These are shop display cases, NOT for animals.

This place makes me sick. Animal abuse!!!! It needs to be shut down. The animals are stuck in enclosures in the wall with no air, only one side glass so they can see out. They never get outside time!!!! The bottom is covered in paper shreds and they're barely given any water. The enclosures are TINY, I saw a black lab puppy in a way too small enclosure. The lighting in these tiny enclosures are those terrible bright white lights that I know hurt the animals eyes and give them headaches. I had a headache just walking through the store. They have no toys, I know these dogs are bored out of their minds and THEY WILL have behavioral problems later in life because of their abused time at this place!!!!! This isn't right at all and this place seriously needs to lose all business so these animals can get saved. I watched as workers pushed these animals into the enclosures, they don't give them fresh water, they're rude. Do not support this place, it needs to close down. A shame.

0 stars all day long hate giving them one, after I saw about three two month old puppies in a cage together I tried to make excuses in my mind because they are very small. After walking down a few cages they had this dog who was clearly past the puppy stage, in a cage that I doubt he can even stand in. This is animal abuse keeping dogs in unhealthy small cages for all day long. These are crazy people who hate animals, they discount their dogs they can't sell to "$500" acting like that is a deal. You will be buying an animal with health issues here. Do not spend your money here and I encourage you to walk in and express how this makes you feel to staff and potential customers. Disgusting establishment.

I give the place 4 stars I bought my doodle. Yhe workers were friendly the cat and dog iteams were so much money just for a toy, the dogs looked happy they were happy to see humans, it took way ling to purchase the dog took about 2 hrs the dogs are in great condition , 1 promb they said my dog was post to be mini and he look far from a mini and only 8 months I have a friend with a sidle he was post to be a mini and he is as tall has a stand the prices for the animals are too high. Its a nice place though

Seeing a lot of bad reviews, and as someone who is a big animal rescuer, and lover I'll tell you that this place is legit. The price we paid for a pure bred Boston terrier is less than the usual asking rate, the puppies were extremely healthy, and not to mention very well nourished. The store has vet records on hand with the names and addresses of the vet, the name of the local breeder that had them (also with address and information) , and enough backups and money back guarantees that show they are the real deal. We look forward to taking our puppy home and will continue to tell you that as someone with 11 pets, and half of them are rescues, that this is no ordinary "puppy store" they love these animals.

This place is sad and grossly over priced. No way should a boxer puppy ever cost $2400. Besides the price, it literally made me sad to see how unhealthy the dogs looked. This dog looks malnourished and obviously has zero room to exercise and gain muscle.

I have a video of this puppy overheating. There were at least 3 more puppies having similar issues.

I should have listened to the reviews and looked for another store…read more I have been looking for a parrot to bring into the family for a while. I've done plenty of research online, but this was my first time going to look at birds in person. Seeing this was a family run business, I decided to bring my business here rather than a big box store. Big mistake. Almost everyone working seemed to be stuck up teenagers and young adults. My family was in the store for about 30 min and not a single employee offered any assistance. Not even a simple hello. The bird section was absolute chaos. There's TONS of birds jammed into a small corner of the store which seems to be, by far, their most popular animal. The aisles are cramped and it's hard to hear anything with all the birds chirping away. There were 2 employees feeding/ tending to birds. They were pretty much ignoring everyone. I tried to ask a few questions about different species, yet I felt like an annoyance to them.. then I simply got told, if you're new to birds, just get a cockatiel. The guy wouldn't really give any information on any of the other species. I'm trying to make sure I have everything I need in my home before buying a bird, but it seems like they'd rather you just pay $$ now and quit bothering them. There's a bunch of signs up saying NO PICTURES everywhere. It felt like a prison with the wide variety of threatening signs all over the place. I did notice the cages seemed very over priced. An A&E cage I saw on Chewy for $300 was marked up to like $700 in there. The cockatiels were a couple hundred dollars more than Pet Smart. I wanted to avoid going to somewhere like Pet Smart or Petco to get a pet bird, but after this experience, I'll just take my business there. At least they have employees that seem like they care about helping customers. It's a shame to see a local business that can't provide better service than corporate big box stores. If it wasn't for your exorbitant prices, I suspect you'd be out of business by now.

My husband told me about some smaller bunnies he'd seen in there a few weeks ago. As I own a few New Zealand Bucks. Personally my trip in today was for a live feeder rat for my 6 year old ball python. Needless to say I saw two little bunnies behind a little girl who was sitting on a bench who actually wasnt even aware they were behind her because I asked were they hers and she said no. So then I asked the young lady at the counter could the bunnies be held or pet and she said yes. Soon as I go to pick up a bunny another lady who 1. Fails to even identify whom she is states Oh no you cant hold it, but you can pet it. So let me get this straight as a potential customer I cant hold an animal I'm potentially interested in?? So how many people go to buy a car and just purchase it right off the lot, no test drive? I'll wait... My point is every time I come into Pet Paradise I'm being told oh you can pet the bunnies or the ferrets but you cant hold them. Mind you I've seen "others," allowed to do just that. I've owned every animal mentioned previously in my 40+ years but it appears only certain people have the privilege here to actually interact with potential furbabies. Whelp they say word of mouth is the best form of marketing so figured I'd put the word out because it's a reoccurring theme I'm quite tired of and figured I'd let folks know about the fickle behavior of oh peep this the supposed manager who "Can Do what she wants," as I was told by the young lady behind the counter. Now last I checked a manager wasnt the owner but hey what do I know? I just need to find a better pet store with similar or BETTER options closer to me in Suffolk. Nobody buys cars without test driving, nobody adopts a dog without interacting, so why am I limited to petting a rabbit only and not holding it, but told oh you can hold it if your intentions is to buy one by the young lady behind the counter.. whew I could say so much but trust me I dont think I have to.

