Ok, mushy tacos. I did eat them 5 minutes after getting them but they were very runny.

Fast, very friendly and the food was smoking hot and fresh! I ordered a shrimp basket with fries and coleslaw. Six lightly battered shrimp with tails removed. A good size and lots of fries to go with. The cole slaw tasted a little different- maybe lime in it and a little spice but very good. My hubby had the chicken tacos with no guac and it also came with a side of fries. Very filling! We will most likely be back to try something else, including the flan (or maybe I should say especially for the flan!). We just arrived in Key West and the first place that some of the locals told us to try was Pescado. Now the bar has been set extremely high for the rest of the trip to equal this quality of food service and flavor. We tried the shrimp Po boys and they were fantastic! You get plenty of food for the money. I also had the conch salad. I normally would not have eaten this but I am so glad I did. It was a light refreshing and delicious. If you're riding around the area of White Street and Truman Avenue you've got to stop by this food truck. You will not be disappointed! read more

Visiting my "snow-birding" grandparents yet again this Winter, and like every time in Key West, I love to seek out the freshest seafood. Pescado is nestled in the back of the Chevron parking lot, surrounded by repurposed antique ironing-board tables painted bright pink, whimsical and very unique! The "truck" itself is painted yellow with blue waves and is occupied with their lovely employees, both of whom had good information on the fresh seafood and very friendly. Anyway, to the food-I got the daily special Blackened Yellowtail Sandwich with Pineapple Slaw and fries. Delicious! The Yellowtail was beautifully cooked and seasoned, and the slaw was a nice contrast to the seasonings. My only complaint on the sandwich was that the roll bottom became very moist on the bottom (probably due to us taking it home as opposed to eating immediately) and started to almost melt away, so I had to eat the sandwich up-side down, which is fine. Can't beat fresh fish! My Grandfather got the Key West Pink Po Boy sandwich, of which he greatly enjoyed and spoke highly of. The fries were fresh-cut and double fried so they were very crispy and a golden-brown color, nice and slightly sweet with a great texture throughout. Despite the bun, these factors contributed to a fantastic sandwich and side. Hopefully I can return sometime soon before I head home to the chilly north! read more

Just got this today for lunch, and I had to write a review. Boyfriend found this place here on Yelp, and I'm soooo glad he did! This is my 2nd time in Key West, and boy do I wish I had known this food truck existed the first time around! We got a lobster roll and a fried hog fish sandwich with a limeade and a tamarind tea! It might be the best meal I've had on vacation! The drinks were flavorful and the perfect complement to the sandwiches, which tasted very fresh. The lobster roll was perfectly creamy (more lobster, less cream) with a deliciously toasted bun. The fish sandwich had light breading, which allowed the light and flaky taste of the fish to come through. Each sandwich came with fries and cole slaw. The fries looked and tasted delicious. I normally don't like cole slaw but had quite a few bites of theirs (once again, less cream, which I prefer). The young woman who took our order was very friendly. She easily answered some of our initial questions. She brought out our food to the benches they have sitting in front. A few minutes after we started eating, she checked on us to make sure we were doing well! They have a smaller menu (it's a food truck - check out the photos others posted), but from what I ate, I would assume it's all amazing! They're only open from 11-2. Once they run out of something, sorry it's gone, so make sure you don't get there too late. It's a Tuesday and we arrived at 1245, and the catch of the day was gone. Wow. This place was amazing! I wanted the lobster roll the first day I went but unfortunately they were sold out by the time I got there, so I got the burger. It was one of the best burgers i've had in a long time. The bun was buttery and delicious and the bacon sauce was amazing. It comes with fries and coleslaw, which were both delicious as well. The limeade was refreshing and light and went perfectly with my meal. I went back for the lobster roll the next day and it did not disappoint. This place is small but AMAZING. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! DELICIOUS! I had one of the specials, which they have often, the shrimp empanadas. Oh my goodness, they did not disappoint. The empanadas are pretty big too and filled generously, served beautifully. I got some of their hot sauce too, and it actually is spicy. You won't regret it, try it out. read more

