So we wanted some breakfast and decided to try out Persy's place since it has been years since stopping in. The entrance was a bit dirty but the restaurant didn't seem too bad so we decided to give it a try. We were seated in the back corner next to a table of loud kids and adults which was very annoying since there was plenty of other open spaces. My wife ordered the English breakfast and I had the eggs, sausage, bacon and pancakes. We waited forever for our food to arrive and the waitress forgot to bring out half of our food, I still never got my toast I ordered. The mushrooms that came with my wife's meal tasted like vinegar and when we asked we were told that that's how they are, they were not edible at all. The home fries were burnt as well and the over medium eggs had cold runny yokes. Both of our meals were also cold and the pancakes were chewy. Our waitress also did not check on us for coffee refills either. The worst part is that they have a letter in the front of each menu stating that they have to add an additional 7% to the bill for extra costs, I wouldn't mind if it was worth it but $50 bucks with tip for substandard breakfast food is ridiculous! Actually very surprised to see this quaint little place only had three stars! I flew in to MA super early and we headed down the cape right away and stopped here for breakfast. It's your stereotypical diner, service was great, food was fast, ample, and cheap. We got the hobo hash browns and the eggs Benedict. The hobo hash browns was SO much good! 3 eggs, toast, sausage, peppers, onions, jalapeños and a side! It was all delicious except for the pickled jalapeños - personal preference but I would have asked for it without if I'd known they were pickled and not fresh! My friend and I went there on October 18 for breakfast.My friend ordered orange juice and the waitress brought apple and when called on it her reply was oh yeah I know!The food came it was warm not hot..bland in flavor sides are charged separately..when she brought the bill she gave us the wrong one!No apology for her mistakes.Needless to say we will not recommend this place to anyone. read more

We went to Persy's place, and the experience was far from pleasant. One member of group wanted an egg white omelet, we were told they couldn't do that. We asked if the chef knew how to separate an egg. We were told that he didn't have time. I have never heard of a chef that couldn't separate an egg. It doesn't take more than a few seconds. It was not very busy in the restaurant. We go by this restaurant frequently and there are always very few cars where at other breakfast restaurants there is a waiting line. read more

Ok so I wrote the review before my food arrived thinking it was going to be the same as Mashpee WRONG! The eggs were far from fuffy they were saturated in oil and over cooked same as the corn bread, I re ordered the eggs and not much better AND they arrived on a dity plate. My Son, his fiance, and I went there today at 1:00 today. We were greeted by an angry waitress who said..."We're not taking anymore customers!" I said, but you're open til' 2:00, it's only 1:05. She yelled..."Hold on!" She ran off into the Kitchen and the A-hole and F-Bombs were being tossed about, referring to us of course. When she came back out she huffed "you'll have to wait 15 minutes until I catch up." We decided to leave. We were regulars there until this happened today. We didn't feel safe with respect to the food they might serve us, so we went to ihop and were treated like Kings and Queens. I'll never go there again!!! read more

I took my niece here for "pancakes for lunch" and we arrived on a Sunday at about Noon. The restaurant wasn't very full but it was way after breakfast. And there were people eating as we entered. We both ordered Buttermilk pancakes, bacon and sausage sides, and I was very disappointed in the pancakes. They were anything but airy, fluffy and thick in height. They were gummy, flat and tasteless. My niece is 7 so she would eat anything with syrup on it. But I was very put off by the quality of the pancakes. Too bad. read more

