    Still open during construction
    Lawring W.

Under construction in the front outside but still open for business. I love the variety of tea bags available. They do need to restock on the Jasmine oolong though. They ran out of the small tote bags... Great service, didn't have to wait too long.

I always shop at 99 Ranch Market--they have a great selection of products, especially for everyday groceries. The produce and fresh food sections are very clean, which I really appreciate. The shopping environment is comfortable and not overly crowded, so it's easy to browse and shop without feeling rushed. Overall, a very pleasant experience every time I visit!

99 Ranch Market located in the city of Hacienda Heights is what I would consider an Asian supermarket that has a ton of imported food items from all the Asian countries like China, Singapore, Taiwan, and many others. I think that the price of the many snacks is pretty cheap and reasonable. Even when it is on sale I feel like you are getting a great deal. I like buying snacks such as chips, cookies, mochi, and instant noodles. You can find that these isles are pretty stocked up.

On the way home from a favorite sushi restaurant in nearby Hacienda Heights, we popped into this location, my first visit, in search of a particular peach tea my other half swears by. For some reason, it has become elusive, and H-Mart seems to have stopped stocking it. Moreover, not all 99 Ranch locations have it either, which proved to be the case here. I wandered around, checking things out, especially the fresh seafood. While smaller than other locations, the selection looked good. I commented to an employee behind the counter that things looked good, but his silent glance back was less than friendly, borderline hostile. Tone it down a notch fella'! This behavior, however, met its polar opposite at checkout. The sweet lady who rang up our meager purchase of porcelain soup spoons was cheerful and friendly.

The lady at the Register wouldn't let me buy Soju before 10am... that is so ridiculous. I've bought alcohol in advance at other grocery stores and she denied me. I was excited to come here as a first time experience but these people don't seem friendly at all and they stare at you.

Restroom Maintenance Needed My wife and I shop at 99 Ranch Market in Azusa, Hacienda Heights regularly. We like your store very much. However, the restrooms are not clean and need fixing. Here are the problems we see: 1. The hand dryers do not work. 2. There is no soap. 3. The toilet leaks and above issue has been leaking for more than six months. These problems make the restroom very unpleasant to use. Please fix these issues as soon as possible

This used to be a Stater Brothers grocery market before being bought out and changed to 99 Ranch Market. The bakery was not as complete as other Ranch 99 stores. The store is clean, organized, and the cashiers are very friendly, even if you do not speak Mandarin Chinese. Even though I was not a loyal frequent buyer, I still think the cashier could have scanned her card to provide a small discount.

This location is definitely a lot smaller than most of the other ones nearby. Not sure why since 99 Ranch is always known to be a supermarket giant. But since this one is closest to me, I come here when I just need some basic items. They do carry some vegetables here that other asian stores nearby might not. And its a great place to go for bakery items and chinese bbq. The roast duck is always delicious, and they always pack up half portions for you to grab and go. I also like that they offer fish frying services here as well. In terms of meat selection, it's not the best nor the most variety. Overall, just a smaller location for basic goods. P.S. Parking lot is shared with many other businesses in a shopping plaza, but its never too packed so parking is easy.

Best almond cookies! We love them
    Vic V.

They've got the best price for large container of almond cookies. Of course, they have a full service market with a great selection of meat, poultry, fish & assorted types of seafood. From snacks to sauces they've got it. They also have hot food up front & vary from store to store. The staff keeps a clean aisles & restrooms are always kept up & cleaned frequently. Parking is great bc they're in large shopping center. It's a MUST try for those of you who haven't yet. You will like something & more! Enjoy shopping & be safe.

