I tried the asada and carnitas wet burritos so far, and it's delicious. The burrito itself is quite massive, and the fact it comes with a small salad and orange slice--it's a decent portion, and I love the balance. One of the employees here is very kind, and I found out that other employees that I work with nearby also come here regularly. I will be checking in from time to time for the burritos because it's a fast service with great customer service. The second time, they made sure to not put so much sauce since I requested it, because the first time, it almost spilled. The asada is all right, but the carnitas is really scrumptious and worth eating again and again. Also, their horchata was very cinammon-y, and you could see chunks of it in the drink itself. I'll have to try their other agua frescas sometime, and hopefully, I can try their specialties with a friend for dine-in eventually. read more

Recommended by a coworker, we had a hankering for a molcajete. The molcajete was filled with nopales, queso, chorizo, carne asada, shrimp, and chicken. Sauce was delicious. Ambiance was typical for a strip mall restaurant with booths and tables. Service was great as waitress was attentive to our needs. They serve rice and beans and tortillas. I'd recommend if your in the mood for ceviche to try there ceviche trio, which comes with 3 different tastings of there ceviches... its good enough, and well served to share between two people. Food is great here, we were the only family in the restaurant and music was so loud that we couldn't talk to each other. We asked to have the music turned down and they turned it a little and stated they could turn it down any more. We asked to turn it off and was told they have to have music. My thoughts are they can have the music as loud as they want, probably means they will not have customers. Not sure we are coming back, it is a shame. read more

I came in and was greeted right away by Jenny. We ordered the Back to life Cocktail. Soo delicous. My sons had the taquitos and they were so flavorful. No no no!! My mixed molcajete had rancid meat in it, my wife and I were sharing and both said to each other "Do you taste it? I said "Yes" the carne asada Is 100% rancid. This is not acceptable, cooks cannot put out rancid meat like this and expect people not to get sick. Waitress was a little dumbfounded that I was telling her the meat was bad. She asked to replace it, and I said "Nooooo" no more meat. This is what happens when cooks don't smell everything and also management buys really cheap cuts. read more

First of we placed our order and the table next to us got our order the gentleman next to us told the waiter that was not his plate after he touched the shrimp on the plate the waitress takes the plate back to the kitchen and comes back to our tablet with the same plat the gentleman had touched I quickly addressed the waitress and asked her are you being serious right now your brining us the same plate the gentle just touched to our table she quickly didn't know what to say she apologized and said they would make it all over again! I was not about to wait for that for all I know the would just switch the plate around! That was disgusting don't come here! Went to this restaurant for the first time and ordered the shrimp enchiladas, sounded yummy on the menu. Sadly disappointed. The tortillas were drenched in the watery pink like sauce, which I'm guessing was supposed to be a red sauce. There was absolutely no flavor to them and the shrimp were clearly from a frozen bag. There was no taste whatever. The inside of the enchilada was full of these tiny shrimp and nothing more. I'm giving it two stars because the rice and beans it came with were fairly decent. read more

This place is awful. I came here thinking it was still El Pescador since the outside still has that name and the menu does as well. This place is not as good as the original El Pescador. First off, their camarones a la diabla were cooked using cooked frozen shrimp you get from the grocery store. The shrimp was boiled with sauce added on top, this is not how you make that dish. The shrimp is supposed to be grilled with the tail on. Next, the beans they served us had an awful taste, they had already gone bad. Also, the wet burrito was drenched in canned salsa not homemade salsa. To top it all off, it was grossly overpriced. If you're looking for good seafood food or Mexican food go somewhere else. For years I have enjoyed your fish ceviche tostadas. Today, we I cancelled our order for half a tray when I was told that it would be $96+ for the tray and 12 extra tostadas as the order comes with 12 already. I understand prices have risen but the price for 1/2 a tray is outrageous. We were there a few weeks ago and unfortunately noticed a change in the freshness and quality of the food. My husband had the fish plate, son had the enchilada plate and I had the fish soup. Honestly, not satisfied or impressed and wanted to continue to give you our business. We wanted to give your ceviche a try as we have always enjoyed it. However, at those prices we cannot. I wish you luck as I know times are challenging but for that price and quality we cannot continue to support your business. I've been living in La Mirada for about a year now and finally decided to give their food a try - and let me tell you, I was seriously impressed! The flavors were on point, so I ended up placing a huge order for a party, and guess what? They totally nailed it! I brought my pot for some menudo and they made 25 deliciously mixed burritos. That menu has a good selection of food with NO Flavor. We ordered Horchata that is crossed off the menu & she failed to tell us there is NO REFILLS (2) Glasses =$7.50 for two basic Glasses of Milk. We ordered (2) Margaritas that you can get as an option included in the price for the Lunch Deals at $10.95... Sweet syrup, with a salted Rim!! I have Never in my life past up a Free Glass of alcohol but these were Disgusting!! They tasted like crap & I could not tolerate the SWEET gross Drink. I left both on the table. We ordered the Chile Colorado plate... my husband says it Tasted Like Canned Meat with Red sauce. I ordered the Chili Relleno & it was good , Not the best I have had but the Best thing on our table of CRAP. We live 3 blocks from here for over 15 years & I promise WE WILL NEVER BE BACK. A lot of parking & from past visits ( there was other owners) the restroom is nice. Our Grand Total WASTE of Hard earned cash was $32.19 + $3.81 = $36.00 I am a little bothered by paying for this crappy food, what a let down on a Friday evening. read more

Tasty food! Great service, highly recommended if you're in the area. Their food quality is great you can tell it's freshly made to order. We had the famous molcajete that's served on a hot stone with variety of proteins drawn in delicious hot molcajete salsa. We also had to start the Trio sampler it's all ceviches in one. Today I called to order a Morcaje for 4 people . Per the young lady who took my order advised me they only have the morcaje that feeds 2, ok so i ordered 2 . But the order only come with rice and beans to feed one person ‍? Once I got home and started plating I notice it had no salsa in which the morcaje it served with . All my meat was dry .
