Affordable but not always kind and my cat lost his life due to them being all over the place. The vet guy told me my cat was bleeding due to stress from the changes, gave him meds and it helped for awhile. Questioned the vet again and the nurse said that what the vet said dont make sense that it sounds like something different. Then in another acct my new kitten the vet told me i can get flea meds, i told the guy at the desk. He snapped at me saying it would kill my kitten.. he charged me full price and removed some if the flea meds out of the box cuz he didn't approve of me taking the flea meds home when he was that young but the VET said i could and the guy at the desk took them out box n gave me 1 pack n took the others out of that box n charged me .. he refused me service that the vet told me i could have. The vet and technicians are all very helpful and knowledgeable. They gave me alternatives and different things to do to help my Dads cat be less anxious and upset. The vet also gave him an antibiotic shot and sent me home with a little siphon and tube to collect his urine. They suggested food and distilled water for his kidneys. Best inexpensive veterinary care you can get anywhere. I have been using this facility for over 30 years. It's been a great experience. The Vet Scott Morris truly cares and loves animals. They've gotten a new vet that I haven't met yet but I'm sure the new vet will have similar qualities because that's, how they are here. This is a low-cost stay neuter vaccine facility. They can do some small problems things like Blood Work but they do not have x-rays or anything like that. They cannot do emergency, broken leg, etc. type things. Scott also does dental cleanings. You have to bring your animal on a Friday to have their teeth checked before you can schedule a dental cleaning but they do an amazing job and for a very reasonable price. After calling closer vets and being quoted either extremely high prices or a one month wait to have 3 cats vaccinated, I looked into this place that a friend had mentioned. I called them and my call went to voicemail, with no option to speak with a staff member. Not the end of the world as that happened with 2 calls to other local vets. Their voicemail message did make clear their hours of operation, and that they took vaccination appointments only as walk ins. I arrived just after 5pm on a Thursday, and approximately 20 minutes later I took my cats in to the exam room. Dr. Morse was kind and helpful, and he answered every question I had. I never felt rushed. The entire appointment cost 40% of what the local vets had quoted me. Basically, I saved $130, waited about 10 minutes longer than I had in the past for vets, drove an extra 5-10 minutes each way to get there, and my cats received the exact same level of care that they have received at other vets. We have taken all dogs and cats there. They handle shots and medication but not a full service. They have sent us to a full service vet for a hip issue and stomach issue not resolved with meds. They are caring and friendly there. The green location is for shots and med refill. State Rd location can run some test. cost is very reasonable! read more

After just dealing with a rude lady on the phone is enough for me to stay away... Long story short, I have two very sweet silky terriers who all of a sudden decided they hated each other. At the time, I lived in a very small apartment and did not have the space to keep them separated and comfortable with plenty of room at the same time. My mom had kept her and watched her until I moved into a bigger place. I asked her if she could make an appointment for my dog to get her vaccines updated or I could come get her and take her to her normal vet. She has other dogs, so she said she would just take her to her own vet that it would be easier. So later down the road after she returns home, I needed a copy of my dogs shot records to take her in for an emergency checkup at her normal vet. First off, good luck trying to get a hold of anyone in that office with any questions. After calling the many numbers they have listed on their website, I get a hold of someone. When I asked what happened to the papers from the initial visit, I gave her the short version that they were lost. She got snotty with me about them being lost. The only way you can get a copy is either drive there to get a copy (which I live in Cleveland) or as she put it, try and leave a message and MAYBE they will get back to you. She reminded me many times that they are low cost animal clinic and do not have fancy gadgets like fax machines and "even worse", no access to email them. So I was pretty much out of luck. After talking to my vet, she said she would try and call to see if she could just get the information over the phone. I don't know what happened, but she got them via fax. But just from the sounds of it I would never ever take my fur babies there. Yes I pay a little more but the idea of taking my pets to a low cost clinic sounds scary. I would never just pay $85 to have my dog spayed. I don't know what my mother was thinking of when she took my dog there, or any of her dogs. I will have to have a talk with her... read more

Online on their website it says a declaw for a cat that is over 10 pounds is $175. It states this includes food, pain meds and litter. There is a $2 surcharge for charity. So I'm assuming my bill is $177. They call me to tell me it is $207 and some change. I tried to call back but they never answer their phone. So I called the one in union twin and told them the error online. My husband went to pick up our car and they refused to honor the price and charged me even more than what they quoted me at the $207. I will not be returning here. And if you don't want to be lied to and ripped off I would suggest not going there either. read more

