I came here, because one of my colleagues recommended this place. I wanted to eat at a restaurant that was away from the strip. The restaurant is small and cute. Reservations are highly recommended. I ordered the chef's tasting menu. My favorite dish was the jamón ibèrico. It was simple yet tasty, and reminded me when I was in Spain. My least favorite course was oddly dessert. Beautiful restaurant. The backdrops look like I stepped in Spain. They offer lots of wine and beverages. They have a full menu, but we went to try their Prix fixed tasting menu. Everyone at the table has to have the tasting menu, there are two upgrade options. 8 courses for $80. At first I thought I was going to leave hungry, but by course six, I was getting full. The first course of some delightful fluffy bread with an amazing butter. My two favorite courses were the scallops and the taco made with fried nori! Had high expectations for the place due to all of the spectacular reviews. I love tapas and previously loved to go to Firefly whenever we are in town. Decided to switch it up a bit and come here instead. The space is fairly small, in the middle of a strip mall. The decor is beautiful and it's cozy. We opted to do a la carte as we had a pretty big lunch. First of all, the drinks were very good and strong, love the different variety of G&Ts. The bread was just ok, and the seafood rice was really really salty. I was very disappointed with that dish. The only highlight was the bikini, I know a lot of people talk about how thin it is, but I thought it was perfect. Service was great. Time to get the final visit in before everyone else tries to do the same. A consistently solid tapas eatery with elevated, often fusion takes on Spanish favorites. Raw Peruvian scallops with umeboshi, shishito pepper and candied Jalapeno anyone? It's a great flavor combo. Do start with an Iberico board and do pair it with a few orders of pan con tomate (fresh crushed tomatoes on Catalan olive oil bread). The pairing is always magical. For cold and raw, the Peruvian scallops previously mentioned, the tostada topped with guac and a generous amount of tuna rillette brought to life by the addition of fruity but spicy rocoto chilis, and the Kaluga caviar and eggs (I won't ruin the fun by describing this) with a shot of super chilled, syrupy vodka will make the palate happy. The favorite hot tapa, bravas potatoes. Layer after layer of potatoes fried incredibly crisp. Of course no tapas experience can be complete without the outstanding Spanish octopus. Incredibly tender. The tamarind mole truly wakes up the flavors. Well chosen selection of food friendly Spanish reds, whites, and sherry by the glass. Low markup. Don't forget, one tapa, one glass of wine. When we were seated we got Watermelon gazpacho as an amuse bouche and it was amazing. Wanted a whole bowl of it! Ordered a lot of stuff off the menu, and everything was very good! Everything was delicious and service was really great. If you're eating by yourself they can push it out as fast as you can eat it. Sorry in advance but this place deserves a long review. Edo Gastro has been on my list since last year & we finally decided to go for a birthday celebration. We started with the Txangurro, 30-Day Dry Aged Striploin Carpaccio, and the Bikini. For drinks, we had the Smokin' Out the Window and Edo'ld Fashion. The Carpaccio & Txangurro really set the tone for how the rest of the night was going to be. For entrees, we ordered the Wagyu Entraña & Arroz Meloso con Uni. To be honest, the Wagyu was not up to par. I'd skip that and order something else. However It might sound corny, but it's been a while since I've had a dish that made me smile with every bite. The Arroz Meloso did exactly that. The Uni mixed into the bamba rice with bites of octopus and that white sauce (still no clue what it was) was perfect. For desserts, we ordered Chocolate Cremoso and Flan, paired it with the Carajillo and Midnight Coffee Run drinks. I expected the Flan to taste like the usual I've had, but the lemon curd on the side made a huge difference. The staff even surprised my bf with a candle on it, which was super sweet! One thing I loved was that every time a dish came out, the servers explained what it was. Oh & you can also order a round of beers for the kitchen staff to compliment them ! The venue itself is intimate so it's perfect for date night. The food, service, ambiance, and overall experience here are absolutely outstanding. Made a reservation easily on their website and was seated immediately upon arrival. The staff is all very friendly, but there was a bit of a wait, about 5-10 minutes after being seated before being served. I tried the tasting menu and it was about 9 bites of heaven. They had to make some substitutions but all of it was still out of this world. Definitely go for the melt in your mouth Iberico add-on as it was so incredibly delicious. The bread was freshly baked with a crispy crust and fluffy inside and served with an assortment of delicious sauces. The scallops were also awesome with one having a bit of heat and the other having a lovely sweet and savory profile. The shrimp and crab ensaladilla was packed with flavor and had just a little heat on the finish. The texture was incredible. The seafood tostada had guacamole, 7 different seafoods, and a delicious savory sauce that were a few of