Sicilian Café is way bigger on the inside than it looks. The outdoor bar area was completely full when we arrived, and the interior dining room was packed too--the crowd never really let up, which I think says a lot. We had reservations and were seated immediately. We started with the garlic bread and bruschetta, both of which were excellent. The mozzarella on the bruschetta was especially rich and buttery, definitely a standout. The moscow mule was refreshing, though I wish the ginger had a little more kick, and the cool strawberry mocktail was superb, not too sweet with the mint coming through. For mains, the spaghettini had naturally sweet tomatoes and a thick sauce that clung beautifully to the noodles. The scallops were fresh and sweet, though the mushroom risotto with saffron crème they sat on leaned tangy, which might be hit-or-miss depending on your palate. The chicken piccata was also quite tart, true to style. And the pork special was good too. We ended with the spumoni that was cherry-forward, and tiramisu, which was fantastic. Decadent, yet light and airy.

This restaurant is has a low key vibe. The food is delicious and made with care. The service really depends on the server. Some are Aces and some are not. My favorite appetizer is the bruschetta blu

This was my first time at this restaurant and I have to say, I was extremely impressed!! The veal Parmesan was one of the best I've ever had, the service was impeccable and especially with a table of children! The vibe of the restaurant is really nice! It's a little hidden gem of Chico! I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was amazing. The service was just as amazing! And now has become one of my favorite spots to go! Will definitely be returning!! I wish I could give it more stars!!

This has been a family staple for generations and they've still got it! Multiple mocktail options available! I had the strawberry mint one and it was spectacular! Antipasti came out as usual, salami, cheese, olives and carrots for all. We ordered garlic bread, bruschetta caprese and gluten free calamari which was amazing! The Caprese was the winner for those who had bread. We ordered gluten free veal piccata, veal Marsala and two scallop entrees. The green salad with half and half balsamic and bleu dressing is still as good as it was years ago! Thanks for keeping this wonderful quality establishment going for so long! The new location looks great on you! Very well deserved.

Absolutely loved our server Rebecca. She was so full of personality and she has wonderful knowledge of the menu. When the dish I wanted was sold out, she recommended the chicken piccata which was amazing. She also recommended that I try the espresso martini. They were Devine. I had 2. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Not bad not bad. Favorite was by far the veal picatta. Savory, salty, tart, and tender. Absolutely delicious. The complimentary bread, oil and balsamic, and the little olive, meat, and cheese plate was fine, but in my opinion, they should just offer one and make them both excellent. Both were fine but nothing to write home about. The chicken soup was the best I ever had and I still think about it. The clam chowder was good but paled in comparison. Service was great. Quick and friendly. No complaints. Ambience was nice, a bit upscale. This place is really popular with elderly folks we noticed. Overall verdict is I'm glad I tried it because i had been wanting to for a long time but it also wasn't good enough for me to want to spend $93 plus tip for 2 people.

Went here during a very busy time of the year so we expected it to be packed. We waited about an hour for food so we were happy we got there early. Our server explained that a big party had come in and slowed some things down. All of the staff were very kind and attentive. The food was very good and I really enjoyed the complimentary veggie, cheese, and salami platter.

They have absolutely NAILED their Pana Cotta. Normally, I wouldn't be a huge fan of pana cottas as it has come across to gelatin-y in the past, but I get it every time. The service is amazing. It is clear they are aiming to offer an elevated experience. That being said, it is on the longer side of a meal, and I find it much more enjoyable when I accept the leisurely pace and order an appetizer. When I do order an appetizer, the meal seems perfectly paced. Without it, it could seem a bit slow. I've loved the zucchini blossoms, calamari, and Caesar salad. (I do really like the burrata ones as well, but it's just so easy to make on your own from Trader Joes at a much lower premium.) I also love that they offer complementary focaccia, which used to be made in house. I don't believe it is now, but it is still very good. My fave dishes to get are anything with their droolworthy polenta like their chicken or veal saltimbocca (I prefer the chicken) for dinner or their chicken marsala for lunch. The chicken marsala probably is my absolute favorite, which means I HAVE to come here for their lunch sometimes, which are only Thursday and Friday. Really lovely atmosphere. I have and love to sit on their porch but no longer do because of the traffic noise. Chico designed Bruce with the traffic light right there and it's so bad - basically a raceway for meatheads in their loud trucks and motorcycles when the light turns green. Mosquitos absolutely become a problem so while I love that they sometimes put up the garage style doors/windows when the weather is nice to create a lovely indoor/outdoor experience, if you're a mosquito magnet like me, that is not the time for you to come in without mosquito protection. (One time was so bad that even though they closed it, I left with - I kid you not, I counted - no less that 18 mosquito bites on my calf.

