The buyer had scheduled their property inspection for Wednesday morning, so I was pleased when the technician provided with a very competitive bid on the spot, and got the new furnace installed that afternoon. Fast forward to a couple weeks later when I ran into the same issue two days before another unit was scheduled to have its annual Section 8 inspection completed. Once again I got a same-day replacement at the same great price. Since then I had Airtime replace the furnaces in two more units (four total), and just had them change out a broken garbage disposal and water heater that was on its last legs--suffice to say their plumbing division was just as efficient and professional as their HVAC techs, and the pricing for those was extremely competitive as well. Over the years, I've had other handymen pass on the project. I had a handyman who was able to fill the rotted areas with wood filler, sand it, and restain it. I've even had a gate company tell me that they could not save the gate; it would need to be completely replaced. Bill was able to cut out the rotted pieces of wood, replace them, and restain the whole gate (he also repainted the decorative hardware on the door as well). Moreover, he discussed the project with a buddy of his and they determined that the gate was sitting over a muddy part of landscaping which is probably what facilitated the deterioration of the wood. We found some leftover pavers in our storage shed and Bill extended the pavers so the gate would sit over pavers instead of mud. Before he embarked on the wood gate repair, Bill also installed a valance/shade over a window. He made the necessary calculations to ensure that the valance/shade would be centered on the wall and window. He also made sure that the valence was leveled. Bill is honest, meticulous and detail-oriented. If you want someone to treat your project and your home, like it's his own, I would give Bill a call.

This is my second opportunity to use Personal Plumbing. I used them last year to hook up a new dishwasher, install a new garbage disposal and hook up the water line on a new refrigerator. The plumber was very professional and I was pleased with the service from the company. So, when I discovered a water leak in the pipe in my dining room yesterday, I called them immediately. Wendy was quite helpful and the plumber, Ron, arrived within a couple of hours. Ron was quite personable, provided me with valuable information on where to shut off the water line at the main valve, how to shut off my water heater when I am away from my home, offered suggestions regarding the piping in my house. the house is over 20 years old so the piping is starting to fail. Ron was very careful not to damage anything, was very good at fixing the pipe and did a great job is cleaning up afterwards. Personal Plumbing was also very helpful is recommending a restoration company that arrived just as Ron was leaving. I will use Personal Plumbing again as I felt very comfortable with them, their pricing seemed reasonable to me and felt I was given good advice instead of feeling like I was being taken advantage of. I would recommend talking to other plumbers before using Personal Plumbing. They did good work for us in 2023 when we had a leak. Called them to get a quote to install a Moen Automstic Shutoff Valve as required by our insurance. The quote was $3,401 to install the valve, replace the manual valve and replace the pressure regulator. They measured the water pressure at 80psi in my house. They suggested I replace the pressure regulator because it was bad. I measured the pressure at the same two spots and got 65psi. The plumber who actually installed the valve also measured our water pressure at 65 psi. So either the plumber from Personal read his gauge wrong twice(which I find hard to believe), he straight up lied to up sale me, or his gauge is wrong. We went with Hanna Plumbing, who installed the Moen Valve, Manual shutoff Valve and new pressure regulator(did it so everything is new, plumber was already out, etc.) Hanna plumber said it wasn't necessary(honest) but we did it anyways for $1,700. Do your research before you use Personal Plumbing. I personally will NEVER be using them again, and neither will the family members who recommended them to me. read more

This is the second time we have used Personal Plumbing and I would highly recommend them for any and all your plumbing needs because of their knowledge, price, and workmanship. The owner, Bob, gave me the best-price-ever to re pipe the entire house. I couldn't refuse the offer. He made a cost effective recommendation to install a hot water re-circulation pump to provide instant hot water throughout the house. The family loves it. Further, he showed up the morning of the job along with a team of 4 highly experienced plumbers to make sure everything was on track for a 2 day completion time. His job foreman, Michael, assigned his team different areas of responsibilities. Team members were very professional and took great care to reduce cutting-into-wallboard and keeping the house clean. The first day, water was restored to the master bedroom and kitchen. The next day, the house was entirely re piped ahead of schedule. The building inspector said the workmanship was the 'best he'd ever seen' and 'these guys really knew what they were doing'. Again, I would highly recommend Personal Plumbing. read more

My original HVAC dealer retired. I asked a neighbor for a referral. She recommended Personal Plumbing to me. I called them requesting a tune up for my furnace and air conditioner in early May. Early the following week their service man arrived and checked my HVAC system. He told me that the furnace and AC seemed in good condition but the air flow needed to be checked. In the attic he found a broken duct pipe and outmoded ducts and duct pipes some of which had asbestos insulation. He recommended a three day schedule to carry out asbestos mediation and then carry out a complete replacement of ducts and duct pipes. I scheduled the job as recommended and had it done. The job was done as recommended by PP and their subcontractor. I was a bystander because I was grounded by the DMV in summer of 2024. They were but still sociable. We exchanged jokes for three days. The final result. My HVAC system operates like new. It heats and cools better and more quietly than before. read more

