Another employee quipped with a big smile, "I overheard them saying they need the biggest dog toy in Texas." We laughed and said that's what we'd promised before we left. The attention to detail there was fantastic. We found a home decor sign up on top of a large display that was perfect for our Bassett. "I (heart) Wigglebutts" and it was the only one left in a hard to reach place. They said "no problem" and had it down quickly. To finish off our shopping experience, the cashier was chatting with us and and we said we were heading to dinner about 20 minutes away for Tex Mex we'd heard about online. She gave us a Tex-Mex restaurant recommendation down the street. We're sitting here eating better food than we'd hoped to find. We're from IN/KY area and there's nothing like this around us. I was racially profiled, lied on, police were called on me, I was harassed by other customers & called names, secret conversations with other store clerks who plotted against me I had no idea. I was an unexpecting customer shopping and did not deserve the treatment I got today. All for using a coupon they provided in store. I did my shopping as regular but upon checkout I was confronted by the new store manager (who already had an attitude an discussed what she would be doing before I even got to checkout) she tells me she will only allow 1 coupon a day for wet dog food. The back of the coupon clearly says 1 per transaction. She goes on to say that it was noted on my account once before that I was told this but she didn't know who told me or when this happened. I told her that I had never heard of using one coupon a day. She says that she also talked with the store associate prior to me checking out who said he also told me about using only 1 coupon (didn't say when). I said wow so why are you and staff having a conversation about me as I simply shopped what caused this level of concern? She explained she watched me as I shopped then had a Convo with other staff (profiling me).I expressed that I did not appreciate negative notations in the system about me nor the unwarranted secret conversation. Another customer comes up yelling at me telling me I should be ashamed of myself, the staff just work here, I did not belong there I should leave, calling me a Karen. I told the woman this has absolutely nothing to do with you and she should mind her business. She continued on and on wheeling negative comments and I told her I don't care this does not concern her. So miss new manager calls the POLICE over the coupon. I leave and tell her I will wait for the police in my car, the customer says "what are you trying to push up on me lady" "Are you trying to attack me". I said excuse me I'm leaving the building and waiting for police. So, at this point I have Staff attacking me...random customers attacking me and calling me names. While on the line the manger gives my racial profile, gives the make & model & license plate to my car asking police to come get me. Saying that I was attacking their customers and making them feel uncomfortable (because how dare you speak back & defend yourself) they are Superior to me I guess. I started recording because I was all alone an realized quickly that this had a huge racist undertone, so I needed proof. The manager then starts screaming that I was recording her and following her around to police. She locked me out of the store while I recorded, another race came to the door and she politely greeted him and let him in. I waited for a while and decided to contact corporate because this was beyond disrespectful, unprofessional, harassing, immoral, inhuman and need I say RACIST. I was humiliated and still in disbelief that this happened to me. I will NEVER shop here again after how this new manager (who should not manage anywhere) treated me. I was not valued at all as a customer. I have since took this matter up with corporate and look forward to speaking with the VP and Regional manager. All races should be respected & appreciated when you are giving them your hard-earned money. I believe people forget that it is loyal customers like me that provide the success that any store has an keeps the doors open. Calling the police with false claims is something I will never forget. Shame on you!

However, I must note that when we adopted her she had a mild case of kennel cough. This became a problem because I have another dog in my home who is a senior. Luckily, they were both taken to the vet and were treated. I honestly wish that I would have been notified of this issue before adoption, so she could have been treated before we brought her home. Kennel cough is highly contagious so I know other dogs at the shelter must have it too, hopefully they have gotten this under control.

She gave me a tour of all of the treats that she offers and I met her little mascots- 2 Chihuahuas :) I chose a cake and she whipped it up for me with my dog's initial.