We were promptly seated, and given a great spot near the wall-sized indoor fountain which was nice. We started with cocktails and appetizers, and they all came out quickly. We started with bread, which was excellent. We moved on to the grilled artichokes, which were also pretty special. The jalapeno aioli added to the smokiness of the grilled artichokes. We loved them. The bib salad was also a treat - nice chop, and the lardons were perfectly cooked little flavor bombs that stood up nicely to the blue cheese. We had the lobseter ravioli, and the single-layer crispy lasagne for our meals. The lobster ravioli was delicious, and the freshly made sundried tomatoes added a little extra structure to balance the plate. The single layer lasagne was really interesting. Wasn't sure what to expect, and the server said it was a little controversial, so I tried it. It came out as a large sheet - fresh spinach pasta sheets, layered with a delicious bolognese sauce, and topped with pesto and bechamel. Unconventional? Yes. Delicious? YES! I'm so glad I was feeling experimental - it was an innovative dish. Overall, we loved it. Service was very solid - attentive, without being intrusive. Perfect evening! Previous review: Dropped in here just to check it out. We came early on Thursday, and it was jumping! Got a seat at the Kitchen bar to have a few apps, and a cocktail, and had a fantastic snack and talked with some great folks in the kitchen. Pizza is fantastic wood -oven style, and the service was great. Wish I had photos - but I'll save those for the next time i visit and do a more thorough tour of the menu.

Not bad enough to complain but really weren't up to standard based on price and description. We ordered the Special which was a pile of angel hair pasta mixed with pesto in the middle (very dry), and around that it was supposed to have chicken, asparagus, roasted garlic and heirloom tomatoes. I can't remember what else. I only found two small bites of chicken. Not worth $34. The other dish was the Chicken Picatta and the sauce was very thick, not the lighter thin sauce with capers we've become used to and green bell peppers were one of the veggies they added to the pasta. Those are so over powering to the other flavors of artichoke hearts and mushrooms. The balance of ingredients was just off for how much money they now charge. (prices have recently increased and dishes are mostly in the $28+ unless your getting the basics ie spaghetti) Don't plan to return for anything but the Caesar salad dressing!

The carpet in particular is somewhat outdated and very dreary. We were seated right away with an evening reservation. Our server was the most delightful, helpful as well as professional person. She definitely made for an enjoyable experience. The menu is nicely broad with some very good and interesting selections. For an appetizer I selected the Alsatian Tarte Flambe. With the description of a "tarte" plus "puffed pastry" I was somewhat surprised when what looked like a flatbread arrived. Although somewhat true to the description I expected something like a cup shaped pastry. It was delicious enough so no complaints over the ingredients and flavor. If anything it tasted a bit top heavy with vinegar, yet still enjoyable. I washed it down with a Schramsberg Prosecco which was a perfect accompaniment. For an entree I choose the Grilled 6oz Petit Tender (medium rare) with asparagus and scalloped potatoes topped by a red wine and berry sauce. It was excellent, flavorful with the meat very tender. I was very pleased. It was an abundant portion so I was quite full after consuming it. My dining companion had the grilled meatloaf with ground filet mignon and pork sausage. It is baked and then grilled. I tried some and it is EPIC. It has to be one of the best meatloaf preparation I ever tasted. Bravo on this dish! We shared a bottle of Tempranillo to accompany it which was perfect. For dessert we shared a nice and refreshing mint chocolate chip ice cream which was generously comped as we were there for a special occasion. Thank you! I would definitely return and try other dishes, although the meatloaf is a must standout. Overall a very good experience.
