Market itself is well lit and I think just a smidge more organized than Island Pacific though it is a bit smaller. All of the uncs post outside and hang outside this market though. Chowking has an entrance into the market and of course it has it's hot deli section, seafood and butcher section, good amount of fresh produce and lots of imported Filipino foods, cooking goods, cosmetics, and other items. Cashiers are pretty friendly even with a slight language barrier and I've never had to wait too long every time I've shopped here. Funny instance of my boyfriend cosplaying Astolfo, buying Red Horse beer here and someone recognizing his cosplay and asking for a picture immediately.

The pick up place is located in an industrial area sort of by Pepsi. You will just need to tell the security guard you are picking up an order and text then you are there. One of the things I hate about eating crab is cutting my fingers on the pokey things and making a huge mess. The taste is really good! I've noticed the ones I get at Costco are a little salty and watery. I thought because it's frozen and sitting in salt water...but these didn't have that over salty taste?? There used to be a retail shopping center down the plaza, but it's currently under major renovations right now, so not many places to walk around. I liked the grocery items and prices inside because they're actually much cheaper here than elsewhere. You can find familiar brands of your favorite Chinese snacks and beverages. Fruits/vegetables/meats look decent for the selling price. Vibes inside felt more like mainland China with some Taiwanese folks working nearby. Expect old fashioned style employees in this spacious grocery store that doesn't have many grocery shoppers in it. Employees look hardworking, but it's pretty dead for business operations. You can still find takeout foods and the tiny barbershop/hair salon is still operating. Don't expect lots of tables and chairs at restaurants inside. Better foods are outside. It just felt like this place is struggling to survive or may go out of business eventually. I hope the shopping center nearby opens soon to attract more customers to the plaza. They have old style deli foods and BBQ plates. It needs more life around here. When I hear HK2 Food District, I was expecting much better foods/dining options inside, but it wasn't like that at all. A bit aged and disorganized, but the disorganization is probably due to all of the people taking things and just putting them in random spots when they don't need it anymore. Decent selection in the produce, cooking ingredients, and snacks. I feel like this location is smaller than the other one as well and a bit more cramped and claustrophobic. It does its job like every other 99 Ranch Market, but there's better options out there.
