The staff and wash equipment. Always rude and disrespectful. Over the last decade plus I have been disappointed with the staff and dog wash. I use this store for a quick dog wash. It is close to home, but it is not my choice store as to the many reasons: The equipment is old and the majority of the time broken -especially the dryer. Always rude staff. I have two Great Pyrenese females and one of the two is very reactive and will bite me in the process of seeing another dog come close to us. I generally wash them both at the same time-but on occasion it is just one. On 3/18/25 aprx 7:05 in the evening I paid for only one dog wash. She defecated in a widespread area: it was all over her fur and hind legs. (She had eaten a whole bag of Italian coco cookies.) As I am in the process a man entered the wash bay with a grooming bag and soon after a Rottweiler- my dog became very reactive, and the man and his dog seen that. I politely asked the man to please give me just a little time as I am frightened that I and or they will get bit if they proceed to walk past me. The customer didn't oblige and nor did Patty the shift supervisor. It is unnecessary to burst in and frighten me- scream and make us a (paid customer )feel rejected. We're simply advising alerting and asking for few moments space for a legit reason. A staff supervisor is unprofessional-outta line when you're arguing- yelling- screaming at me an already paid customer and insist that that my situation is irrelevant for waiting a few small moments? We are not teenagers I am a mom with her dogs and her son. This isn't a need for VIP privileges -it's simple for safety. Its unprofessional to argue and be insistent he can't wait as I paid first and was there first -it is important to give respect to all parties. The last wash is generally 8:00 there was plenty of time. (Mind you each wash is only 20 minutes and I was there 7:05 ) I do handle my pets very well and always curb them etc. On other occasion many customers groom and take forever- we don't were always respectful. This store needs some very serious redirection . read more

I take my two huge Rottweilers to be groomed here pretty regularly for the past two years and have never had a problem. Scheduling is easy over the phone or online. The staff always does a great job. I've also used the self service dog wash. Usually there is a wait so be prepared especially on weekends; however, if you have a dog like me that you can't get into a bathtub it's really convenient and the price can't be beat at $5 a wash. read more

This review is for the SELF DOG WASH I've used self washes for my little dogs in the past - was happy to know there was one near to my home at pet supplies plus where I shop often. What a HUGE disappointment!! Water was cold and then got a slight bit warmer - more like cool. The room itself is also rather grubby - cold and not what I consider clean. So after his wash - we moved on to the blow dry -- COLD AIR!! I let an employee know who then let another employee know only to tell me this is the regular temp!! Soooooooooo upset and disappointed -- I don't need my dog catching pneumonia!! We left with him wrapped up in a towel (our towel) and dried my shivering little guy at home!! No one even offered us a store credit or refund -- so not happy with this entire experience Definitely would not recommend!!! read more

I took our 14 year old cat to have her nails clipped over the weekend. The groomer was caring, gentle and kind to our cat. I explained to the associate our cat had lost its owner only a couple of months prior. I explained this was the most likely the reason our cat was a bit nervous and somewhat shaky. We felt our cat- new to us- was still adjusting a bit. I asked the groomer to be gentle w her: no need, the groomer was indeed! I have been coming here for years because it's very convenient for me, and they always have what I need, though I wish they carried more Zignature Lamb Formula bags because they are always either running out or they already have run out by the time I go and pick it up for my dog Wrigley. Most of the workers are very nice here and very helpful. One younger guy once helped my mom understand how we would use one of the dog harnesses for the car. He took it out of the box and showed us how it works. Great customer service on his part! As for the cashiers, they are hit or a miss. The nice thing is that when there is only one line open and it gets very busy, they always call for backup. However, some cashiers have attitude, but most are friendly and personable. Frequented this store for two years. However, lately they seem to have huge issues getting food out on the store floor. Despite calling ahead three times in as many months and being assured that the food is available it isn't. Each time I arrived to pick up they noted that 'it was likely in the store room and to come back later.' This final time, and it is the final time I enter this store, I was told to give them 3-4 days to make sure it had been moved out to the floor. Hope the dogs understand their forced hunger strike. Management blamed staff and hours, staff blamed management, but no one takes responsibility or fixes the issues. Morton Grove is much better staffed and run by a professional. It was also clean which is always nice. Probably the worst grooming experience I could have imagined. I was hesitant to sign up my toy poodle for a haircut here but figured I would give it a shot. The picture on the right is his first haircut from a mobile grooming service and the one on the left is from pet supplies on foster. My poor puppy literally looks like a rat now. They shaved him so much, I'm scared his fur wont grow back again. I literally could have done a better job myself. Not only is it uneven but when we brought him back home, they didnt even comb out the hair they cut. I paid for the nail clipping and that wasn't even done correctly. Very unprofessional place run by people who have no clue what they are doing. Would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

As an update I will respond to the business' reply to my review. First, I did not refuse a titer test, I agreed that would be fine although it would clearly show no evidence of a rabies shot since she hadn't been vaccinated in 4 years so, the extra time added to her unclipped nails to wait for results of a titer that would show what we already know -she has no evidence of rabies antibodies-would not afford me the business I had been receiving from you already. Also, I'm not sure what alternatives to rabies shots you refer to but no one has mentioned that to me, not your company and not my vet. I found a place to get my dogs nails cut and my opinion hasn't changed, it is just unfortunate that you lost a loyal customer for a small 5 minute service that you had been performing for many years with knowledge of our situation. very disappointed in this location. I purchased the 6 dog washes ahead of time and only used it once. I misplaced the card and called and asked the lady if they could look up that I purchased the self service dog washes. I stayed the first time just for their nails to get clipped and the groomers were so nice and gentle, the second time i brought my yorkipoo to Amanda and she did and awesome job. Grooming is done by women who could have been thought how to be nice to a costumers. My previous visit was very stressful since I witness a dog almost being injured. The dog was afraid and only one person was handling him on the table which was high up. The dog almost slipped from the table while being tide up by the neck.