the best bites of the night. It was incredible! The housemade sausage and potato and egg were both delightful, and the fried chicken with aioli and caviar is the stuff dreams are made of. The pork cheeks were a close second as they were melt in your mouth tender with a savory sauce and soft potatoes, topped with peppers. The strawberry sorbet and popcorn mousse were the perfect finish. I also had a couple glasses of wine to include the Albarino and a substitute for Cava (they only had Rosé Cava available, which I don't prefer). Both were great and average about $15 a glass. Overall for about $100 the tasting was a great time and worth the price. I left full and happy. I would definitely recommend giving them a try. I want to come back and try the black cod, the bravas potatoes, the lobster arroz meloso and the wagyu hangar steak. The carpaccio also looks divine. Can't wait to come back! read more

A definite yes to this restaurant!! Wow! The food was absolutely amazing. As a newbie, we tried the chefs tasting menu. Tapas style, small plates, imaginative, gourmet, fulfilling. We went with my brother who was visiting for the holidays and we both enjoy cooking a lot. I looked over at him at one point as he took a bite of the first offering and he looked as though he was going to cry from happiness. The service was absolutely great, the waiters were there to clear your plates for the next round but did not hover. I was in heaven eating the jamón, with cheese plate and the pan con tomato...wooooo weeeee!!! I literally closed my eyes and transported to myself to Spain with those flavors. Since traveling to Spain twice, I've always craved the pan con tomato and the jamón as it was in Spain. The mushrooms were the right amount of earthy with the parsley shining through. The green beans had a nice crunch to its texture so it wasn't cooked down to mush and the garlic brought it to life. The Spanish Octopus was one of our fav bites! The texture wasn't chewy which means it was fresh! I'm not a fan of octopus but I loved this tapa. The plaza is a little old looking with limited parking spaces in the evenings. We can hear a few ppl literally missed the door to this restaurant while trying to find it. We did the tasting menu and upgraded on a bunch of items to lobster, caviar, wagyu. Lots of items complimented of the chef, about 3-4. That's appreciated. All in all, a great dining experience. Most of the first few courses were just too eclectic with too many flavors. To my palette, those were not that enjoyable. I did appreciate the try. Presentation was amazing and attention to customers, above par. I would recommend ordering items a la carte. We totally and would order again and again as it's worth every single penny. There are other tasty things on the menu that I would love to try on a future visit. But it's hard not to have the tasting menu. Drinks and wines look expertly picked, designed, and made. Everyone was helpful and the service was perfect. I won't go into detail for each dish. I will say the best dishes that blew our minds were the carpaccio and pastrami. Also the dessert was perfect. Edo Gastro Tapas has achieved new levels of flavor and creativity with their tapas! This review will be for their chef's tasting menu, which I highly recommend! I love the subtle fusion of Asian inspired flavors throughout the meal. We made a reservation for dinner and were promptly seated and drink orders taken. I will be reviewing the chef's tasting menu in order from start to finish; please see attached photo of the menu for more details. Before our dining experience began, the chef sent over an amuse bouche of gazpacho, compliments of the chef. The refreshing, lightly sour and spicy flavor of this palate opener impressed me and made me greatly look forward to what the rest of the meal would contain. Hamachi tartare: Delightfully creamy with umami flavor! The tartare is very fresh, and with the ponzu sauce on the bottom adding more flavor and dimension to the texture of the tartare, the whole bite bursts with intense flavor. However, it isn't heavy on the palate or stomach. Paella honeycomb: What a unique conceptual play on paella! The honeycomb is so crunchy and crispy (while a little oily). The little calamari and baby shrimp are so tender and teeny. Picanha tartare tartalette: The presentation is so stunning, in the treasure chest! The shell of the tartalette is very thin and crispy; a perfect vehicle for the tartare within. The mint and thai basil flavors come out lightly in the bearnaise. The wagyu itself is so light and flavorful, yet thick and creamy. Visually and flavorfully stunning. Yoshi shrimp: Again, visually stunning like an artwork. Presentation has really been nailed down by Edo. The shrimp and roe are chewy and acidic; the ponzu adds a sourness that is sometimes a bit too much when eaten with the yuzu-avocado, but it's still tasty. Tarte flambee: The caramelized onions are the star here! They are crispy and crunchy, sweet and salty. The Iberico ham adds a salty chewiness, and the cheese on top smooths it out with a creaminess. Overall, an excellent blend to flavor and texture. Complimentary chawanmushi: I was surprised to get another complimentary dish on the house! The chefs here are too kind to us. Chawanmushi is a Japanese steamed egg custard, and homage is clearly paid here to its Japanese roots