Wow, the green sauce has a kick! The other is very mayo-ish

Food was excellent! We had a party of 6 for Friday lunch and were seated right away. We ordered too much. The Lomo Saltado was a large and delish! The Chaufa (?) fried rice was so good. The passion fruit drink hit the spot. Service was excellent - the lady was so sweet and attentive. When in town, I'd come back.

We saw this place on bulletheads (las Vegas food reviewer) and had to be in the area so we gave it a try last night! [[HIGHLIGHT]]As soon as you hit the door you smell the delicious smell of smoked meat![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were greeted by a very nice server and once we told him it was our first time he brought us samples of their signature drinks and went through the menu to explain his favorites making it so easy for us to decide! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself was clean and a very nice small family vibe![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Let me tell you the food did not disappoint! It was amazing! I will attach the food we tried! My chicken was delicious and seasoned well! My husband finished his plate which I was surprised because the portions were huge! We will definitely be back!

The service counter. I enjoyed both of those juices mixed together, delicious!

My son and I were in the neighborhood. We've never had Peruvian food and were delighted to try something new. We got there at opening, and were immediately greeted by our waiter. He was so helpful and knowledgeable, and proud of the food they serve. We were very impressed with his service, knowledge and willingness to explain the menu. Our server recommended his favorite, and my son and I both went with that. The amount of food on our plates was so much!! And the leftovers are just as good as eating in the restaurant. I was happy with what we ordered. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining area was very clean and organized.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was a little empty as it was opening time. While we were there other people came in to pick up food and were greeted just as warmly and excited as we were. [[HIGHLIGHT]]All in all, food: fantastic. Ambiance: welcoming, clean. Service: spectacular.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thank you for the wonderful experience. If you dine here, you're in for a real treat.

My parents just returned from Peru and were craving Peruvian cuisine. As soon as we stepped into Mi Carboncito, they felt like they were transported back to Lima. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the newspapers to the videos playing on the TVs, the ambiance felt as authentic as it gets.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was exceptional! We ordered the Ceviche Mixto, Pollo Entero (whole chicken), Loma Saltado, Inca kola, and Chicha Morada (purple corn drink). The chicken, of course, was the star of the show but everything was delicious!! Even though I personally haven't visited Peru, I could tell that this was the real deal. I wished I could've tried the desserts, but I was stuffed from all the delicious food and drinks we had already ordered. I do hope to return and try the desserts and more of the menu!

Lets star off with the fact that the food was amazing and the service was also friendly. As for the dining room experience, [[HIGHLIGHT]]they need better ventilation in this place because you will leave there smelling like a deep fryer[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. But let me emphasize again....the food was incredible.

    Lomo saltado

This is a small family business with the best lomo saltado! It was cooked just right and I can't wait to go back and try other dishes. If you like lomo saltado then this is your spot!

Really impressed with the food here. Delicious and generous portions, definitely worth the price. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was quick, and the cozy mom-and-pop feel gives it extra charm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Perfect spot for lunch.

Excellent night! The food was exceptional. Our server was helpful- we'd never had Peruvian food & he took the time to explain the menu. The portions were huge! Everything was delicious. We highly recommend!

The food was good. We ordered a pollo salado and tallarín saltado we really enjoy the food. It was a little bit on the greasy side, but the portions were very generous and great flavor maybe a little bit on the watery side but ok overall. We both had to drink Inca cola I had it in a can and my husband in a glass bottle, might be a place we try only once.

#40 Tallarin Saltado de Carne o Pollo
    Anna S.

The food was delicious! Service was nice. We went for an early Saturday lunch. Lots of parking and easy access. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The table could've been cleaned better, there was some green sauce residue.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ordered: 1. Lomo Saltado ($22) - Sirloin Strip sauteed with Onions, Tomatoes. Served French fries and rice. I would've preferred more rice over fries - which weren't even crispy. More like fry shaped boiled potatoes. But the flavor of the main dish was good, "fries" aside. 2. Tallarin Saltado de Carne o Pollo ($23) - Spaghetti with Sauce. Beef, Onions and Tomatoes. Interesting menu item but was good. 3. Purple corn drink - very sweet 4. Yucca fries - these are pretty good, inside could've been a little bit softer. Outside was the right amount of crisp and the sauces on the side were good too. The two main dishes seemed to have Asian stir fry undertones like soy sauce and ginger flavor (respectively) which I personally liked - reminded me of home cooking. I would come back. It's a small hole in the wall type of place. You get a lot of food. I would say enough for 2-3 people depending on appetite.

No eye contact, no conversation, just full commitment to the plate. The food is excellent. High quality, bold, and generous. The portions come out like full platters, not skimpy little plates. It's not cheap, not expensive, just right, and you actually feel like you got your money's worth. Both my friend and I ordered the lomo saltado, and for me, that's the standout. On top of that, the quality of the fried rice has declined significantly, and the portions have gotten noticeably smaller. It's disappointing because this place used to be really good. We used to recommend it to all our family and friends when they first opened, but unfortunately, things have changed a lot. At this point, I think it's time for us to start going somewhere else.

They offer a limited menu of a few ceviches, 4 Peruvian Sandwiches, and a variety of empanadas. You order and pay at the counter and someone runs out your order when it is ready. The food is made fresh to order and takes at least 20 minutes. We started with fish ceviche. We received a very large bowl of marinated fish with Peruvian Embellishments (Peruvian Corn, onion salsa, corn nuts, sweet potato, plantain chips) and it was reasonably good. The sandwiches here are like no others. They are very generously packed with filling and were on a very good quality rolls. The Pork sandwich was PACKED with lots of flavorful pork and some sweet potato. The sweet potato gave the sandwich something very special. It was moist, creamy, and sweet and really complimented the pork. I tried the chicken sandwich. I was surprised that it was chicken salad. It was very creamy and packed with LOTS of chicken salad. It seemed freshly made and was shredded very nicely. It was so big that I had to eat the one half like two open sandwiches and took the other half home. I also added a little bit of the salsas to it to kick it up a little for fun. If you are a foodie you are going to want to try a Peruvian Sandwich here.

If you speak Spanish, you will probably have a better experience than I did. They seemed to be extremely helpful to those who did. If you didn't, not so much. That's okay. I can deal with that. Food: Their chicken is really moist and flavorful. If I was only rating their food, they would do quite well. The plantains were also excellent. If all I cared about was food, you'd be looking at 5 stars easily. The fact that they carry Inca Cola is a plus as well. Some of the best soda available. My wife and I split a 1/2 chicken plate with frijoles. The beans are nicely prepared and flavorful. The rice is plain but goes well with the beans and chicken. The score killer: When you order a combination takeout plate that includes rice and beans, it's generally safe to assume the customer isn't planning on eating it with their FINGERS. We get back to hotel to find these Einsteins didn't bother to include utensils. Too busy chatting with their other customers to take care of our order correctly apparently. I normally take some plastic utensils in my luggage but we brought a larger suitcase this trip so we could combine our belongings into one. Needless to say, we had an interesting time finishing our lunch. Incompetence like this is extremely difficult to overlook. Would I return? Maybe. The food is quite good but this really pissed me off. Even if I return and complain, I doubt they'd actually give a hoot. I would just make sure to check my bag next time if I decide to return or just make sure to pack utensils to avoid another occurrence like this one. What a pain!

We also tried the plate that came with ribs/pork/a tamale. The tamale was kind of dry and lacking in flavor, the pork rib was good but the other pork pieces were super tough (but it did have a lot of flavor). I would definitely go back just to order family-style of that chicken, salad, and fried yucca!
