First of all the service was AMAZING! We came with two small children and my 2 year old refuse to eat and one of the workers asked if she could give my kids candy. Loved that she asked first. But once we said yes she told my two year old she can only eat it after she eats her food. Which she did. Second of all. The food was DELICIOUS. Our serve was so sweet. She helped calm our daughter down.

Good service, good food, fair prices. Overall, I can't complain! Taqueria Las Comadres leans more restaurant quality than fast food in my opinion. The menu is large enough you can get lost in it especially if you're not familiar with the Spanish names of the entrees. The presentation of the dishes were fantastic. They definitely take pride in what they serve. We had the super fries with steak and chilaquiles with steak. Nothing to complain about really. Maybe a little more side of beans would have completed the meal a bit more (seemed a smidge light) but that's all I can really critique. Trying again especially their tortillas

This place is quite small but the vibes are there. Parking is limited since it's located in a small plaza strip, but I haven't had issues finding parking so far. I've came here on several occasions throughout the years, and never had I encountered any issues. The service is always great and the food is too. They give out chips and salsa before bringing out your food. Side note: The agua fresca was a dollar more on the menu but I suppose it's to cover the cost of the cup it comes in, since you get to take that home with you. Honestly the prices are decent and if you're looking for some Mexican food, I recommend.

I went here during my lunch break from work and couldn't believe there was such a hidden gem in this area! I've passed by this street countless times but never thought to stop by -- what a miss that would've been! I tried the wet burrito, and it was such a unique and tasty experience. You can choose your sauce, and I picked two to try both. I personally liked the green sauce a bit more, but both were delicious. I'll definitely be coming back with my kid next time! Service also really good and nice and clean inside.

This Mexican restaurant is a hidden gem. Taqueria Las Comadres located in La Mirada is a family owned restaurant known for its flavorful and homemade style Mexican cuisine. They recently launched a few new items including the shrimp ceviche and Shrimp AguaChile. The salmon el pastor with pineapple was so good. The Baja tacos were perfectly battered with fish and shrimp. The tacos gobernador was cheesy and delicious. They used a three blend cheese including mozzarella, Monterey Jack, and provolone. The fries and coconut shrimp had the prefect crunch. Taqueria Las Comadres is a go to spot for locals looking for authentic, fresh, and reasonably priced Mexican food.

I've been here a few time and every time I try to go or order there's always a problem first time I went they charged me for the wrong tacos and the lady was nice about it and hit refunded Today I got a text for taco Tuesday so I'd thought I'd try it out I call them to make order and tell them about the. Special and they said it wasnt valid. I got that message 2 hours before trying to make my order.

The menudo here is goooood! Just like that - flat out review. Thick red caldito de chile rojo, meat is very clean, not overcooked to wobble on your spoon and not undercooked to where your chewing like rubber . Muy perro el menudo. I haven't tried anything else, small little place, very friendly , little salsa bar , frijolitos con chips while your food comes out ! Will keep coming on Sundays cause I know que aquí no le erro!

Ask the Community - Taqueria Las Comadres

    Do they cater?

    Call them.

    Do they have birria quesatacos?

They have excellent Birria, beef or goat. The quesatacos are not a normal menu item, but occasionally they will make them (or similar with the consome) as a special item. Often it depends on the chef as some know how to make them, and some don't…

    Do they have taco Tuesday?

Yes! $1.25 street tacos on Tuesdays. Check out their Instagram also, they always have "show this post" deals for other days as well. Awesome!

Their moles are definitely worth trying. We've had the mole negro and the mole pipián, and both were delicious. The mole negro is a little sweeter, while the pipián has more spice. They also serve tortilla chips with mole, which is something I haven't seen at most Mexican restaurants. The reason I can't give 5 stars is because the service has been hit or miss. We've been here three times. The first time was shortly after they opened. The food tasted decent but came out cold, and the service wasn't the best. It was during the week and not very busy, so we figured they were still working out the kinks of being a new restaurant. After some time, we decided to give them another try. We went on a busy Friday night and were seated right away. The service was much better and everything seemed to be running more smoothly. We talked with the owner who was working as well as his wife who was bartending. They were both really friendly, and the owner seemed genuinely happy that we came back after we told him about our first experience. He even gave my husband a free beer after we moved to the bar to keep drinking after we finished our meals to allow for other guests to dine at the table we were. There was also a trio playing that night which added to the ambiance and was a nice way to end the work week. Our most recent visit was a couple of weeks ago for my husband's birthday. It was during the week and once again they were short-staffed. There was only one waitress taking care of the entire restaurant. She was so sweet and hustling the whole time but she was also bartending while serving every table. We definitely had to pack our patience because she was doing the best she could. Overall, Sol 626 has so much potential to be a great spot. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are what keep bringing us back. They need a little more staffing so the service can be as good as everything else.

Even though the restaurant is small and busy, we were seated right away, which was a great start. Our waiter Washington, was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and made our whole experience even better. The atmosphere was perfect too. They had music playing at just the right volume and a big TV showing the live Dodger game, which the kids loved. We started with chips and salsa. The salsa had the perfect level of spice for everyone at the table. The kids ordered horchatas and were excited about the unlimited refills (something you don't always see at other restaurants!). The drinks for the adults were just as impressive. My wife's watermelon margarita on the rocks was perfectly made. It was not overly sweet or syrupy like at some places. Our friends had the "El Jefe" margaritas, and they definitely didn't skimp on the tequila! For dinner, everything was a hit. The kids loved their meals. Albóndigas soup, shrimp tacos, and street tacos--all served with rice and beans. The adult dishes were just as good. The carne asada arrachera was cooked perfectly, the chile verde was full of flavor, and my chicken mole was delicious with a great balance of spicy and sweet without being overwhelming. The portions were very generous, and everything came with rice, beans, and both corn and flour tortillas. The only small thing I would've preferred differently was the chicken in my mole. I personally would've liked a leg and thigh instead of sliced chicken breast but the dish was still very good overall. What really stood out was the hospitality. At the end of the meal, Washington offered us "holy water"-house tequila shots on the house--and it wasn't cheap tequila either! Then after the bill came, he surprised us again with another round of "holy water". That level of generosity and care really impressed us. We also learned that the restaurant has been there 20+ years and is family-run by him and his siblings, which made the experience feel even more personal. You can tell they have a loyal customer base--one couple even said, "See you tomorrow Washington!" The only feedback we'd offer (coming from a customer service background) is that we noticed a few guests waiting at the entrance without being greeted, and one couple actually left the restaurant. A simple "Welcome, we'll be right with you" would go a long way. That said, it didn't take away from our experience. Overall, amazing food, great service, generous portions, and a welcoming family atmosphere. We will definitely be back to try more of their menu!

We came here because my cousin DJSP was the featured DJ this Sunday, so I did my Yelp research and to be honest, I didn't know what to expect because the most recent reviews were a couple of months old, no recent food photos and menu photos were outdated.
