The after the fact I see they try changing my credit card an additional charge which I now am disputing. Don't hassle with these frauds. Ok asshole owner, I never said dispute full charge just the additional that hit today. Which I did not authorize. Secondly, my dog was not matted like you say. This is the worst dog grooming experience I've ever had. My dog looks nothing like the picture I gave. She is a terrier with the beard and they shaved it all off. I can just save $100 and use a razor to do the work at home myself. The nails weren't trimmed either. Not to mention that I found a cut on her thigh when we got home. I'm totally disappointed and pissed off after I picked up my dog. read more

I have owned my dog for almost 8 years. While she does not get groomed as often as she probably should the hack/hatchet job performed on her yesterday at this location is simply heart breaking. Its the absolute worst grooming and grooming experience I have ever had; and will absolutely go anywhere but here in the future. If you love your pet avoid avoid avoid... We are new to Pet Station and heard that it was the best place for grooming in Newcastle.... how wrong people were. We took our dog to see them and when we went to pick her up she had been cut to ribbons... when we mentioned this to the groomers there they initially denied it and tried to tell us that she was covered in cuts when we brought he in... When we mentioned that we had taken pictures of her injuries, then they admitted that it might have happened while she was with them... but that was not their fault either and attempted to chalk the cuts up to our dog's prominent breast bone and then ribs... when we mentioned that there were cuts all over her body they had no response. I think this would have been a much better situation if a. they weren't totally awful at their job and didn't cut our dog to pieces... and b. The groomers and management team at Pet Station had simply admitted that they had made a mistake... I mean we would have been mad but they at least would have appeared to be responsible adults as opposed to ridiculous inexperienced children wielding a pair of clippers. Our dog is totally traumatized and we are so so upset. Please avoid Pet Station they are not professional at all and will hurt your pet and then deny it. DO NOT leave your pets with these "people" you will regret it. read more

Hands down, Pet Station is the premiere groomer on the Eastside. Eddie, Winnie and the others are top-notch, putting beloved pets and customers first. From The moment we walk in, our dogs are so happy to be there, knowing the "doggie spa" experience they are about to have. The groomers really listen to preferences and we are always pleased with reliable results. Extra thumbs up for the text reminders for appointments! On site dog daycare and cute little doggie boutique make this a fun place to come to for our regularly scheduled appointments. Our Cockapoo and Maltese/Yorkie look amazing, every time. I am sorry to give a one star review, since I normally would not give any business such a low report. I would just skip the review altogether, and not go back. However in this case, after thinking about it for a few days, I decided its better to share my experience with others. First I want to say that I had some concerns when bringing my dogs here, since I read other reviews, and one in particular mentioned that their dog had an injury from the grooming. However I thought maybe the business would have learned from these reviews by now, or perhaps other reviewers exaggerated, etc. However this was not the case unfortunately. Well for the grooming itself, one dog was given a haircut, and the other was not - per our instructions. When we picked up the dogs, they both looked great, and I was very happy with the haircut. All seemed okay, our dogs were happy to see us, and we brought them home thinking all was great and that we would be back. However later I noticed a huge injury under the chin of our dog who had the haircut. The injury was clearly from the haircut/clippers being too close to the skin, and removing a large piece of skin (about one inch by one and a half inches). For a small dog, this is a big injury - taking up a large area under the chin. The injury must have bled quite a bit, but the bleeding had stopped by the time I noticed it - hair was caught up in the dried blood. It was a big and painful injury, and our dog tried to prevent me from looking at it since it was very painful. I also later noticed a nipple that had been cut. Due to previous reports and my experience, we definitely will not be back. It is very unfortunate, since this is a great location and they haircut itself was perfect, the dogs were well groomed apparently - but the injury is unacceptable - and what makes it even worse is the fact that they never told us about it - we had to find it by chance ourselves. Our dog must have screamed horribly when this happened to her, the groomer should definitely have told us about it. Again I am sorry to give one star, but this is totally not okay, and never happened at our previous groomers (petsmart in Bellevue and Petco in Factoria). We tried this groomer for the first time since they are closer to our home and the other groomers had been really booked up lately. We will stick with Petco and Petsmart at this point. A week later the chin injury still has not healed. Now it's a large black scab bigger than a quarter. read more