Sometimes convenience wins, right? We popped in to grab Lexi's usual -- Hill's Science Diet for Sensitive Stomachs (bougie bellies only ‍) -- and let me tell you, they had a huge selection of dog food options. The store was pretty busy but well-stocked, which is always a good sign. I wish I had taken some photos (next time, I promise!), but I did take a quick stroll down the aisles to see if they had any dog clothes... and sadly, no outfits in sight. You know Lexi doesn't go anywhere without a fit check, so we always scope out the fashion section. On the bright side, they had: Tons of treats A great variety of toys Leashes, collars, and accessories ...but no sparkle, no glam, no bougie wear The price for our dog food was a bit higher than what we usually pay at other spots, but for the convenience of being so close to home, it worked out just fine this time. So would we go back? Maybe for quick pickups. But for fashion? We'll have to keep looking.

I have been here several times now, and my most recent visit was on September 10, 2025. Since the business is in a shopping center, parking isn't too hard to find. There are a few spaces reserved just for customers, most likely since it can get busy with a movie theater and other businesses around. The outside of the place is easy to see with the big green lettering. The first time I came in was due to getting a coupon in the mail. I figured with the coupon it would be worth checking out. The inside is pretty big. They have full grooming and self-grooming for pets at the back of the store. My dog likes the FreshPet type of food, so that was a good thing to use the coupon on. After my first visit, I also joined their rewards program. I have been getting coupons since, so it definitely keeps me coming back in. Whenever you come in, there is so much to choose from. The is also a display with items that are further discounted, primarily since the best by date comes up soon for food type items. My mom was with me on the most recent visit. On this visit, we had a coupon for 40% off an entire purchase, including those already discounted or on sale. This worked out great. We got several rolls of the dog food since they are good for a few months. Pet toys and treats were the primary items we looked at after getting the food. We ended up getting a few more than planned at the discounted display. We ended up saving almost $80 in discounts that day. Overall, the staff have been great here when we have come in. The one thing to note is that if you have items that are discounted, they associate has to get a manager to do it. It can take some time for them to come up after summoning them. Regular prices can be a bit higher than you can find at other stores, but the coupons help match those amounts again too. If you are looking for pet items, this place is still worth checking out.

It is strategically located on the corner of Virginia Beach Boulevard and N Plaza Trail Road. Just to the east, across Plaza Trail, is the Sam's Club Warehouse. Parking is plentiful. Employees are friendly. It is evident that they are dog lovers, which warms a doggie Mother's heart. Not only does PetSmart (Rosemont) have grooming and veterinary sections, they also offer adoptions, obedience training, doggie day care and a pet hotel. I have to admit to have caused 'slight' disruptions in obedience classes. There's something about my nearby presence that tells dogs that I'm a friendly face. Dogs can sense true dog people. My golden girl has eaten the PetSmart brand Simply Nourish her entire life. She loves it, as do her visiting doggie friends. My previous next door neighbor's dog would come to my deck door, wanting Lillie to come out and play. But before playtime he would always eat her bowl of Simply Nourish. Prior to the recent "Grain Free" dog food health warnings, she always ate Grain Free Chicken, Peas & Potatoes. After checking with my Vet, who confirmed the possible health risk of Grain Free food (especially for Golden's), I switched to Chicken & Brown Rice. My baby and her canine friends like it equally well. Simply Nourish is a high quality dog food. Since my Golden Girl is large, she and her dinner guests require the largest size bags of food. The store employees will always volunteer to take my purchase to the vehicle. But there remains the task of dragging the bag into the house. I have to admit to sometimes ordering two large bags at a time from PetSmart.com. When you walk past the dog food aisles you can easily find your preferred brand by the brand signs that face the center aisle. This eliminates you having to walk down each aisle. Much appreciated PetSmart.... The selection of incidentals such as collars, treats, leashes and such is excellent. Since my dog is an aggressive chewer, a large selection is appreciated. It requires a thorough examination of the offerings, else she will swallow a chew almost whole or rip up a toy in less that a minute. It really isn't a good thing when she does this and swallows the squeaker whole. Dog beds, crates, and just about anything are in large supply. I'll have to admit to a lack of knowledge regarding the product offerings for other types of pets. But I would assume they are as equally plentiful as for canines. Most people bring their pets into the store to shop, which adds to the ambience. A Rewards program is offered. Bring your card in for scanning each time you purchase. Thank you PetSmart (Rosemont). You have my loyalty.
