Look at the menu before you go in... self ordering system ... good though food could have been a bit warmer.

Just treated my family to dinner. To say we were underwhelmed would be an over statement. $73 for three plates of ok food, disappointing.

You step inside and head upstairs, and suddenly the outside world is forgotten. It's its own little realm holding court in the heart of Chico. It is warm, inviting, and has plenty of seating, with a full cast of attentive staff, and decor that doesn't shout "Italian!" from the rooftops, but is very hipster whispering with confidence. We opened with the lamb appetizer, and I'll admit this with measured humility... it rivaled my own. Tender, well-seasoned, and not a trace of that gamey nonsense. The Brussels sprouts followed suit, crisped just right, delivering that perfect bite between char and flavor. The bread and dipping combo? Let's just say restraint was not my strong suit. A few pizzas passed by like temptation itself, and every one of us took notice. Plans were made... our future visit in the works. For the mains, the birthday girl claimed the ribeye, and it arrived exactly as it should... cooked to perfection, with potatoes that could quietly steal the show if you weren't paying attention. Her boyfriend and I, in a moment of questionable maturity, settled our fate with Rochambeau. He emerged victorious and took the crispy chicken breast with gnocchi, a dish generous enough to test even a committed appetite. I went with the short rib ragu, rich and comforting, the kind of plate that doesn't need explaining. The drink selection holds its own, and the dessert menu read like a final act worth staying for... but we were defeated in the best possible way and bowed out early. Service never missed a beat. Present, attentive, and smooth from start to finish. Parking, as with most things in downtown Chico, requires a bit of patience and perhaps a small offering to the parking gods. But once inside, it's quickly forgotten. All told, a night well spent. Good food, good company, and a place that knows exactly what it's doing without needing to announce it. We'll be back... if only to answer the question those passing pizzas left behind.

After being sat, we received water and bread fairly quickly, but service went downhill from there. It took another 5-10 minutes for our server to check in, and when she did, we asked for a little more time. She returned about 5 minutes later and took our order, which included an appetizer and salads. From that point on, the wait times became excessive. Our appetizer didn't arrive for at least 30 minutes, and the salads took even longer. By the time we finally received them, we had already been there for about an hour. To make matters worse, a table seated after us received their food well before we did, finished their meals, and even ordered dessert while we were still waiting. At that point, we decided to just have our food boxed up to go. When we got home, the food itself was also disappointing. My lasagna was dry--which shouldn't be the case--and my boyfriend's dish was overly salty. Overall, the service and food quality did not meet expectations, especially for a special occasion. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

I came with a friend for dinner and decided to try their popular appetizers and they did not disappoint. The bruschetta we ordered came with toasted bread and a good amount of toppings that contain fresh ingredients, a favorite tonight. The steamed mussels and that "sauce" were a perfect addition to the bruschetta. I ordered the Seafood Alfredo and they did not skimp on the seafood which was a pleasant surprise because I find that happens at time at restaurants I've visited in the past. I haven't tried all the entrees but I really enjoy this one. My friend had the eggplant parmigiana and said it was superb and enjoyed it as well. She also had a drink, the sangria, a recommendation from the waitress, which my friend gave two thumbs up! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is charming, the service is great and the food is excellent. Great night.

This place gives off Tony Soprano vibes. It would fit right in New Jersey. The bread and oil are a nice starter after placing your order. Servers here are really nice. Tried the stuffed mushrooms which were cheesy and a bit greasy but soaking it up with the bread was spectacular. It was a bit spicy too so be warned. Portions here are huge. My favorite here is the Tour of Italy which comes with fettuccine Alfredo, chicken parm, and lasagna. Fun and tasty tour! My son enjoyed their pepperoni pizza and had plenty of leftovers. My fiancee did the spaghetti and meatballs which she had plenty off. This place didn't blow me away with their pasta but it definitely beats a lot of other options in the area and it's a fine dining establishment as far as Yuba City goes. Great hospitality and more than decent food makes it one of our top choices to enjoy a nice dinner when in town.

We made reservations online due to the fact that it was graduation week for Chico State and the process was easy. We were seated immediately, the restaurant is a little bigger than expected because we were seated in the back section of the restaurant. But - definitely small at the same time because in the front of the restaurant is the bar and right next to the bar are the bathrooms; if there are people standing around the bar, there is no room to move around them. (When we were there those standing around the bar were are barely aware of their surroundings and didn't move for you to get through) Our server was vibrant and nice, he made sure to mention the new items for the week and hyped up each dish we chose to order; he even remembered that we were there for a birthday (as I added this comment in the reservation). However there were little mishaps, for example : my husband said no anchovies in his Cesar salad... when the salad was brought: anchovies. Our server took all my utensils when he cleared our table and left me with nothing; he noticed and said: "I will bring you an extra fork for your dinner." - welp , no fork was brought.. We both got pasta: I got the shrimp Alfredo, he got the Alfredo and added meatballs... I raised my hand to try to get our servers attention, but that didn't happen so my husband gave me his fork and he ate his pasta with a spoon. (Don't try it). I think our server was just a little frantic. When we got our food we agreed that the Alfredo sauce was a little watered down with not much flavor. (Had to add salt) but they did give big portions. At the end of the meal, we got brownies on the house for my birthday, which was nice. Overall, will we got back? Probably not. But- we did see a video online stating their calamari was the best thing on their menu, so MAYBE we will go back to try that.? Who knows.
