I actually enjoyed visiting this SF Supermarket. For grocery shopping, it has everything you need to cook home foods. Snack selections were huge. I have never seen so many types of healthy coconut water and special deals on coconut water (1 Liter each) until I arrived here to browse around. I ended up buying a few different types to try ($2.19-$2.49 on sale each). Perfect for roadtrips and long distance driving for hours. Great hydration booster. Great prices and good value for nutritious beverages. Cookies and beverages were also fully stocked. No matter where you look, this giant store layout had it all. Ovaltine malt beverage powder $6.99 each is a fat wallet deal. Nice. Staffs didn't smile much. Business as usual. There was a security guy checking store receipts by the doorway. If I were a local, this would be the convenient stop for grocery shopping during weekdays when lesser people are parked in the public lot. There are many restaurants nearby too. The hours posted aren't correct and has yet to be fixed. There's been a few times when I've bought something and it has been passed the expiry date. Just check the dates on the food. They have fresh rice noodles near the vegetables and twice they were bad, it had white mold on it so I couldn't tell it was bad. I ate it thinking something was wrong with my broth until I picked up another package and stared very closely at the edges of the noodles. I never tried to return them because there's a sign at the register that says no refunds. The staff is friendly and prices are reasonable. You just need to be careful and double check the items are fresh. read more

It's a clean asian supermarket with plenty of the same offerings that other asian supermarkets have. One thing I live about this supermarket over some of the others is that it has a different unique variety of snacks and drinks that don't have the quantity or volume that is pushed to larger chains. I can't tell you what those snacks are else I can't find them again lol. You'll just have to explore and find them for yourself! read more

Sf Supermarket in West Covina is an Asian supermarket that isn't as popular or famous as 99 Ranch but they do have a lot of items that they have to offer. I feel like the staff here are super nice and will help you to look for a product that you can't find in the store. They are helpful and nice so don't be afraid to ask for help! Came here multiple times and I love getting their vegetables. It's not too expensive and it seems all very fresh. We also got their crabs which were on sale and a good deal. I was looking for some red envelopes and was wandering when a worker or manager noticed and pointed me on the right direction. Stopped to pick up some fresh salmon but out of stock. Checked out produce section. Excellent choices of fresh veggies and fruits. Good deals on some seafood ( live fish, crabs etc) and meat/poultry. Decent Asian market, lots of Chinese and Viet items for sure. I was pretty excited hearing that they were going to open one of these here, especially since this plaza and the one across the street are notorious for deleting markets. With the opening of the SF Supermarket, they also built a neat lion water fountain in front and both the store and the parking lot lights are pretty new and bright, so it's definitely improved the plaza overall. I generally only go to Asian markets to get junk for myself to eat or snack/candies for students and unfortunately, there's not much I can effectively get in terms of candy and snacks that makes it easy for me to split amongst many people here. Meaning less variety of candy and snacks that are individually packaged. I'd say go to 168 or 99 Ranch instead for those. In terms of just getting something just for myself to try? Not so bad. One of the biggest Chinese-Vietnam supermarket in the area. They have huge varieties and the price is comparable. They also give out some gift if we spend certain dollars. The down side of this store is the service. It's a terrible. The cashier is rude and really slow. The security guard is also really mean. He was mad and yell at the elderly customer who wants to came in to the store at 8:50pm. He said the store is closed even though the closing hour on the door stated the close at 9pm. I'm writing a Yelp Review for a supermarket and for good reason, this is one of the newest Asian grocers in West Covina, CA. It's part of the Chinese Vietnamese American supermarket chain, Shun Fat Supermarket, that can be seen across SoCal and other states like Nevada, Oregon, and Texas. I've been waiting to come to this place when they were doing construction and they have completely transformed the space. What was once a deserted and empty parking lot now has a beautiful fountain in front of the market, plants, and newly delineated parking. The supermarket is also huge, clean, and very well-organized. They're also giving away free gifts with different amounts of purchases. Check it out, but do note, it is really cold inside lolol. That AC be blasting LOLOL! read more

