I cannot leave a negative enough review for this company. Paid several hundred dollars to treat gophers, ants and spiders and simultaneously signed up for a year long contract. First, they treated for ants and they disappeared within a a few days. Finally, I thought I found a great effective company .. I was wrong. Turns out they are great with ants and have no experience with gophers. The gophers continued to multiply, I called and spoke with the tech, he said the gophers would return because we weren't treating the slope (our property). I asked he treat the slope (since my husband had mentioned it was part of the deal). The tech basically said my husband was lying and told him the slope was not our property. Does that even make sense? Anyways, after arguing and frankly insulting me by saying my husband was not telling the truth he agrees to treat the slope. Fast forward, months go by, gophers continue to destroy my yard, I call the office, the women who answer the phone say they can't answer any questions about treatments. I say the treatments (bait only) are ineffective, they say talk to the tech. After much negotiation, the tech agrees to come more regularly since he admits his treatment has not worked at all. I have pictures to prove this. At this point my yard is filled with holes. He says he is trying something new - sounds like gas. He performs this once and then doesn't come back... more holes in my yard.. I called to request he come and check the following week, they say it's their policy to only come once a month. Never was I told that before I signed a year long contact for ineffective service. I explain this was not the deal, they finally agree to come twice in one month.. throw some bait down.. more holes in my yard. Sometimes they make the appointment and no show - this happens several times. No one calls to reschedule, I realize they never showed and call and reschedule. They tell me they don't have an appointments for another week... more holes and more holes. Finally the contract ends. Over $500 initially and $70 per month for a year and my professionals landscaped lawn look like crap. Now, that I am working with a real gopher company I am even more livid and even more certain Pestcal has no idea what they are doing. Per many gopher companies I spoke to- bait doesn't work for gophers and are completely ineffective. Pestcal should remove this as a service offered. I wish I could have my time, money and energy back from this terrible experience. read more

I had rescheduled an appointment for them to come and service the house after the initial meeting they informed me we had to be out for 4 hours or so as the treatment clears. The initial meeting was on time, professional, and informative. On the reschedule date, I had to take PTO to stay at home. Appointment was 12pm to 2pm, and I got a call around 3:15pm and was informed the tech can be there in 15 minutes. I politely declined. All I got was an "I'ms sorry." Yea so am I. What the issue was, is that had they informed me they couldn't make it to the initial set time, I could of went and picked up my daughter from her first day of school. But instead missed it. Updated After the initial treatment, I was scheduled for my bi-monthly treatment on last Friday. The technician contacted me at 3:30 pm and he said he will be here in 50 minutes. OK, I waited until 4:30 PM and no one came here. I tried to call him several times but no one answered the phone. So I waited and waited until 6 pm, still no one. Today I reached out to the office and she said the technician did arrive at that time and there was nothing wrong with that technician. OK, misunderstanding maybe. She said the earliest time she could help me schedule is 13 days later. Come on, I have spent more than 1 hour preparing my home for the treatment and I need to spend another 1 hour putting my stuff back and another 1 hour preparing 13 days later? The previous service was good but now I just feel so disappointed.. read more

I wasn't happy at first with their service but then they reached out to me to get a second chance. They could have not reached out and not tried to make the customer happy. Sergio did a great job and communication was key to tell me what they will do and what I can do to get the most out of the treatment. I wish they had a 10 rating. PLEASE read this before you choose a pest control company. I had a little problem with mice. Now the mice weren't in the attic or foundation, but one of my cute little kitties was bringing them in as gifts for me. Four within a matter of minutes. All alive!!!! I always pick 3 companies when I need something done. I had two come out and Pestcal was the third. Now, you have to understand, unfortunately, when many contractors come to the house and see a little old lady, they think they can take advantage of her. The first company that come out, and they have great ratings here, told me I had rats in the attic, that there were droppings everywhere in my house and that the job would cost $6,000. The second company came out and I was told the attic was fine, no problems up there but I had several areas in the foundation that needed fixing. To do the whole job would be $2,500. Then came the third company, Pestcal. Norman was great!! He actually checked the attic, not just poked his head in....no problem up there. Then he checked the perimeter outside...couldn't find any issues out there either. He said there were a couple of areas that could use some attention, but nothing major. Maybe a couple of hundred dollars. FINALLY, AN HONEST COMPANY!!!! Their priority is doing the right thing for the customer. This is the kind of company you want to hire for any work you need done at your home. I'm not going to name the other companies for several reasons, but I don't think Yelp allows that. I just want to reassure you that this is a legitimate review. As you can see by the other reviews the customers are extremely happy with Pestcal. read more