Very disappointed with their rice dumplings. I bought Cantonese dumplings, it just have one pieces of pork in there. But on their label shows that has peanuts, mushrooms and more. 2 pieces for $9.99 just pork? Also Rice not fully cooked! Not recommend for anyone. I plan to give 0 star but there's no option for that!

of all asian or chinese/taiwanese supermarkets, this is prolly 1 that i frequent most over past 2 decades they usually carry 80% of items im seeking & generally i have no complaints bout those items during beginning of pandemic, they marked X (social distancing) as customers lined up in diff aisles 2 get 2 da registers ~ a couple of funny things occurred on a single visit that really stood out: a middle aged lady was wearin a produce bag over her head; not sure f she thought this helped protect her from covid then either line markers were confusing or that a certain customer wanted 2 cut in line, she went from 1 register 2 another; all hell broke loose, as a loud argument started between her & da person she cut in front of but then they started pushin/shovin (i do not understand wut they said as they did not speak in english) & throwin items from shopping cart ~ i joined another customer 2 try diffusin this chaos, as much 2 my surprise, no staff member intervened other than those 2 imcidences that happened during same store visit, i was caught off guard but commend store in checkin my ID when i bought cooking wine (didnt realize i had 2 show proof that i was over 21) ~ it was bit embarrassing + i didnt have my wallet on me so i was not allowed 2 buy it but thats their store policy & i know they were bein responsible retailers

Solid 99 Ranch location! Perhaps not as large as its biggest outpost, but they stock most of the things that folks need. Wasn't too crowded with easy parking. Employees were helpful.

The mugwort rice cake with red bean paste was also good, but I may reconsider getting this again, just not as good as the Warabi Mochi Matcha! Also picked up a Shimanoka Shiso - not sure how to use this yet, but very excited to have on bread or as a topping on rice. It's a bustling shopping center, so parking can be a real headache. think musical chairs, but with cars. Once inside, you'll notice the aisles are about as wide as a handshake! seriously, it's like playing bumper carts with your shopping cart. But, the star of the show is their fresh produce. So many tropical fruit-galore! You can get papaya, all sorts of bananas, jackfruit, basically a mini vacation for your taste buds. They've also got a fresh meat section, plus an Asian snacks corner that's like a treasure chest of goodies, perfect if you're hunting for that unique bite. And let me tell you, some of their offerings are downright wild; like chicken heads and legs you won't see anywhere else, plus packaged beef and pork blood!!! yep, blood in a grocery store! I'm not exactly sure what to do with it, but it sure is a conversation starter. And speaking of interesting finds, they've got all kinds of liver; beef, chicken, pork. I grabbed a few things, including some fresh fish, which they'll clean for you, though, if you want a full fillet, forget it. They'll just chop off the head and tail, maybe scale it, but no fancy filleting here. All in all, I'd give this place a three stars. It's not the cleanest spot, let's just say the whole store smells like a seafood market at low tide. And with only two cashiers, you might feel like you're aging in line. But if you're on the hunt for those rare ingredients and don't mind a little chaos, it's worth a visit!

The layout of the store was very interesting because it looked like a mini market, and they sell fresh exotic fruits and snacks. Ordering a yogurt was a bit confusing because I did not see any pricing, but they had some instructions on how to order. Step 1: Choose dry Greek yogurt. Step 2: Pick up your fresh fruits (limit 3 items). Step 3: Choose Topping (Oats, coconut chips, or boom boom pearl). Step 4: Honey or Dark Chocolate My daughter picked a small jar of Organic blue spirulina with coconut dry yogurt. Then she picked green grapes, mangos, and strawberries for her yogurt bowl. And we also picked boom boom pearl for topping, and chose honey at the end. Then the lady told me that the price was $24.08. It was pricey. I don't understand their pricing or explanation, even though I have the receipt. She told me that it took about 10-15 minutes to make it. Honestly, for the small jar of organic blue spirulina with coconut dry yogurt, it tasted a bit sour, and I was not a fan of it. The presentation of the yogurt was nice; however, for the price that we paid, it was still a bit ripped off. The fruits were fresh, and the boom boom pearl tasted like popping boba was interesting. The Greek Yogurt was a bit too thick. I would rather go to the Açaí bowl place to have more fresh fruit and a bigger portion. The lady was friendly and helpful. But I would rather go to Açaí bowl and Yogurtland combined next time. P.S. I forgot to mention that they were out of honey, so no honey in the yogurt bowl.
