction in the area and we decided to reroute. We were very hungry and there it was. Persis Indian Bar & Grill. We pulled in to the parking lot. It was about 1:30 PM. They are open for lunch and dinner and they close for lunch at 2:30 PM. We had enough time! We walked in and were greeted and seated. There were a few other tables but it was mostly empty. We perused the menu and ordered our favorites which are mainstream Indian dishes. We ordered the Chicken Lollipop appetizer and two unsweetened iced teas. For the main dish, my wife ordered the Chicken Tiki Marsala and I ordered the Butter Chicken. We also ordered the Butter Naan. We ordered everything "mild". We both like spicy, but our experience is "Asian" spicy is not for feint of heart. Since this was our first time here, we went mild on everything . I am glad we did. The Chicken Lollipop dish came out and its Tangy and Sweet combo was perfect! Definitely recommend. I went through a couple of glasses of tea but so worth it! While we waited for our main dishes, I noticed the decor. It was nice. I also noted the number of customers coming in for "To Go" orders. That inspired confidence. The food came. The Butter Chicken was creamy and flavorful. The Chick Tiki Marsala was also some of the best. The rice was cooked just right. The Naan was also the perfect accent. The meal was amazing. We left with full bellies and a promise to come back (even for To Go). The service was spot on (although it was not crowded). I recommend this if you are in Corpus Christi. Cheers!

Good for Corpus. It's great when we are craving Indian food, and unfortunately there aren't many options in the area... My only complaint is the lack thereof meat in the biryani... every time we order this, which is most of the time since it's my husband's favorite, I kid you not there is only 4-5 small little chunks of meat. For the price that we pay, I don't want to have less than 10% of it meat then the majority is all rice. A bit unfair in my opinion. My favorite is the Chicken Korma, the flavors are good. We always get the Vegetable Samosas and these are a staple, they're perfect almost every single time we order them. We only tried the Vindaloo one time, but I remember it being good. If Mango Lassi is on the menu, then there is a chance we are ordering it.

The only good thing was the cheese naan bread. Service: for my wife and I, we ordered chicken biryani, chicken tikka masala, and naan bread. That's all. Took over 45 minutes to get the food. Ive had this exact dish at three different Indian restaurants in the past 2 weeks and by far this was the worst. When the food did come, food was lukewarm, and the chicken was tough as if it was old and reheated. The rice was exceptionally dry, and they buried the chicken way at the bottom of the rice bowl. When I asked about the wait after it had been 40 minutes, I was told they were working on it. No explanation or curiosity about what we thought of their food. The worst Indian dining experience I've ever had. The vibe of the place was decent. My wife and I thought the mural was gorgeous. Friends had warned us against coming to this place because "there is no good Indian food in Corpus" but we saw the high Yelp reviews and were in the mood for some Indian food. We should have listened to our friends. If you're coming to this place because you are craving Indian, make sure your expectations are really low and that you have at least 60-90 minutes for a party of 2, closer to 2 hours for 4+.

This is one of Corpus Christi's only Indian Resturaunt and let me tell you it is AMAZING!!! We of course were a little skeptical, but decided to give it a try. The business is easy to find since it's behind the Ross shopping center and parking is vast. Once you enter, the ambiance is nice and has a great India atmosphere, from the various colors to the resturaunt layout and art. We were quickly greeted and seated and helped with the menu. I ordered the Samosa for the appetizer, and for the main course Kadai Chicken with Garlic Naan, and my girlfriend ordered Lamb Tikka Masala with Plain Roti. Everything was phenomenal and the food had so much flavor and spice! We devoured everything! Once done, we asked if they offered Military Discount. The waitress went to ask and the manager came to the table and gave us a 10% discount and thanked us for our service! He was so kind and we stated how great the food was! He stated "Well then I guess I'll be seeing you more". YES! YES YOU WILL!!! So if you're looking for an amazing Indian food resturaunt in the lovely city of Corpus, look no further! This is it!!!

Corpus has a world class Indian restaurant. Persis brought their "A" game when they served us the best Chicken Tikka Masala we've ever had. The spice level was medium just like I asked for, the chickeen was moist and tender, lot of places the chicken comes out dry. My wife got a bowl of chicken lentil soup that was very tasty. We shared a couple amazing samosas. We also shared a rice kheer dessert....yum.....by shared I mean she took 2 spoonfuls. I ordered a plain naan, also very good. We're trying to low carb it and she's doing a better job of it. We'll be back for more of these goodies.

This place is top notch authentic, we destroyed our food and I have zero regrets. Will continue to eat here when in town.