Rice is parboiled. Beans are not refried and have no flavor. Fish didn't taste fresh. They loaded my burrito with way too much rice and beans. Hardly any guacamole and pico, it was more like a spread. So skimpy w those ingredients and way too much flavorless rice. Not worth the price. Didn't taste authentic at all. read more

We love to eat local - not chain restaurants. So, while on vacation, we found Pescado on Yelp and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. Our 3 boys (ages 12 - 18) love seafood and this place was excellent. We would consider this a destination restaurant - too bad it's thousands of miles away. We would eat here again and again. This place only has a few items on the menu which is always a great sign for me. That means they are great at the few items they serve up. I ordered the special of the day which was the Mahi wrap. The veggies in the wrap were crisp, fresh, and full of color. The mahi was a brick sized portion of seafood perfection. The wrap was comes with fries and coleslaw. Fries and coleslaw were good but the wrap naturally stole show. The prices very reasonable. The gentleman cooking (owner maybe) is very friendly and takes pride in what he does. Don't let Guy Fieri's frosted tips at DJ's clam shack fool you. I wanted to get a lobster roll while here in Key West and the best yelp review was that of DJ's. So, I made my way to DJ's to get my fix. While good, it lacked fries or a side. I felt that the roll had too much sauce, which distracted from the taste of the lobster. So, I went for round two and found "Pescado" - Awesome. The right mix of sauce and lobster, and with an added side of fries and slaw all at a decent price. Do it. You won't regret it! read more

Since this was our first visit to Key West we called upon our nephew who lives in Florida for his recommendation's. He immediately said "I'm going to tell you about this place that is nothing more than a trailer in a gas station parking lot, but I guarantee it will be the best lunch you had in a long time." That's a tall order but not one we were willing to ignore. Wanting Grouper, we asked if they had any and wouldn't you know it, they were cutting a beautiful filet down as we asked. We had a fantastic and tender local lobster roll and an outstanding Grouper filet over arugula, pears and heirloom tomatoes. Take our advice and go there without hesitation. Great food, great customer service. I would come here 10xs over. I don't eat seafood but had a hamburger that was amazing. My uncle who is visiting me from DC had a lobster roll and he raved about the size of it as well as the taste. My buddy had the fish sandwich and he said that the fish sandwich was also great. Customer service was awesome as we came almost at closing time. They were still very accommodating and made sure that we had everything that we needed including refills on our iced tea... I've been vacationing in key west for a week now and this is the best all around dining experience I've had all week. The food is authentic and delicious and the lime aid was superb. Was with my family we got the po boy, the lobster roll, and the fish basket! All three were great and they come with generous helping of fries. This inconspicuous trailer-turned-food truck is located on the side of a gas station, but don't let the pumps and lack of parking dissuade you. Food is served in to-go containers and it's up to you to find a seat nearby, stand up and eat, or pig out in your car. I don't know if I'll cover all the bases here, but on the advice of a friend, I traveled four hours from Fort Lauderdale to make sure my honey got a cup of their conch salad, which is only available on Fridays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (their hours of operation). She said it may have been the best she had ever eaten! I'm not big on seafood so I ordered a burger, which came with fresh-cut fries. HOLY MOLY ... BEST. BURGER. EVER ... and I've eaten A LOT of burgers in my lifetime. I never thought THIS would be the place where I find the burger to top all burgers. There was nothing gimmicky about this burger, just plain, fresh, deliciousness. Lettuce, tomato, bacon aioli, and caramelized onions served atop a fresh patty (I got mine medium) and toasted bun, next to a big bed of thick, well-done fries that were so simple, yet so delicious. The lady and gentleman (I stink with names) serving all the goodness were very busy but pleasant and recommended we come back the following day for the conch fritters. While driving back to our hotel yesterday, we saw the Pescado food truck. The food was amazing and the customer service was outstanding!