Gary and I did our research for a whole house water filter system and narrowed it down to a specific system in mind. We chose Personal Plumbing after researching plumbers recommended by the filter manufacturer. Gary met with the owner Bob, and liked his detailed explanation of the install process. He was very professional, knowledgeable and experienced. He did not try to upsell us or steer us away from the system we wanted, and that was a big plus in our book. He turned around a quote within 24 hours, and it was very competitive. During the installation at the end of July, their technician John dropped a tarp around his work areas, used high quality materials, did meticulous work, and then cleaned up with a dust pan and broom when he was done. Shouting from the rooftops how exceptional their customer service was from start to finish. In every way, you can tell these people bring humanity to their work. I cannot say enough good things about David and Cesar who showed up right after I called about a water heater issue (no hot water). They quickly diagnosed the situation. It was way worse than I thought. We had a leak that had been "repaired" with "bandaid" fixes for years (my brother confirmed this to be true, he's a plumber who lives out of state). Robert reached out to me immediately and gave me a price range based on the information I provided -- I needed a water pressure regulator and a hose bib replaced. Tim was very patient explaining the issues with our old solar and gas hot water heaters and the "closed" water service in Oceanside that we were unfamiliar with. We purchased two new toilets and a powder room vanity and faucet from Lowe's to upgrade our home in Fallbrook, CA. We hired Personal Plumbing to pick up and install the items. Their plumber, Timothy, arrived on time and after laying out protective tarps immediately began installations. Bob and his Team at Personal Plumbing did an absolutely outstanding design and installation, replumbing our water heater to the laundry room, installing an amazing tankless Navient unit. We also coupled this with the Halo 5 whole home filtration system and Flo (Moen) water security (automatic shutoff valve) system. Cathy was extremely organized with executing the project. I can't believe they accomplished this in a day and a half, and had all of the equipment already in inventory so we could get the best (and permeant) solution installed so quickly, especially given what is going on with the supply chain. Ryan did the troubleshooting and thankfully told us the water heater burner was under warranty. He gave us the info on how to get a free replacement sent overnight. We made the phone call and after the part arrived, Timothy did the repairs quickly and very professional. I had some miscommunication with the billing and Tim notified the owner Bob who called me back right away to fix the issue. Bob was cool and the techs - Ryan and Timothy - were personable and quick. 5 star for the technician Johnny. Not sure about the price, was quoted and paid $536.00 for troubleshooting outlets(2) not working. I googled how much for troubleshooting and it showed between &130 - $270 with most customer spent $190. The outlets got fixed which consists of opening one outlet and adjusting the wire and tightening screws on breaker box. He also checked the voltage on 5 outlets. So not sure if the $536 is reasonable for an hour job. Also, was told that they give military discount but none received. I forgot the explanation from Johnny. Just giving my honest opinion. I offered to pay in the moment and was told not to worry about it since nothing was wrong and the plumber directly told me it was under warranty. I recieved an invoice for 150 and when I called I was told to not worry about it. And they would look into why I was sent that. I didn't hear anything after. NOW A YEAR LATER. THEY WANT 150 more than the 500 dollars I paid for the wack job that was done in my bathroom. They are scammers and will be looking to report them.

Then, I found an old "coupon" from Anderson for $500 for my old water heater, so I called to learn more. I agreed to have someone come out to tell me what heater options I had to replace this one. Twice I was told that the charge to have someone come out would be waved, even though on their website it is stated that estimates are free. Two men came to look at my heater and talk about replacement options, etc. The initial price they quoted ($5358.00) seemed ridiculous for a gas heater and some parts, installation. I already had an idea about prices. Their quote then subtracted the cost of a water pressure regulator ($1368.00) but then added a "WPV" ($1528.00), which is a water pressure valve, which I believe is the same thing. My quote also, inexplicably, included two heater removal credits @ $500 each, tho' I only have one heater. New total = $4515.00. Still a ridiculous amount. In the quote, both a 40 gallon and a 50 gallon tank are mentioned, one in one place, the other somewhere else. In California, all gas water heaters are required to be ultra low nox, but in this quote, again, in one place ultra low nox was mentioned, but in another part of the quote, just a low nox was mentioned. Also, two anode rods were promised, but not mentioned in the quote. I wanted some clarifications about these inconsistencies, and emailed with a Mr. Coleman. Mr. Coleman offered me an even lower price ($3200.00) if I ordered installation that week, as "business was slow." He promised to find out about the 40/50, low nox/ultra low nox, 1 or 2 anode rod inconsistencies, and get back to me. Twice he sent me emails letting me know that the technician who wrote the quote could not be reached. Then...nothing... Anderson's tag line is that "Nobody wows clients like we do." For me, that "wow" is "Wow, what incompetence, and capricious pricing." No thanks.

It involved soldering several elbow pieces to ensure everything fit perfectly both inside and outside the wall. The final setup looks amazing--it's clearly the work of pros.