I was apprehensive about trying Indian food in Corpus and I was pleasantly surprised! I've been here several times and it never disappoints. They are able to make about 6 entrees vegan and they're delicious! The Veg Chettinsdu is incredible. Service is good and ambiance is nice. Def recommend if you're in Corpus and craving vegan.

Piece of rubber from our dish
    Phillip K.

Food was great as always. However had a glove or piece of rubber in our food. They took it away and didn't take it off the bill. They told us it was a piece of fat. We cook lamb regularly and it was rubber. Things happen but whoever the manager or chef was that sent the waitress with that flimsy excuse should be ashamed.

Wow, everything we tried was delicious. It's now one of my favorite restaurants in CC. Next time we will order medium spice instead of mild spice for an extra kick. Highly recommend this place if you want to step out of your comfort zone and try something new and tasty!

Are there vegan options in your restaurant?

Yes, they appear to have some vegan options. This is what I can tell is vegan from looking at their menu: samosas, papad, pakoda (and everything from their veggie appetizer menu except the paneer), chaat, daal, bhature, tandoori broccoli, plain naan…

We thought we would visit for dinner at about 6 pm . Place was totally empty when we arrived; a very wait person say us and very nicely waited on us throughout. I had the two bratwurst with red cabbage and German potatoe salad . Now usually to me , bratwurst should be full juicy sausages of a considerable size . What I got was a little better than two hot dogs that were cut in two length wise. The potato salad was somewhat greasy and not too remarkable at all. The red cabbage was only passable. The whole thing seemed like it was warmed up from lunch , in that it came out surprisingly quickly and was tepid rather than hot. Microwaved maybe even. My partner had pork schnitzel, spaetzal and sauerkraut. The snitzel seemed ok though tepid . The serving size though was somewhat smaller than what their online pic showed but my wife said that she didn't need anything bigger . My wife said the spaetzal was good though I tasted it and thought it seemed warmed up. The oddest thing is that the sauerkraut was mixed up with mashed potatoes. The texture was weird and it was missing the tanginess of sauerkraut and , again, tasted warmed up. Is this a way to "stretch" sauerkraut of all things? The problem is they just started dinner service I guess in the last two weeks according to our server . On top of all this it was exorbitantly priced . Whereas I might visit during breakfast, I may not fit dinner for a while to where they can build a better experience. The waitress was very nice and accommodating.

From the moment I walked in I fell in love with this space. From the dim lighting, to the elegant ambiance, to the cozy booth, and woodpaneled bar - I was immediately obsessed. Everything I tried here was absolutely delicious both from the food menu and the drink menu. I did a tasting flight (highly recommend) and sampled a few house cocktails. Neither approach will do you wrong and I recommend doing both if you have the time. For food we went with the : -sliders -charcuterie board - gnocchi -truffle fries And you can't go wrong with any of these. The sliders and charcuterie were the top two table favorites (although we may have been fighting over the last few truffle fries as well) Add this place to your list if you're in the Corpus area!

A bit disappointed as there was no greeting from the bartender, however the couple that arrived after me was greeted with the question of this being their first time and they provided their name. I was warned it's a very peaty drink (not sure I said that right) as it has The Peat Monster in it. While the taste was strong, not overwhelming and you can taste the smokiness. Got the aranciette and they were hot on the outside and just barely warm inside. Taste was good though. Second drink was an old fashion made with Crown Peach and just as tasty as I remember.

I really wanted to keep loving Bien Mérité, but after three attempts, I'm extremely frustrated. Each visit has involved inaccurate and constantly changing wait times. My first attempt on 4/10 around 2pm in the afternoon. It was just me and my 15month old baby, there was only 2-3 tables occupied and I was told 45 minute wait with an almost empty dining room. I asked the hostess due to me being 9 months pregnant and having a toddler if I could just at least sit down while waiting the additional 45 mins and was told no. So I totted out my baby and myself, bought pastries and left. The second attempt I was quoted an hour , waiting the full hour and checked back in with the hostess stand only to be told it was going to be an additional hour, on top of what we already waited again. Third attempt (Sunday, April 26) waited a full hour, checked in once again with the hostess and was told it is now going to be another 90 minutes on top of once again the hour we already waited. I understand waits happen, but this level of inconsistency feels disorganized and disrespectful of customers' time--especially when expectations are set incorrectly from the start. I'm just asking for transparency and honesty here. It's disappointing because the space is beautiful and I've always supported this business but the waitlist management and homestead stand seriously needs improvement on honesty and management of times.
