So we picked up the girls after six days at Pet Paradise. We caslled several times during our trip and got detailed reports on how the girls were doing. We were told how they were eating and sleeping, how they got along in play group, a couple of funny stories... It was like our Cali and Tuzi were the only pups spending the week at Pet Paradise! We didn't think we would land in time to pick them up Tuesday night so we had arranged for Wednesday morning, but then we found out we might just make it by 5.30-6.00, so we called and asked if we could get the girls Tuesday night. (We missed them!) Then our flight landed 45 minutes early! So we called to see if there was any way they could get their go-home baths and be ready earlier. Pet Paradise didn't blink an eye---when we walked in the door at 5.00, the girls were washed and brushed and sweet-smelling. I won't say our pups didn't want to leave, but you could tell they had had a good time. It was more about being happy to see Mom and Dad then a "oh, gosh, get me out of this gulag" kind of thing. They looked great, acted happy, and everyone at Pet Paradise milling around the reception area had a warm word and pet of farewell for the girls. I still hate this corporate reservation thing, but now that I know how to get around it it, that quibble is over. I feel very comfortable and believe that our girls are in very good hands at Pet Paradise! read more

I had tried a couple of other places for day care for my Golden Retriever puppy prior to Pet Paradise and had fairly horrid experiences. It was with great trepidation I took her there even after liking my initial impressions. I had nothing to fear. She loves it and I love the way they treat her. She has been going there since she was 5 months old and just had her first birthday. She is always excited to go and loves being there. She goes for daycare once a week and she has also stayed there for 5 days while we were on vacation. I would highly recommend Pet Paradise to anyone. read more

This place and the people that work here are great. They really seem to love all the pups and kitties and are always friendly and accommodating. I have an active pup who loves to go play with his friends and comes home tired!!:) We also use their groomer Chris. He does a fantastic job. My two boxers, Lucy and Ollie, absolutely LOVE coming to pet paradise. They are well taken care of, fed and get plenty of playtime. When I pick them up, they don't want to leave. Also, the team is good about working with my paydays and allowing me to pay in advance for my visits. Also, because I have a second dog, they always give me a discount. If I had to say one thing that could be better is their systems. I've sometimes paid for visits in advance and when I come to pick up my dogs I "don't have any punches" on my account so they have to have a manager review my account. One time I had to show them my bank statement to show that I had paid. Other than that, great place for doggie day care and boarding! read more

**Update** Because of a recent family emergency, I needed to fly home ASAP. I immediately called Pet Paradise hoping and praying they had space available and would be able to accommodate Noah and Finn on such short notice. They did, THANK GOD. Noah & Finn had boarded at PP before so all their records were already on file. The last thing I needed was to have a nervous breakdown while frantically searching for certificates, feeding instructions, special diet info, etc. They didn't even hesitate when I told them I didn't know how long I'd be gone or when I'd be back to pick up the boys. Needless to say, the girls at PP took excellent care of my Noah and Finn. While I had had separation anxiety the entire time I was away, after the initial first three days Noah and Finn were absolutely fine. I couldn't be happier or ask for anything more than to know that my kitties didn't miss me because the girls at PP took such good care of them. read more

I have now used Pet Paradise several times and could not be happier with the people and the good care they take of my dog. They even called us on our trip to tell us each time our dog was out in the play area so we could watch him play. They are the best. I would recommend them to everyone and anyone. We recently got a puppy and needed some relief for his energy, as other dog at home is cranky old man (chihuahua that doesn't like anybody). I looked around trying to find a place that wouldn't break the wallet yet would provide the help needed. Our dog absolutely loves coming to Pet Paradise for day camp several times a week when I work. He recognizes when we pull into parking lot and starts scampering to get inside as quick as possible! I can't say enough good about Pet Paradise and Kade is so happy to come and make friends and I am so happy to have a tired out guy at end of day. read more

***One more thing. I saw that another reviewer said her dogs were thirsty after coming home. Tripp is the same way. It appears he likes to knock over the water dish they have set up for him. He does it all the time. He also goes "potty" immediately upon checking out of Pet Paradise because he has been trained not to go to the bathroom indoors. I'm sure he does #1 throughout the day, but #2 he saves for afterward. As far as the smell, Tripp rarely smells upon leaving Pet Paradise, but it's got to be expected when you have your dog in a room with a dozen other dogs. My puppy has been here two times for doggy camp and really enjoys her time here. I am happy with the facility however they don' t have webcams so I can check in on my dog throughout the day which would be very helpful as they offer this at other locations in the US (they are a corporation with many facilities). Another disappointment was no dog bone shaped pool as depicted on their website---this is also available in other States but not in Arizona. The staff are friendly and helpful. read more

We highly recommend Pet Paradise. Our dogs love going whether it is for boarding or daycare and come home tired from play and interaction with the other dogs. Pet Paradise is very clean and well maintained. They are given plenty of playtime and lots of attention. The sleeping conditions are comfortable and we like that our two pups get to stay in the same kennel together. We always look forward to the Pawgress Report they provide when we pick them up letting us know what they were up to during their stay. What a great idea! The staff are friendly and helpful and we trust that our fur kids are well taken care of during their stay. I had to board my two dogs over the 4th of July holiday for 3 nights due to a move. They had never been away from home before. I was informed about the vaccines needed before hand and both dogs were current on all when I dropped them off. Because we were/are in the time of Covid-19, I wasn't able to tour the facility or even see where my dogs would be kept. I was told I could possibly catch them on camera during their play time but was never told that there was 3 different play areas with cameras. After looking and not seeing my dogs for 2 days I called to check on them. I was told they had been timid but doing fine. I informed them that I would be picking them up the next day which was two days early. Upon my arrival, my dogs were brought out to me, they happily jumped in the car and we were on our way. So now, a week later, both dogs have Kennel Cough. It is heartbreaking to have both my healthy dogs gasping for air as they are coughing and gagging. I emailed Per Paradise to let them know. They did respond by thanking me for the information and said they would be doing a deep cleaning. Well, too little too late for my dogs. I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt but can not. They were so insistent on the vaccines I wasn't worried about them contracting anything. How wrong that thought process was. So, thanks for taking hundreds of dollars from me and returning my dogs to me with this condition. You easily could have earned more stars if your response was more professional or even comforting. I would not recommend this facility to anyone and can only say, don't do it! Keep looking elsewhere. read more