I saw this new Pet Station open and i was glad it did because there is not many pet shops by my neighborhood. My dogs hair was getting very long and messy and I decided to bring it to the new pet shop to get a hair cut. I went in and got a schedule in immediately. The service was very good. They asked me what kind of style to cut my dog and what other kind of service i needed. The owner was there and gave me a ton of advice on how to take care of my dog. I went back later that day to pick up my dog and he looked fantastic. The cut was just the way i imagined, short on the top and longer towards the bottom. Sometimes I dislike the star system, but I know we have to mark something. Brought our Westie in for a long-overdue grooming; we usually get his summer cut end of May/beginning of June, but I'm not very good at projecting out an appointment for him 3-4 weeks in advance. It's always "hey, I've got time Saturday - let's get him done" only to always come against "Sorry, no room at the inn." I do love how they were able to accommodate me with just two days notice. I do love how they were able to deal with his many mattings on his hind legs (I brush him infrequently, but for some reason, he doesn't like the brush back there). I did notice a few razor burns but they were very minor. And their pricing - not outrageous; not cheap, but on par with a lot of other groomers. My one issue is that their groomer did not read the shampoo I brought (our guy has both internal and external allergies; he gets drugs for the internal and Malaseb Shampoo for the outside), or know better not to use such a potent shampoo on his face. We picked him up; he seemed fine; very happy to see us and looking all handsome and trimmed. But as the afternoon progressed, his eyes got smaller and smaller until they were swollen shut. I flushed them with water and wiped with a washcloth and called Pet Station to find out what the groomer used on his head. Got the answering machine. We decided that if they were still in that condition in the morning, we'd take him to our vet. Luckily, the next morning, his eyes were opened. Bloodshot. Crusty around the rim. But open. And he did not appear to be in distress or pain. And Pet Station returned our call to tell us the groomer said she used the shampoo I brought on his face. O M F G! Really? Did you not notice the warning on the back of the bottle (which she said she would read) - Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes - ??? Googled and found out he suffered a chemical burn, poor baby. I keep bathing and flushing his eyes (I called the vet; this is what they advised I do if I couldn't bring him in) and they're already better today (2 days later); not quite so bloodshot. I am just amazed that a "professional groomer" would have allowed this to happen. And unfortunately, as happy as we were with everything else, I cannot bring myself to bring our guy back there. PERFECT HAIRCUT!!! EXACTLY the way I wanted it!! I'm SO happy with the service! I called a day a head and they fit him right in! Other places have to be booked at least a week or 2 in advanced. Also with other groomers, I usually have to "fix" the haircut (usually its around the mouth & ears b/c I prefer them short) but the haircut came out PERFECTLY! Kahlu's ears and mouth were cut perfectly! His hair looks so evenly cut (and its hard to get that right b/c he's Maltese-Yorkie-Pom mix). I love Lori at Pet Station. They make Happy, my malti-poo, a happy dog!. They are so accommodating. When I thought he wasn't cut short enough, they were more than glad to cut it right away. They seem to go out of the way to make sure I am happy with the service. Their waiting area is clean and don't smell like dogs like some of the other places I've been in. We have been going here for a couple years now. Easy to schedule, nice people, great work...what more could I want! We have a Havanese and a French Mastiff. We had been trying different groomers for the longest time trying to find someone that did the job just right. These guys nailed it! There were times I thought for sure they would have to just shave him but he came back with a darling puppy doo! My mastiff just gets her nails trimmed and they are always happy for me to just run here in and out no problems. I was extremely pleased with taking our puppy Apollo to this groomer for his very first haircut and grooming. He came home looking and smelling great. At check in, they asked how I wanted him cut, if I wanted to add the anal gland expression, and gave me a great estimate of time for pick up. Given this was Apollo's first visit, they also requested all of his shot record information which put me at ease with hopes that they are doing this with all of their dogs which just makes for a healthier environment for all of the doggies. At pick up, the front desk person was very transparent in letting me know that she initially had put Apollo down for being a "large dog" and had been corrected by the groomers that he is indeed a puppy still. He did have quite the coat on him given this was his first grooming and he's an Aussiedoodle. I'm excited to see his real coat come in after this initial grooming. They did great, and this will be Apollo's salon going forward! read more

