I always love going to Petco. It's even more fun now that I have a dog to bring with me (and not…read morejust sent as a servant by my cat). This Petco always has the leading brands of food and treats for your dog, cat, bird, fish, reptile, rodent as well as a great selection of toys, accessories, and pet necessities. I have never not been able to find what I need at Petco. This specific store offers grooming services as well as puppy playdates and puppy training classes. I love that their New Pet discount book is free, as other stores charge almost $20 for their "savings". The book definitely saved me several hundred dollars in food, treats, crates, leashes and puppy clean-up supplies. I have been doing puppy playtime with Christine and Erick, as well as puppy classes with Erick. I don't think you'll find better trainers in Bangor. They provide great supervision, are a wealth of knowledge and make the learning experience fun. In class, Erick has been fantastic. He's easy to communicate with, flexible with rescheduling needs and will probably love your dog more than you do. His training ability and eagerness to always stay ahead of the game when it comes to dog training only amplifies your experience. My pup leaves mentally exhausted with a solid grasp on the new material we're covering. Training the rest of the week is a breeze because of Erick's commitment to teaching you how to train your dog properly. Classes will run you about $80-90 for 6-7 one hour lessons. You'll save money if you buy a package, which I HIGHLY recommend (especially if you're thinking of advance training your dog for therapy or service). The staff here goes above and beyond to make your shopping experience easy and fun. From demonstrations, photos with Santa and free food samples, there is always great activity going on at the store. They also have a wide selection of fish, reptiles and birds for sale as well as some smaller furry creatures and cats. I highly recommend the PALS reward card, which gives you $5 off every $100 you spend, as well as other discounts throughout the store. Just wish the prices weren't so high to begin with!

Disorganized, poorly managed, messy store. Their services feature retired veterinarians who put…read moreshots in dogs and offer all sorts of outdated advice and a support team who barely can manage what they do. The grooming is equally challenging and you better have all your records and say nothing other than "my dog is fine" or they'll refuse service. And yes, they have refused me service after I drive an hour to get there. Everything this place offers you can get elsewhere better, including your local veterinarian and ordering online from Chewy. Avoid.