Very poor customer service. Acting management very disrespectful towards customers and unaccommodating. Not fit for management in the food service industry. Prioritizing future business/tips over the customers currently sitting down in front of them. Servers would rather have a table of four or six. Single patrons or couples are pushed to the side as if they don't matter. All i wanted to do was have breakfast with my 86 yr old father. Who knows how many times I will be able to do that again? Horrible experience here today. The place was empty when we got there (2 hours after opening). We should've turned around then. The place was dirty, tables were sticky despite no one being in the restaurant. The hostess/server was talking on her personal cell phone when we walked in and continued to do so while seating us and grabbing a high chair. The food was all cold, scrambled eggs were overcooked, brown, with cold cheese placed on top. The hash was ice cold and tasted rancid. My daughter's pancake was cold and chewy/rubbery with black marks on it? I couldn't believe the food left the kitchen that way... I didn't even know what to say to the server I was cringing for her. We left hungry and still paid a pretty large bill. The server came back to the table with barely an apology and a cornbread coupon and had the kitchen remake the food even though I said we would not be taking it with us. Came in on Sunday 6/2 for breakfast with my mother . Let me just start off by saying if I could give a zero star rating I would . We came in and got seated very quickly but sat there for about fifteen minutes before anyone came over . I could see the girls that worked there chatting and gossiping but we weren't getting service ? When our server finally came over she apologized saying the hostess never let her know she had a another table . I watched the hostess tell her after seating us she got another table . The dishonesty was a turn off right away. She could clearly tell we were put off by her comment and she was very short with us the rest of our time there . We got our food within twenty minutes of ordering , but the entire time we were waiting for it we could hear commotion coming from the back of the house . Loud music and yelling . When we started eating it was relief because we were starving . I ordered a fruit cup that had a black/reddish hair in it and my mothers english muffin that's supposed to be grilled was so soggy . At this point we ate what we could and wanted to leave . The atmosphere of the entire restaurant just wasn't what we were looking for . We got the bill and even though the server could clearly tell we didn't eat some of our meals , she never asked how everything was , she didn't take anything off the bill, I could barely understand her handwriting , and she didn't let us know how we were supposed to pay . Leave it on the table ? Go up front ? I waited another fifteen minutes with my card on the table whall I can still hear conversations and music going on in the back . She ran our card said thank you and walked away again. I wasn't even given a chance to voice any of my concerns . Upon walking out I overheard one of the severs say she was the manager . She had black/reddish hair . I was immediately disgusted that acting management could be so careless about something I was charged an up charge for . We left and we don't plan to return . I will not waste much more time explaining to you why NOT to go here than I had unfortunately spent AT this actual restaurant. After a 30 minute wait (why the hell??) we were seated in a sticky booth, given carton-grade orange juice in smudgy plastic glasses and were allowed to peruse the grimy menus before ordering and subsequently receiving and eating (unfortunately) the worst breakfast we've ever eaten. It was unanimous, the food was horrendous. The waitress, although trying to be friendly, was just not spectacular. And the decor - I wanted to throw up all over the dining room, and not just because of the food. Think country-kitsch in the worst way and touristy knick-knacks (Wareham IS the gateway to the Cape, after all, and you know damn well they're going to capitalize on that). The review is on a sliding scale because of covid and because the weight staff is great. And trust me I am being kind. The food was cold, uncooked and just terrible. The coffee is awful. In the past, I have visited a number of Persy's locations many times - Plymouth, Hyannis, Yarmouth, and this location in Wareham. On this most recent visit in Wareham, I placed a take-out order, specifying a time for pickup. Two things to beware of: #1 When I called the restaurant 27 minutes ahead of my pickup time to change that pickup time due to traffic delays, my order had already been made. This was a breakfast order, which doesn't take long to prepare, and never takes more than 10-15 minutes when you're dining in. If you are thinking of doing takeout, be aware that your food may be sitting around for a long time if you don't pick it up right away, even if you specify a future pickup time. #2 I was charged twice for my order. It was resolved, but it took about a week to have it straightened out on my credit card. I recommend checking your account if you're charging your food there. Also of note, the restaurant was not busy at the time of my order (Friday morning). When I got to the restaurant, there were maybe 4 cars in the parking lot. I assume at least one or two belonged to employees. In addition to this, the manager was very rude, even hanging up on me twice while I was trying to talk with her on the phone about my order. The only problems I have had with Persy's in the past were related to out-of-stock items. Because of the problems I had this time, I would recommend ordering in advance for takeout, and I will avoid this restaurant in the future. read more

Our go-to place for breakfast when we come from Fall River to Cape Cod. A previous Review I rated this place 4-Stars, this time 5-Stars. Why? Improvements were noted in already great service and food. Alexis, our wait staff person, was terrific, and she brought out our order so fast I joked, "The kitchen must have known we were coming here. Amazing fast service." Another note was the number of customers... saw more than ever her, had to wait to get in. That is a good sign, in my opinion. Also, a pleasant written welcome from the Founders of the Persy's chain, the Heston Family. I actually felt like I was in a new restaurant... a great feeling. I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Three times I've visited Persy's for breakfast and three times I've been very happy with the food, and more than happy with the prompt, friendly service, most recently by Marco. The food comes quickly and hot, the homefries are awesome, the coffee is good. And the best reason to LOVE THIS PLACE is that they open at 5 am on the first Sunday of every August to feed the 60+ riders of my Pan Mass Challenge team (Team Forza G) as we ride to raise money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute to fight Cancer. First I'll say "sorry" for this review because I hate to give a bad review but honestly it was pretty bad. We all had breakfast .... First of all the presentation was horrible. I wouldn't present it that way at home. Our homefries were mushy and had looked terrible. The scrambled eggs were flat (I wish we took images), the bacon was fatty and undercooked, the poached eggs were hard..... With that said.....our waitress was friendly and attentive. I know it's hard to get help these days, but I'd try harder to get a cook that cares. Falmouth's Percy's is soooooo much better. read more