Dropped off my admittedly matted Bernese Mtn Dog at 9:30 am, only to pick him up half butchered at 5:10 thanks to Cindy. When I dropped him off she asked me "What do you expect me to do??" You need to bring him in more often!" I thought it was strange that she was saying this in light of the fact that we are in the middle of a pandemic and groomers were closed! But beyond that I said, "I'm not a groomer and I have brought him here with mats before and they seemed to know what to do" (truth). At 1 pm I received a call and was told by the woman at the front desk that they would need to do the remainder of his mat removal and bath later on because he was taking too long and they had other dogs scheduled. I agreed and when I called at 4:45 to inquire whether he was done, I was told they hadn't done anything with him since I spoke with them at 1:00. So shaving my dogs back legs and tail took 8 hours???? The worst part of this whole story is when I walked in to pick him up, I could hear him crying in the back. And it was obvious when I brought him outside and home, that he was not taken out to pee the entire day or given one sip of water. I will never return to this groomer with Griffin. read more

The best place to get your loved ones groomed. I have a 5 year old grumpy Pekingese and a very sweet gentile Lhasa. I have brought my gentle little one there before knowing he would have no problems. Awesome job, Koa came home so cute!! Perfectly groomed! I asked if they do grumpy mean dogs that my Mochi is and they said let's try! Mochi has been denied service by 5 other groomers, even when she is drugged up, they would call me less than an hour saying Nope can't do her. So for years I have been trying to find a groomer who would try to groom her. So today was the day, they groomed her and she came back perfectly groomed. Mind you, other groomers tried. But I would get called to come pick her up. She would be half done, her body done but not her head, or just her back. I have tried so many times to have her get professionally groomed. I am a first time dog owner and have a dog that needs regular grooming. We decided to give Pet Station a try because of the convenience, and I'm so glad we did! I was blown away with how helpful, informative and patient Eddie was over the phone. The first grooming session with our puppy went about as expected and Eddie explained how they take their time not wanting to rush/scare the young ones. He gave me a full tour and answered my endless questions. They managed to give Lily a little scissor trim, clip nails, bottom and do a full shampoo and brushing, but they took their time because she was young and timid. For our 2nd time, he threw in teeth cleaning and again was calm and reassuring that they would do as much as they could but only as long as she was handling it well. I've been SO incredibly impressed with this place and am so happy with how her first full (successful!) grooming went! read more

I have been taking my schnauzer to Newcastle Pet Station for a couple years now and they always to an amazing job on his cut & clean. My dog is naturally not a big fan of groomers, but they always make me and Hurley feel welcomed & loved from the minute we walk in the door. His cut is perfect every time. Takes them about 2 hours for my doggie to get the full grooming service- and they call me as soon as he is done. They are flexible with schedules & make it easy to reschedule if needed. I have been using them since they opened. They were always expensive but it was worth it because of the great service and nice gestures (for example I would take my dog for a nail trim and they would also shave his paws and between his eyes - I thought that was the nicest touch). In the last few years they have been raising their prices every year and they now nickel and dime you for everything. For 2 nail trims and 1 paw/butt shave they charged me $40. Not only it took under 5 minutes but I used to pay $12 for 1 dog back in the day. I am never using this place again; I'm wondering how much they charge now for a haircut, I am scared to know. read more