5 STAR Response after Kennel Cough scare! My poor Beagle "Copper" contracted Kennel Cough from being boarded at this location on New Years 2018. After my initial bad review warning the location of the situation asking for contact from management, I was immediately contacted by the Manger Christine. I was notified this location was shut down immediately and everything was sanitized top to bottom to prevent any further pets from being exposed. Additionally, my Veterinarian visit was scheduled for the following day at Norterra Animal Hospital for "Copper" and his treatment is being paid for by Pet Paradise. I highly commend Pet Paradise for their response and actions to this unfortunate event. Top quality management, customer service, and extremely ethical behavior shined after this occurred. Our dog (Bella) and cat (Kaola) enjoyed a 2 week stay at Pet Paradise and it was perfect. Plenty of playtime and attention and a few treats thrown in and they came home just as happy as they went in. Our puppy had training with Lynn who did a wonderful job teaching her some good manners and commands. Bella, seemed to come home with a bit more maturity which has been nice. We just picked our 3 dogs up from their first day at this resort. We are impressed that it is all day daycare. And, the day started out nicely, with friendly staff and a clean facility. BUT, it was different at the end of the day. The small dog area was covered in urine and feces. The attendant seemed sullen, tired, and disengaged from the pets. There was only one attendant to man the front desk with five families waiting to collect their pets or ask questions. Our two small dogs were wet and horribly smelly. The large dog seemed to fair better. But, when we got home, they all three went to the hose in the back yard for a bath!!! Now, we have to take the car to get detailed. We inquired about bathing them at Pet Paradise. The attendant said, "Well, SOME people choose to have their dogs bathed here." She didn't offer to bathe them or offer a price to have them bathed. And, given the situation, we opted to do it ourselves at home. My only other concern is that when our pets came home, they all gathered at the water dish for a while taking turns drinking. Where was the water? We didn't notice at the time we were there. If you go, make sure there is fresh water. read more

We had our puppy stay at the Pet Paradise Resort in Happy Valley for 12 nights. After a few nights being away, we sent them an email and asked how he was doing. They responded quickly and included a photo of our puppy. It made us feel much better. All of the staff was very nice and they take care of dogs very well. The groomer there never listened to what I wanted done - I picked up my dog after his apt and his face looked untouched compared to the rest of his shaved body. I asked if the groomer could touch it up and he flat out told me NO, next time. So I had to pay for an already overpriced cut and still go home and trim my dog myself. The next time when I arrived for my SCHEDULED apt the ladies at the desk told me I wasn't on the schedule and it was "past the time he'd be grooming anyway". Waste of my time to drive so out of my way. I've never been back and have since found an amazing groomer, cheaper & closer to home! read more

Our two dogs and one cat have enjoyed multiple extended stays at Pet Paradise, twice over holiday weekends. The pets come home healthy and happy every time. The facility looks very clean and smells fresh, which to me is an important indicator of the quality of a boarding facility. All the staff I've had occasion to interact with have been friendly, helpful and professional. Drop off and pick up has always been quick and efficient, too. As boarding facilities go, this is a particularly large one which has capacity for dozens of cats and dogs. I feel much more comfortable bringing our pets here versus some small business that does boarding out of a back-yard shack. Overall Pet Paradise is an amply staffed and well-run facility with a good vibe. read more

When the staff learned that we lost our male boxer, Duke, to heart disease a couple weeks ago they gave us a very nice sympathy card with personalized messages from the entire staff along with their favorite pictures of him when he had stayed with them - so thoughtful!!! I am new to the doggie day care thing, but I recently got a younger rescue dog who is full of energy and working full time I do not have time to wear him out as I should. Went to check it out. The staff was helpful and friendly and The facilities were clean. I was nervous the first time dropping him off, I felt like I was dropping my kid off at the first day of kindergarten! They were very understanding in my nervousness and sent me pictures of my little one playing to ease my mind. They have kept my dog happy and have given me piece of mind. read more

This is the first time I have reviewed any business online but I feel it's important this experience is shared with other animal lovers. I had a very poor experience here. When I went to pick my dog up in the morning they opened the doors 10 min late. If a company says they open at 7am then the doors should be open at 7am not 10 after. I had to ask for my extra dog food back as they only gave me one baggie and then advised she didn't eat well. They had to go in the back and get the stuff she didn't eat. Dog food isn't cheap - of course I want it back. They also did not return all my dogs belongings which I discovered when I got home. My dog was injured that morning. I understand these things happen but the explanation was poor at best. They said she got the pad of her paw stuck under the door. I don't know how that's possible unless someone opened the door into her as she was laying down. She was not able to put pressure on her paw for more than a few seconds at a time for the next day and hair was missing from the top of her paw as well. My dog headed for the door after we looked at her paw and usually I have to coax my dog out the door as she loves playing with other dogs. They also tried to overcharge me but I went over the quoted price and they recalculated to charge me the correct amount. I realize things happen but the injury along with everything else means I won't be back. read more
