Once again the dog wash station was filthy. This time I went in the afternoon. I had to call over a team member to see how disgusting it was as they were just standing around talking. She even seemed surprised at how gross it was! She said sorry and that they were short handed but no one was working. Just standing around talking. I have complained over and over. I give a one star for the manager not honoring the price that was posted on the shelf for the dog bed I was going to buy. Two identical beds were side by side. I only needed one. Sticker showed 15.00 (lots of things on sale in store). Mananger says the beds were mis marked and would not honor the price. A clerk went to the shelf where I found the bed and quickly took down the sale price that was shown. I've visited the store multiple tones, some times they are out of basic dog food and I have to go elsewhere. I'm finished with PSP. There are many other options in this area. read more

They have a pretty good cat selection, a great selection of dog stuff, and seemed to have a lot of specialty animal stuff but the prices weren't great, it didn't seem clean, and though there was one manager type adult woman there, the rest of the staff looked like they were all 16-19 years old and stoned out of their damn minds. They seemed a little off in my head but my boyfriend pointed it out and it all clicked. I was really just creeped out and felt bad for the birds, fish, ferrets and such that were in the care of these kids. read more

The Irmo SC Location We use this location for Dog Treats and for Dog Grooming. This morning I had to drop my 2 babies off before the grooming center opened. The manager of the store took the time to walk me into the grooming center, fill out the paperwork and place my dogs safely in the kennel so I could get to a work meeting on time. This store is great! They have a huge selection and are always well stocked. The store is very clean, even their bathrooms are spotless, although the restrooms are closed due to the pandemic. They price match any other seller! They also have a rewards program. The staff are super nice and extremely helpful. The one thing I'm not happy about is that they sell small animals like reptiles and prey animals. I am 100% against this because these animals almost always come from horrific breeding facilities. I will give them credit though, they do take really good care of the little ones while in there store. But I will never ever be in agreement with, or support it. I refuse to go to petsmart because there are documented articles about where they get their small animals. read more

Walked in looking for a dog food brand, asked the small asian lady working the cash register and she told us maybe try to switch food which is reasonable to say but then I told her I was getting a new puppy and we were looking for the food the breeder uses. She tells us all breeders give their dogs cheap and bad dog food then I proceed to tell the brand we are looking for is $60-80 a bag. She gives me a dirty look and acts shocked as if she knows anything about dog breeders. It completely disgusted me as to how she was rude and tried to tell me the dog food I was feeding my puppy was "bad and cheap" when it clearly is not. Without hesitation I walked out of that store, thanks to the asian lady at the cash register you guys lost a $200+ dollar sale. I do not recommend coming here!! read more

I did go into this store when it first opened and I was not impressed. The dog section kinda sucked and their prices were higher than other places. Plus they didn't even carry the type of food my dog needed. Fast forward a year later. I'm on my new adventure of piecing together parts for a turtle tank. I go in to check out their selection. While it was still limited, they did have a buy one, get one sale. That was pretty nice since it was on products I needed (thermometers and light bulbs). Plus their tanks were a little cheaper. So I get everything home, plug in the light bulb and pop, it bursts. Even though everything was the correct voltage. I put the second light in and that lasted about an hour and burned out. Now I'm thinking the return process is going to be a pain. I head in and go to the register. The sales manager comes out, apologizes for the problem and lets me pick out different types of light bulbs (even the cheaper ones). The whole way that my return was handled efficiently and professionally is one reason I will be back. read more

A few years ago I switched from shopping at Petsmart and Petco to shopping at Pet Supplies Plus. I had shopped at PSP in Bolingbrook (see separate review), but since my move to Aurora, I have been shopping at PSP in Naperviile. The main reason I shop at PSP is it's size. I prefer the smaller convenience-store size that is PSP. (Yup, I'm that old, I hate big-box retailers, they are so impersonal and too darn large. I don't want to walk a mile just for one or two items). While PSP is smaller than their competitors, they sure do pack a lot of products into a small store. They have everything I need (I mean, what my pets need), they are conveniently located along Route 59, and because of the convenience-store size it is easy in, easy out, quick quick quick. $10 self serve dog wash! Great price. Tall and low tubs, blow dryers towels and soaps, aprons and leashes to secure the dog in the tub. The water doesn't get hot and they had a variety of soaps , including hypoallergenic . I'll definitely be coming back with the other dogs that clog my drains. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is due to the blow dryers, would be nice if they were slightly warm or setting with high or low. read more

I live near this store. When I first moved to Naperville from out of state, this store was easy for me to find... Hence, I got in the habit of purchasing all of my pet supplies here. I liked the fact that it was locally owned, and I liked the staff. There used to be a lovely day time floor manager here, who was so sweet and helpful. I don't know where she went, but she's been gone for a while now. Honestly, for a long time, I only purchased DOG supplies here. I hadn't ever delved into the back of the store, where they keep the small animals, and small animal supplies. They sell fish, and various other 'small furry creatures.' Mice, rats, and until recently, birds. Recently, I noticed that they sell rabbits. I love rabbits, and don't need much an excuse to "ooh and ahh" over them - so I went over and spent some time checking them out. I asked some questions about the age of the rabbit, where it came from, the rabbits sex, etc. The store associate basically knew nothing about the bunny. She guessed that it came from a local supplier ('we tell them that we need a rabbit, and they send one"). She didn't know how old. She suspected it was "under one year old." Couldn't guarantee the sex (understandable if the bun is really young). The manager came out and, echoed the associates answers, and pointed to another rabbit (they had two) - "I'll make you a real deal on both! That one has been returned twice!" When asked why the rabbit had been returned, they couldn't tell me. Both rabbits looked pretty well cared for, but the whole situation seemed so irresponsible. I guess that's what you get at a pet store like this, but I'd rather drive a few extra miles to the other side of Naperville to 'that other pet store' - you know, the other locally owned store, which responsibly coordinates adoptions for local shelter animals. read more
