He got me through some REALLY tough times over the past ten years, and honestly I'm not sure how I would have gotten through the pandemic without him. So knowing his time with me was coming to a close, I left it in his hands to tell me when it was time to go. And, unfortunately, that was the day he woke up and his eyes said simply, "Enough." The staff was attentive and kind from the jump. An examination revealed the options, but it was obvious that whatever was happening was quite serious - and I was given a breakdown of potential next steps. Of course with Sid's age, putting him down was also an option, and I already knew this is what we were going with. I did not receive any pressure to run any preliminary tests, procedures, or additional costs. I was simply told what the options were, and provided with an honest opinion of what the outcomes could be. And all options sucked. BUT it was obvious that the people helping me genuinely cared, and it made the heartbreak just a tiny bit easier. I had never had to do this before and I came in with Sid alone, so the vet guided me through what we were doing, what was next, and gave me ample time in between to say goodbye. Again, no real way to make these things less painful, but there was something in the attention and care I was receiving that made me feel like I wasn't going through it alone. The staff was going through it with me. I also received a beautiful card in the mail from them afterwards, hand-signed with a personal message from each - and this small gesture brought such warmth to my heart that I felt I had to share it. Highly recommend this place.

I spent 3+ hours there but it didn't feel like it. I was able to be by his side the entire time, there was hydration and snacks, and I was comfortable. I feel like every nurse checked in with us at least once. Even my cat felt chill enough after a while to curl up and nap in his large cage (they were quite busy and all rooms were taken). As off Feb '25 it was $200 for just the most basic care, for what it's worth, and in our situation it was very much worth it. They sent everything to my usual vet, including recommended follow up testing. Flippin' awesome and so helpful for moving forward after a terrible Sunday!

Yesterday, we as a family, had to make a hard and humane decision for our sweet 16 plus year old Dachshund who had been ailing for several months ... Our boy now had fluid both around his heart AND lungs ... He also went down to less than 5 lbs ... We saw a young female doctor who was utterly kind, compassionate and empathetic. She was so gentle with our boy and patient with us. I was bawling and my kids were very upset and teary eyed. We were only offered two options and agreed on the worst one that was best for our sweetheart... The process started and I held my boy while my kids pet his tiny head. Jack passed peacefully and didn't flinch with the needle, as with all other vaccinations in his long life ... We opted for cremation ... we got his paw print in a sweet small plaque and locks of his fur in teeny corked bottles :( I am unwell and will never be the same, but this doctor (I was out of it and forget her name) and assisting staff were exceptional. I was a total mess when we arrived but the staff was waiting as promised and took my cat to the back to begin working on him immediately. The Doctor came out to explain what was happening and took us to the back. They did everything they could for my little guy but he unfortunately didn't make it :( This was my first time losing a pet and I was of course totally in my emotions but they were so patient and caring. They allowed us to have time alone to say farewell and also walked us through our options which they call "wishes" for the pets. They offered a free paw print keepsake which we really appreciated before we headed back home .... one of the toughest days of our lives but Mount Laurel Animal Hospital staff made it as bearable as anyone possibly could and took great care of our little guy from start to finish.

I was able to see him while they checked him out and began treatment. Who knew I would spend two nights! Consistently, throughout the entire visit, Bruno was given attentive care and the communication was consistent. I worked with two other doctors, Dr. Lemings and Dr. Conley, all of whom were excellent. I chose VEG because they have the option to stay over with your pet, which I did. Honestly, they cared for me just as well as they cared for Bruno. I worked with amazing staff -- Natali, Richardson, Melissa, Trinity, Lizzie, and Megan. They truly cared for Bruno and never once treated me like an intrusion. The open concept of the facility is particularly reassuring because I will able to help calm Bruno during some of his tests. I am happy to say after coming home and following their recommendations, Bruno is much improved! Thank you so much to all of the staff. Having the pet owner directly in the pet's care not only decreases the pet's anxiety, but the owners too! VEG Princeton NJ will be my first stop if I ever need a vet ER again.

I brought my orange domestic shorthair in for severe constipation after I couldn't get an appointment with my regular vet. They assisted us immediately, performing x-rays, starting fluids, and providing medication and an enema. By the time we left, she was already doing much better. The facility itself is very bright and comforting, which helped ease the stress of an emergency visit. They even have snacks and beverages for pet parents! It is a very active ER--it was intense seeing other pets coming in and witnessing some difficult moments for other families--but the team was incredible at multitasking and treating everyone with compassion. It is more expensive than a standard vet visit, but for the immediate service and high quality of care we received, it was absolutely worth it. I'm so grateful for this place and its convenient service when we needed it most.

My cat, Jasper, was very ill and hospitalized there for 4 days. The emergency room veterinarians and technicians were amazing. One ER doctor called me multiple times over the course of 2 days just to keep me updated on my baby. How amazing! Then Jasper was transferred from emergency medicine to the internal medicine team. This is when we met Dr. DiBenedetto- our hero. I cannot say enough amazing things about this man. He showed true compassion towards me and Jasper, he worked extremely hard to determine what was causing Jaspers illness, spent a great deal of time providing me with all the details of his illness, treated him appropriately, and SAVED HIM! Nine days after discharge, Jasper started to feel unwell again. Luckily we already had a follow up visit scheduled, so off we went to Redbank again. Dr. DiBenedetto promptly determined the diagnosis, explained to me in detail what we could do to help him, and provided me with honest and empathetic options. We decided to treat Jasper at home, as funds were tight after a 4 day hospital stay. Now two weeks after that last visit, Jasper is THRIVING!! He saved him for 2nd time!! Jasper turned 9 on June 6th and I owe it all to Redbank's amazing staff- especially Dr. DiBenedetto, his tech Liz, and the rest of the internal medicine team. The empathy, compassion, thoroughness, respectfulness, and intelligence that Dr. DiBenedetto possesses is truly exceptional. Thank you!!!! PS- I also love that they have a coffee station, water, tea, and a vending machine. The establishment is always very clean and the front desk staff are polite. All the techs have always treated me and my pets with respect and compassion.

Prior to surgery, the doctors at VRC indicated that successful surgery would get us 1-3 more years with our pet. During surgery, they were able to remove most but not all of the metastatic growth so it was recommended that we move forward with chemo and radiation which would extend his life by 3-6 months instead of the 1-3 years initially stated. Well, our dog died exactly a week after surgery, 1.5 hours after my mother passed. The exact situation that we were trying to avoid unfolded as our worst nightmare. Unbeknownst to us, VRC operated even though our dog was anemic, and as a result, he spent the last week of his life in pain and internally bleeding. The morning of his passing, he was vomiting up blood clots and there were clots coming out of his nose. He was in shock and urinated all over my husband as he carried him to the car to rush him to our closest Vet ER (not VRC). At the ER, we were told it was too late so we made the impossible but humane decision to hold our dog until his last breath. After arriving home, we couldn't even mourn the two deaths we just experienced because we had to clean up the blood from our carpets, curtains, floors, walls, etc. before our young children got home from school so we didn't traumatize them. We paid VRC over $10k and all they did was kill our pet in the most traumatic way. On top of that, they haven't once reached out to check on our pet (he was supposed to have his sutures removed two weeks after surgery but obviously we didn't get to do that, but no one called to find out why) or express their condolences for our loss. I would and could not ever recommend this vet practice to anyone. So disappointing and heartbreaking.
