Went in there for a nail trim for my dog, groomer instead of stopping when he heard my dog cry. A person who enjoys animals and cares for them wouldve stopped when he heard the first cry. Nasty attitudes both groomers had, and the way he handed over my dog was so rude and disrespectful, and basically told us to "get out" when we asked for a ticket to pay. If you dont enjoy dogs or dont have the patience for grooming, then maybe its not the right job for you read more

This location is conveniently located in the Riverside Square Plaza where the Mariano's is. There's not too much of a selection of fish here (just a small wall), if you're looking to make an addition to your family. There are some parakeets, and some reptiles, but this is mostly where you come to get food and things for pets you already have. The nice thing about this location is the self-serve dog wash stations. If you're not about that, there's a groomer available on the weekends from Fri-Sun that you can make an appointment with. I arrived at 7:30 pm to use the self-groom service for my two dogs with the Dirty Discount card, only to be told it was closed. Nowhere on the website or discount card does it mention that the self-groom closes 1.5 hours before the store. When I spoke to the closing manager, he claimed there was a sign, but after walking with my dogs to check, there wasn't one. I traveled out of my way based on inaccurate information, wasting my time and gas. Annette is the best groomer and has been grooming my Havanese mix for 4 years. I struggled for a couple years to find someone that had the patience to deal with his stubborn personality after his last good groomer moved to another state. Once I found Annette, I knew I'd follow her anywhere! She truly cares for every dog she grooms and is always honest and helpful if you need advice on how to maintain your dog's coat in between grooming. I've really only brought him and my pitbull in for grooming, but have browsed their store products and bought a couple things. Horrible horrible awful. I've heard so many bad reviews about this store not being clean, rude employees and always changing their employees, but I've still decided to check it out anyways because it's the only one near me and the moment I walked in I was not greeted... I walked in to use the self serve dog wash an hour and a half before closing and apparently they take they're last costumer at 7:30 and won't let you use it after that time. There was one available and they did not let me use it because I was 5 minutes late which is crazy because I went to the one on Elston right after and they let me use theirs. I love the dog wash area at this PSP! It is open at the back of the store, with enough space to accommodate up to three animals. When I asked them if my puppy needed a nail trim, the tech told me that his nails were already short and did not need to be trimmed. I really appreciated not being 'up-sold' on something I did not need. I found the store to be clean and well-run, and will definitely be coming back to wash our puppy and get some treats! read more

This store opened not too long ago. The staff is super friendly! Glad this opened in the area. They also have $5 self wash if you prepay for 5, it comes with towels, aprons, and shampoo. They have four types of shampoos, hypoallergenic, oat meal, deodorizing, and a shampoo&conditioner combined. I can't believe I've never reviewed my trusty Pet Supplies Plus before! We alternate between getting our cat food here and on Chewy. My favorite thing about PSP is that there are usually coupons- if you sign up for their subscription list , you can get 10-25% off coupons regularly by email. In addition, if you shop at the Mariano's next door, there is always a $5 off coupon in the back of their receipt ;-) Since we only have cats, we have never patronized their grooming or self showering booths in the back. The concept is pretty cool, and I've seen ladies taking their dog in for a shampoo. We usually buy their Merrick or Wellness brand grain free wet cat food, and it is often on sale. In addition, they often host these pet event Saturdays where they have special events and deals. read more

I usually get my dogs nails trimmed somewhere else because this place is a little pricey on the other items compared to wal Mart or online but so glad we started getting nails trimmed here! It is with great sadness that I heard from an employee at this location that my favorite sales person she was a manager I believe doesn't work here anymore. So let me tell you my whole experience was just awful , firstly I was not greeted by a girl in the front or anyone else there, there was a group of employees talking and laughing and they all ignored me so i ignored them, I walked towards my dogs food and one employee approached me while she was bringing dog food down in a ladder how dangerous ,and asked if I needed help with anything and I told her not at the moment , later on I asked her if I could speak to Diana (as Diana had helped me several times with my dogs nutrition and needs before,she would also help my husband find our dogs food when I couldn't come into the store, I work downtown Chicago so sometimes because of rush hour I would send my husband . This employee looked surprised and said why in a hushed voice and I expressed that Diana had always helped me and so on , this employee proceeded to tell me " diana doesn't work here anymore it's awkward when neighbors ask about her especially when the main store manager is around, it's sad we miss her a lot and a lot of neighbors always ask about her and miss her too. (I guess by neighbor she means customer). And I asked this employee what happened why did Diana quit and she looked around and said in a quiet voice the main store manager made her quit because Diana had told HR to keep an eye on the store manager because there were team members who went up to Diana and said that there were missing money from paychecks, but it wasn't just that the store manager was not professional and was not nice to certain people I know she was racist to an ex team member causing for that team member to quit , store manager was only nice to her favorites, so when Diana also brought that up to HR, the store manager got her fired but I know the store manager talked to a lot of the team members (she said it's the name they have for employees) and had asked them to turn against Diana or they would lose their jobs and i personally believed the store manager could fire whoever she wanted when she wanted as she had previously fired another manager and a couple of team members as well before Diana. And that she would make fun of Diana for being overweight. I was disgusted at hearing all this I asked her when this happened and she said in August or September. I asked her aswell why she was talking in a whisper and said well the main store manager is right there. She pointed at the group of employees who had ignore me and who kept laughing and talking by the fridges. I was infuriated I asked her if she had Diana's contact number so I could contact her and offer her my help as I know when I would come to the store Diana was always so so friendly and kind she had brought up that she had a dog but had to give him away because she could no longer afford him as she was a single mother. This employee told me she wasn't allowed to give me Diana's contact info away and that other team members and she gossiped that they haven't heard or spoken to Diana ever since they last saw Diana in the store in August . She said I'm sorry I miss her too and other neighbors miss her too they're always asking about her because she would help people in Spanish too and a neighbor who used to come here a lot because Diana understood sing language but last time she was here she wrote down on the back of the receipt where's Diana I haven't seen her for weeks and I wrote down she doesn't work here anymore and I haven't seen that neighbor since. The employee asked if I need help with anything else and I said no and she walked away. How incredibly incredibly sad. Definitely not shopping at this company anymore. I was not going to Yelp this at all so HR and her storemanager would not retaliate against this employee who told me all this. But Diana if you see my yelp review contact me you know where I work downtown you know my name youre more than welcome to come to my office so we can talk. And for HR if what this employee told me is true then you have no ethic. Diana was so kind and helpful she actually gave me her advice on a problem my dog had I tried her advice that actually worked instead of the vet who I switched vets by the way. I wish I would have known about this sooner . Horrible. I didn't buy my dog food there I simply walked out of that place. read more

I walked in to my puppies appointment today and I was met with a rude employee, Nisa, who immediately told me that I couldn't wash my puppy Tuesday and then wash him again on the upcoming Sunday. She told me that his rabies tag was irrelevant because I could've gotten that from anywhere. She then began to assess my dog and run down all the things he didn't need this visit almost as if she was trying to do the bare minimum. She insisted I waited til Sunday for another groomer. I am disappointed because my puppy really needed a wash and after talking to management nothing was done to resolve today's issue and I have to wait another week til Sunday to get him washed. Very rude and unprofessional and I am surprised because Quincy is so professional and sweet. I will not be returning for business. Please get people to work who want to do their job especially when so many people don't have a job during this pandemic. read more