The other day I brought my yorkshire into this shop to get it groomed. My yorky had a 2 inch winter coat on her that I wanted to get trimmed down to about 1/2 inch for a fresh spring cut. The first thing I notice was the girl at the front desk..she was kinda cute, friendly and really cordial. The customer service was spectacular. They gave me a set price and told me to come back in an hour or so later. When I returned my puppy was so well groomed and completely adorbs. The groom job really accentuated my puppy's cuteness and she wasn't even fussy and barking, which is a great sign that they treated her with extra care and bright smiles. Not very happy with my first (and last) experience here. Thought it was great to have a neighborhood groomer to support. I was pleased that my appointment was facilitated easily and they could get me right in. I had two labradors needing their toenails trimmed. I was surprised when it was done RIGHT IN THE LOBBY, and I had to hold onto one dog, hoping the other would behave, while the trimming took place. Once I got them home, it really didn't seem like a trim had even happened. The clicking toenails on the hardwoods was still very pronounced. Excellent all the way around. I was able to get an appointment within 24 hours for my two giant dogs. Usually small places like this only know how to handle tiny purse dogs but they did a wonderful job with my two 80+ lb babies. I don't like to give bad reviews as a business owner myself, but today I had a really negative experience here. I've been taking my dog here for 2 years to get her nails trimmed and never had a problem. Today when they took her to the back, I heard the groomer yelling at either my dog or another dog "no!" and "stop!" - I'm sorry but really not the way to get a dog to calm down if they are stressed about grooming. They also tried to charge me $5 more than they normally do but ultimately charged me the regular price after I brought it up. Overall, I was just really uncomfortable with the way my dog was treated this time. I'm wondering if it's under new ownership because I've never had a negative experience here before. Pros & Cons about this grooming place. Pros: The store is really clean & smells fresh compare to other pet grooming salon. They open 7 days a week, and until 6 pm even on the weekend. It gives a good availability to all busy parent. Cons: 1) When we drop off our dog, me and my boyfriend heard some groomer yelled " Shut up" multiple times to other dogs. Like the dog understand what shut up is and would really be quiet? I am expecting minimum patient and knowledge of how to groom a dog from you if you are charging $60 per groom. 2) They don't really listen! I told the groomer "DO NOT TRIM HER BODY LENGTH, I'D LIKE TO KEEP IT LONG. Only trim eye area, sanitary and paw". Guess what i found when i pick up my dog, clipper cut on her inner arm area, BLEEDING. It's been 4 days, and the cut is still obvious. If it's just clipper mark then it should have already fade. My boyfriend reject to send our baby to Pet Station ever again & i'd suggest all parent to think twice before choosing this service. read more

I thought I would check out a local merchant in stead of ordering clothes for my yorkie from Etsy or Amazon. The attendant was polite and showed me some of the different clothes they sold. Their selection of small clothes was not that great, but I bought a sweater anyway. After one walk with the new sweater, I noticed that the knitting had started to come unwound. After only a single day, 8 inches of yarn was already showing. I took the sweater back to the store the next day. In stead of accepting the return and giving me a refund or a store credit, the worker told me that the dog must have pulled the yarn out and that they wouldn't accept any returns. I have never experienced such customer unfriendly service. I would never take a pet and are recommending that none of my neighbors do as well. read more

Brian is amazing! I have nicknamed him the cat whisperer! My cat had really long nails. Before coming to Pet Station, I had attempted to take her to several other groomers.... None of which were able to clip her nails. One place even suggested I have her sedated first. To be honest, I was a bit scared for Brian when he agreed to attempt to trim her nails. He took her in the back room and then reappeared 3 minutes later saying "piece of cake." Not only were her nails nicely trimmed but she was actually calm after meeting Brian (which if you've ever seen a cat in a carrier, especially my cat, is quite an accomplishment)! I have taken my toy poodle in 3 times and Casey has been great. She is courteous and you can tell that she loves animals. They are always willing to touch up if you need them to and even said I can bring him back in for face trims without an appt. Ask for Casey when you go in though because I did have one bad experience with the other groomer. read more

I recently moved back to the area and typically cut my own dog's hair. With the crazy move, I didn't have time and decided to find someone local. The front desk lady was very nice and gave me an approximation on when my dogs would be done. About an hour before I needed to pick up my dogs, she called to tell me that my dogs would be done earlier. I picked them up and they looked super cute. Their paws was groomed very well and you can tell they took time on their face. The price was slightly higher than Petco, but you can tell the quality was definitely better and I'm willing to pay for that. read more