Trying to make an appointment as a new client is impossible. I went early to their parking lot sign up on January 14th (since they are not answering their phones) to make an appointment. After waiting an hour (I was only the seventh person in line) they came to my car to tell me they are no longer accepting appointments from new clients and the rest of the appointments they are reserving for current clients. I guess if you're already a client this is a great place but if you a looking for a new place, keep looking. They'll only waste your time. read more

We will never take a pet here again even though we used to for years. We took our kittens to be declawed. One came home with ear mites, which he shared with our other two cats. It took months of patience and a lot of money to get rid of them. The other kitten still has a claw in one paw that we discovered when he scratched our daughter while playing. read more

This is a wonderful place to take your pets. The people are so kind for offering their services. I take both my dog and cat and never had a bad experience. Appointments aren't taken for shots, illness, etc. so sometimes you need to wait. But I wouldn't say that's a bad thing because they are caring for other people's pets. read more

They did a wonderful job neutering my cat. They gave him his shots and a leukemia screen, and everyone I talked to was very nice and helpful. Being a college student, finding low cost neutering is very important. I got him neutered and his shots for only $72 when other places quoted me more than double that for just the neutering. Hi- would have given 5 stars, but they're not perfect - they are a NONPROFIT organization - hello - waiting is expected, and they can't handle every situation - sounds like some of you don't get that and should visit a full- service doggy clinic where they charge you just to sneeze. I've been to both. Pet Guard does the basics - shots, checkups, neutering and spaying , etc CHEAP - you obviously don't understand the setup. I recommend spending the extra money to go to a professional vet. Trust me, this place is not worth the money you will save. I walked in and was told to "take a number." So I took my number and sat there for 20 minutes while four ladies stood behind the counter just chatting...never called my number. Then I see a couple walk in the door with their dog, go straight up to the counter, and got checked in right away...never told to 'take a number' or anything. So I walked up to the counter again, and said that I needed to be checked in. Their response? "Take a number." I sat in the waiting room and listened to multiple customers complaining about their wait time and the lack of organization here. One lady finally stopped a staff member and explained that she had been waiting for an hour and a half while other customers who came in AFTER her were being seen first. The employee told her that dogs who are only there for shots are given priority (which is all my dog was there for, so this explanation doesn't make sense). Not to mention, this shouldn't be the case anyway. A professional organization would see their walk-in customers in the order that they arrive (and check them in in the order they arrive for that matter...) Anyway, the employee comes back and tells this lady "there are only 2 people ahead of you." Then we all sat there as 4 more names were called before this lady was taken back.... Another experience as I'm sitting in the waiting room: a dog had a little accident on the rug. Ok no big deal, it happens. So the owner walks up to the counter to let the staff know, and they did NOTHING about it! Didn't even bother to come clean it up or sanitize...nothing! That is absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. I'm glad I got up and left before they gave my dog any shots because who knows how dirty those needles would have been. I advise finding somewhere else to take your pets. read more

The vet was very rude to me. I'm there with my pet, am I not allowed to ask questions about their treatment or medicine. It was ridiculous, I was talked over. I was told "I can't spend a half hour with everyone. I've got a room full of animals waiting." I was the first one there. I paid a $30 Well Check Fee. My cat was seen maybe 10 minutes. I'm a little disappointed. I inquired about spaying my "large" dog today (7.8.16) and was told that the waiting list for larger dogs was 3-4 months. I was okay with that, but the woman (wont give her name) I spoke with gave me the impression that she wasn't. I had her put my name on the waiting list and asked her "what's next"? She told me they would call me. I will be waiting for that phone call in 3-4 months. I guess I'm a little upset because pet owners love their pets regardless of their size. I have taken many pets to Pet Guards for vaccinations and for various problems. I have found the doctors there to be very kind, and it is obvious how much they love animals! There is sometimes a wait and you cannot make an appointment, but the staff has been helpful in indicating times to come in when it is less busy. I am very thankful for Pet Guards! read more

I wouldn't recommend visiting Pet Guards Clinic in Cuyahoga Falls on Tuesdays. The doctor working that day I would not recommend. She never introduced herself, which is rude, and she was not nice to me as a customer or even her staff which is there to help her. Her tone of voice to me and her staff was unacceptable and not professional at all. I believe her name was Dr. Krompacky. She snapped at me and her assistant, and threw a fit about no towels available. She will talk down to you and treat you like a child if you decide to see her, so be prepared. I have many animals and have spent thousands of dollars over the years, and have worked as a medical professional for 28 years, and do not deserve to be talked to like that. If you go to Pet Guards in Cuyahoga Falls I would go on Thursdays or Fridays, because Dr. Morse is there that day and he is a true professional and will treat you with respect. read more