even in its role in a Spanish fusion restaurant. The shrimp in the middle is succulent and juicy, and the egg custard is cooked very classically. Maitake mushroom: While the mushroom is the star here, the foie gras sauce almost steals the spotlight with the unctuous fatty flavor it imparts. The mushrooms are tender and almost meaty with the juicy flavor they impart. Tempura artichoke: This might be my least favorite of all the courses, but since all the others created such a high standard, that might not be saying much. The artichoke is tender, but still snappy; the flavor is very faint, even with the remoulade. However, I wouldn't call it a tempura; the crispiness you expect with tempura isn't really there. Raviolini: Cute and delightful in flavor and presentation! The raviolini's are so bursting with flavor, even though they're so small. The caviar adds a nice saltiness to the fattiness of each bite. The chives and lemon zest add a freshness and lift up the heaviness of the overall plate. Washugyu hanger steak: The steak is cooked to a perfect medium rare! The gem lettuce is very tender (especially considering that this is lettuce, which tends to wilt under heat). The mushrooms marinade is sweet and savory, and adds a savory umami flavor to the steak. Dessert of the day: The DOTD was a white chocolate mousse with a strawberry granita. Wow! The nuttiness of the mousse was a perfect marriage to the sweet and sourness of the granita. The texture of the mousse was incredibly airy, light, and fluffy. The granita's iciness was very cleansing to the palate after such a filling and delicious meal! We actually got two desserts, since one of them was complimentary by the chefs! The other dessert was a hazelnut mousse with crackers and olive oil, and a bit of sea salt sprinkled onto the mousse. I love the play of savory in desserts; the salt really brings out the sweetness, and the crispy bread crackers were a textural vehicle for the creaminess of the mousse. I almost don't want to post this because others will know how good it is. My daughters took us here for my birthday tonight. Cute small little dining room that seats maybe 25 people. Nice Spanish mural on the wall. Service was excellent and attentive without being stifling. We felt really well taken care of. The food was out of this world. We went with the tasting menu. Started out with some excellent scallops. Then we moved on to dishes like Duck Agnolotti with a Foie Gras sauce. Beef Carpaccio with truffle and Parmigiano. The braised Tomahawk Short Rib was tender and flavorful. Not one bad dish on the whole menu. Definitely one of the better dining experiences I've had. Oh and the price tag, $80 per person. Very reasonable. Do not sleep on their Gin and Tonic cart. I had the Gray Whale Gin with Fevertree Tonic. Really hit the spot. We will definitely be back. read more

One of the best food we have had in the recent times and one of the best tapas place hands down We went with tasting menu of both regular which is both vegetarian and non vegetarian or only vegetarian and both were amazing Place feels like it is hard to find and has quite a decently parking and decent dining.would recommend reservations for big groups. Im so happy I found this place because it was exactly what I needed in my life. For my birthday I wanted to try something new, something flavorful, & something fun ! This place delivered everything plus more ! We tried the chef's special menu; if you want the full experience of their tapas dishes, definitely try this ! Every single dish had me completely mind blown; from the colors, to the textures, to the TASTE. Some dishes were too beautiful to even want to eat, we definitely still ate them but they were absolutely stunning. The servers were constantly popping up with new dishes and explaining that exactly we were eating and how to eat them properly. We had a total of 12 dishes and left completely stuffed. This is the best off the strip restaurant I've ever been too and truthfully I'm so glad it's off the strip because it's easier to locate and there's no traffic around the area at all! Wow! This place blew me away for both food and service. I'm going to be a complete snob here but it's really hard to blow me away. We are so lucky to have a place like this in town. In my opinion, it rivals similar mid-high tier places in Spain and definitely beats most of the fine dining restaurants on the Strip. If you are love food, you gotta come here. The thought behind the flavors, presentation, food quality, and expertise of service is all top-notch. Star of the show was surprisingly a vegetarian dish, the green tartare. Don't skip it. Beef carpaccio and anchovies were also amazing. As much as I don't like to mention value for places like this (you're trying to explore flavors, not get a ton of fried rice for $5), I have to say it's super well-priced for a 5-star meal. This place definitely lives up to its high rating. It's located in a very unassuming strip mall and the interior is decorated very simply and nicely. The service was outstanding - all of the waiters were extremely attentive. We never had to ask for a single thing! The food was a 10/10 and the sangria (rosé and red) were delicious. I would come back here just for the sangria! Our favorite items were the black cod, arroz rice, and calamari! Will definitely be back. read more