It's so great to have a fully stocked Asian market nearby! This market is waaaay better than the one before it. They have a lot of inventory and I usually find anything I need here - standard things for Asian cooking and other items as well. Produce is fresh and they have a great variety. I haven't tried the seafood counter yet, but the meat counter usually has things I want/need. Things are clean and stacked well so you can see them and the prices. The people behind the counters and the checkers are friendly and helpful, too. I really hope people keep supporting this place because it's great and I hope it's here to stay. I'm so glad that there's another Chinese supermarket "Shun Fat Supermarket" just opened in West Covina (next to neighboring city-Walnut). The plaza has been empty for so long and I'm so happy that SF chose this location here. They have grand opening today 9/1 and they have 3 days of free giveaways from 9/1-9/3. First 500 customers on 9/1-9/3 will receive a voucher for a 10 lbs bag of rice. They also have free gift for every purchase with minimum of $20. My friend and I got there before 9am on Grand Opening today and it was so packed in the parking lot. Its nice that they remodeled the parking lot so it looks new. We didn't know that we had to wait for more than an hour just to get in though and finally we were able to get in at around 10:25am after fire cracker and lion dancing. It is spacious inside and filled with all kinds of Asian food and produce. However, we didn't want to wait too long again at checkout so I only got a few items today. When you spend over $20 in these 3 days (9/1-9/3), just show them your receipt outside nearby the entrance, and then you can choose some freebies. If you are the first 500 lucky customers with the voucher just like me, you can also redeem the rice at the same spot (outside nearby the entrance area). 99 ranch supermarket finally has a strong competitor in this neighborhood now. P.S. hope they have more shopping carts available and I wish they will add bakery and deli section. I always like one stop shop. read more

We were so stoked to have another asian supermarket nearby. They sold a lot of chinese and Vietnamese goods. The veggies were labeled in both chinese and Vietnamese too, which I know my mom would appreciate. They didn't have a huge selection of snacks, but they had a good selection of canned and dried goods. The fruits and veggies were all fresh. I didn't have to pick forever to find a good one. They only had 2 registers open, but the cashiers were pretty fast. And the store was well organized outside of the aisles. Like, they kept the Vietnamese coffee next to the condensed milk, which made my life easier. read more

My new favorite Asian supermarket! They have a huge selection of fruits and vegetables. There's a lot of veggies here that sometimes you can only find at Vietnamese markets, but they have a good mix of both Chinese and Vietnamese, and even some Mexican. Tons of chicken, beef, pork, and seafood! Tons of frozen items! Tons of everything you can ask for! Not to mention most of the prices here are really good, and a lot of items come packaged in bundles that you don't see anywhere else. The first few months they were also giving out free goodies if you spend a certain amount. Now my new go to spot for whenever I go grocery shopping for asian foods! read more

This place has a little bit of everything, from live frogs and catfish to lumpia wrappers and delicious mango ice cream. I am shocked! This is not your typical Chinese store as they seem to carry a wide array of products from MANY Asian cultures--I find it hard to find Menlo wrappers for filipino lumpia outside filipino grocery stores and was shocked that they stocked it. They even carried some Hmong sausage and longanisa (filipino sausage)! I have also found some giant mangoes in their produce department (bigger than my hand) and I am in love with their produce. Lots of vegetables and fruits at super reasonable prices, I even got to try some black muscadine grapes this week. Even their meat prices are cheaper than the mexican and other stores I was shocked. They also keep their meat/seafood area super clean and nose-worthy. This is definitely one of my new favorite places to shop for asian groceries! read more

The market in this plaza has been sitting empty for years since the last. SF Supermarket really invested in the plaza and the property and I hope they will stay open for years to come. They repaved the parking lot and brought some "life" to this once deadened plaza. I had not had a chance to stop by until a couple of weekends ago (Grand Opening 9/1), because it was a hail Mary for some ingredients for a dish and we were pleasantly surprised with the freshness of the meat and the produce section - and even more so with the pricing. The meat section actually cuts meat for you, per your needs, unlike 99 Ranch where they no longer cut meat (especially pork ribs). I did not get a chance to walk-thru the entire supermarket but it was easy to locate what I needed. I also purchased a freshly made dessert in the fridge and it was very delicious! I would have given a better rating if it wasn't for the rude "security guard" blocking the door at 8:45pm when I got there. Just needed to run in quickly to grab something. I can see the cashiers were still checking out stuff for customers. The store hours posted on the entrance show they close at 9pm! The rude guard said the store is closed now (at 8:45pm). He said I can talk to the manager if I have a problem with that. I said sure, go get him. He then said I'd need to call! Stupid man. If the store is not allowing people to go in at 8:45pm. Then change your signs!! Better yet, change your closing hours to 8:30pm if you don't want to pay employees overtime and make them clock out exactly at 9:00! Meats are always fresh and clean. Reasonably priced too. So are the vegetables but the fruits are a bit expensive. But everything else in the supermarket is a bargain, including Filipino products, coconut milk, coffee, snacks, etc. The place is bright and clean and employees are polite and helpful. read more

Truly heaven for someone from the Central Valley with little to no access to Asian produce! My MIL and I were like kids in a candy store, just enamored by everything they offered.
