    The outside
    Franco L.

I was craving a cocktail or a tostada one day and as always, opened my Yelp app to explore the options. Soon after I found myself parking outside of El Pescador in LP. The location is in a large strip mall and there is plenty of parking out front. I was greeted when I entered and offered the option of to go or to eat there. I chose to eat inside. There was plenty of seating available. I was also pleasantly surprised the restaurant was cool inside as it was quite warm outside. We saw there was a 2 cocktail special advertised on the front doors and decided to give them a try. Our server was friendly and very attentive. She provided chips and tasty salsa and advised the special allowed us to have choices of cocktails, shrimp, campechana or shrimp with pulpo. The cocktails were served in tall cups which are very deceiving. Both cocktails were loaded with plenty of fish for the enjoyment. When accompanied by a cold Pacifico and some chips/salsa this was a very refreshing experience. I saw many others inside ordering various plates which all appeared to be palate pleasers. I look forward to returning to enjoy the fresh fish once again.

Fish tacos and fish and shrimp mojo de ajo... fabulous!!!!

Ridiculously fantastic food. Every single that I tasted was fabulous!! I ordered the fish and shrimp mojo de ajo... I don't think it's on the menu... but that didn't matter... service was outstanding. Only problem was... I wanted a gallon of the garlic butter sauce... that stuff was crack!!! The rice and beans were on point... really good.... Rare for a restaurant. The chips and salsa were yummy. Hubby ordered 3 fish tacos for $10.. he liked them a lot. This place rocks. I want to come back tomorrow!!!

4++ small unassuming seafood spot in an unassuming strip mall. Not a lot of frills here just delicious seafood at a very reasonable price. Come in order at the counter and have a seat and they bring you the food from what I remember. The person behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. I thought the prices I first looked a little high, but you seriously get so much food. I ordered two tostadas and a taco. I seriously can. I have just one tostada as was loaded with fresh ceviche. The flavors here are really good and everything tastes fresh. Inside, there is a counter, but almost feels like a deli. At this counter, you can order some fresh ceviche or other goodies. If you are just looking for a quick spot where he had delicious, fresh mariscos, then I think you have found a good spot. I definitely would come back if I was in the area.

Always an excellent meal. The marlin and gobernator tacos are both excellent, lots of good cerviche choices.

Where can I start, everything is delicious from the tostados, to the Camarones, cócteles, mojaras! Camarones a la diabla are savory, and spicy, no bland ketchup like taste like most places. The mojo are so mouth watering, and will leave you cleaning up your fingers of the bomb taste. Really a great place to come have some great food with a drink, good ambience and great staff!

Micheladas oh yeah ,, love this place , looks a Lil ghetto but it's not, been coming here for years
    Gabriel A.

All there food is great , 7 mares soup for cold days I recommend it , sometimes I take 2 pounds of ceviche to go

    Wayne C.

Try the 7 mares soup, you wouldn't regret for it. And the service is good, they got the best seafood. Police is fair.

Some nice looking little platters such as seafood, cooked vegetables with yam paste, some really nice looking salads for only $4.99 with edadame/beans (looks really healthy), the salmon eggs on chirashi bowls and sushi look Huge! I didn't get anything ready made, but might drive here for lunch sometime, lmao Good selection of different miso, some crafted miso as well. They have Organic Tofu for $1.99, and also packs of 3 nattos for $1.79-$1.99 We also got some umeboshi, which Cindy helped me find. Both of the staff I was talking to treated me kindly and were friendly! Also got Warabi Mochi Matcha - Must get! It's so addicting, the mochi is more jello like and so good + refreshing! The mugwort rice cake with red bean paste was also good, but I may reconsider getting this again, just not as good as the Warabi Mochi Matcha! Also picked up a Shimanoka Shiso - not sure how to use this yet, but very excited to have on bread or as a topping on rice. They have a good selection of ice cream, some cute utensils/pots/bowls section, as well as a small medicinal section. Really loved perusing this store, will probably be back since I realized I'm out of miso lol

Chowking has an entrance into the market and of course it has it's hot deli section, seafood and butcher section, good amount of fresh produce and lots of imported Filipino foods, cooking goods, cosmetics, and other items. It's a bustling shopping center, so parking can be a real headache. think musical chairs, but with cars. Once inside, you'll notice the aisles are about as wide as a handshake! seriously, it's like playing bumper carts with your shopping cart. But, the star of the show is their fresh produce. So many tropical fruit-galore! You can get papaya, all sorts of bananas, jackfruit, basically a mini vacation for your taste buds. They've also got a fresh meat section, plus an Asian snacks corner that's like a treasure chest of goodies, perfect if you're hunting for that unique bite. And let me tell you, some of their offerings are downright wild; like chicken heads and legs you won't see anywhere else, plus packaged beef and pork blood!!! yep, blood in a grocery store! I'm not exactly sure what to do with it, but it sure is a conversation starter. And speaking of interesting finds, they've got all kinds of liver; beef, chicken, pork. I grabbed a few things, including some fresh fish, which they'll clean for you, though, if you want a full fillet, forget it. They'll just chop off the head and tail, maybe scale it, but no fancy filleting here. All in all, I'd give this place a three stars. It's not the cleanest spot, let's just say the whole store smells like a seafood market at low tide. And with only two cashiers, you might feel like you're aging in line. But if you're on the hunt for those rare ingredients and don't mind a little chaos, it's worth a visit!

The pick up place is located in an industrial area sort of by Pepsi. You will just need to tell the security guard you are picking up an order and text then you are there. It was super easy and everything was packed very nicely and kept cold. I definitely looked like a baller at my Friendsgiving! The crab is precut which is super nice. One of the things I hate about eating crab is cutting my fingers on the pokey things and making a huge mess. The taste is really good! I especially like stopping by for their ready-made meals, fresh produce, and unique seafood selection. The produce section is always clean, well-organized, and easy to shop. One of my favorite finds is their frozen fish slices--they're perfect for making fish porridge at home. I also keep an eye out for their fresh shrimp whenever they're on sale. They're sweet, firm, and have a wonderfully crisp texture. Before heading to the checkout, I almost always stop by the bakery. Their buy 5 get 1 free bread promotion is hard to pass up, and it's a great way to stock up for the week. Another tip: if you're shopping later in the day, check out the sushi section. They often mark down fresh sushi during certain hours, making it an even better value. If you're in the neighborhood and need groceries, fresh seafood, or a quick meal, don't let the ratings discourage you. It might just surprise you--I know it keeps me coming back!

Fruits/vegetables/meats look decent for the selling price. Vibes inside felt more like mainland China with some Taiwanese folks working nearby. Expect old fashioned style employees in this spacious grocery store that doesn't have many grocery shoppers in it. Employees look hardworking, but it's pretty dead for business operations. You can still find takeout foods and the tiny barbershop/hair salon is still operating. Don't expect lots of tables and chairs at restaurants inside. Better foods are outside. Cashier basically told us the price scanned is what it is and don't look at the tag saying we saw the wrong items tagged and barcode.
