The cashier is ALWAYS very pleasant. She has been there several times I've shopped. I have meant to send in a compliment several times. She always greets you and after checkout she either tells you to be careful because there is a storm outside or hopes you have a great day. Today I was in to just look around to see what they are selling and it was a very hostile environment. I was looking at their conure and my friends had asked me if the $1100 price was a good price for the bird because I've raised them all my life, all i said to my friends was that it was overpriced and who I presume was the manager(women around 5ft with white hair shoulder length)came up behind me and yelled at me as she was passing saying "its not overpriced" in extremely aggressive and nasty tone. She proceeded to yell at me to leave because I said the bird was overpriced, I was interested in the bird but she completely turned me off. The other staff was extremely polite but this women was so rude that I can't imagine how she treats her other employees. I feel terrible for anyone who has dealt with her. As someone whose career is in customer service I would never let something like this happen. read more

The VIP Pet Care clinic on Saturdays is awesome! Took my 2yo Coonhound in for shots today. Got his - canine flu -bordatella -fecal test -heartworm test. All for $153. And the Vet and techs were really good. He was not happy about getting blood drawn and they did a great job with that. Highly recommend! read more

If I could give a review with out any stars, I would. unfortunately, but as happens, my dog and I were attacked by another dog in the store. I fell backing away from the dog, and was hurt and pretty shaken up. The employees were very nice and attended to me-and my bloody dog. The Manager however, started yelling " You dog isn't bit, its fine, your fine, show me where its bit, your fine, that's not blood on its chest," ect. I asked her was she a vet, a doctor? She said I'm the store Manager, just as g She was horrible and left me sitting in the foyer of the store. Hopefully after my complaints, they will get a new manager. read more

We've been to Petco, PetSmart, as well as other pet stores around here and were not unhappy. However they don't have much stuff so we ended up visiting Pet Supplies, and liking it! It's not a big retail store compare to other big franchises, but at least they don't have many empty shelves like others do. Especially, as a person who considers to be a dog "parent" not a dog "owner," I love that they have healthier choices for our furbabies. Really disappointed with this store today. Called the store and the gentleman that answered the phone stated they had a few silver dollar fish. Drove 16 miles to purchase them and get there and there was none the girl said they haven't had any in a while. than called to speak with a manager and was left on hold for 10 mins. When they first opened, we were thrilled that they carried the senior dog food that we buy for our dog! The last couple of months, their customer service has been really lacking. Not sure if they are under new management, but the service used to be great. From the new cashier who was almost brought to tears by (I'm assuming) a senior employee who was training her.. to showing up for 3 consecutive days, being told that the food we're looking for should be on the upcoming shipment, only to be told each time that "it might be in the back... check with us tomorrow. " To add insult to injury, my wife was told that they they would not offer a rain check for our 20% coupon which is expiring today. Who are these friendly employees I am reading about? Went in looking for fish with my family today, and walked by no less than four employees. Not even a "Hello" from one of them. There were dead fish in almost every single tank, some stuck to the filters and looked like they had been there for quite a while. The last tank I looked in had a dead fish at the bottom - which another fish took a nice little nip out of while I watched. MMMmmm....sanitary. Never once, were we approached by anyone. As we walked out past the four half-awake employees, none of them said a word. Just one asking another if they had already taken lunch. I commented that perhaps they should. I love that there is a new pet store that is in walking distance from my house. My puppy and I have been going there at least once a week. They already know her and give her a treat every time. The place is super clean and convenient, and they carry more food and toy items than Ive seen in Petco. They even have a self grooming section. The staff is unbelievably nice and knowledgable. They even offer to carry out my bags when I have my pup with me. They ran out of my pup's food once during the free bag promotion, and they still honored the coupon when the food came in. Prices are great and all, but don't purchase any exotic animals from here! They don't have any records what's so ever! I bought my bearded dragon from here and she was sick with an eye infection. Thank God I know how to take care of them because we got that taken care of. A few months later the bottom half of her body was paralyzed. I have no records of the parents if they had medical issues and they won't help refund me any money and they can't help because they absolutely nothing about these creatures. "Purchase them at your own risk" is what they should say for now on. read more

The stafff here are wonderful and happy to help. They have a great selection, prices, and sales. I have a very picky cat who loves all varieties of Royal Canin but the bag I got at their grand opening. The first 100 people got any bag of food under 5 lbs! I tried feeding my cat the food when she ran out of her normal food but she tried to bury it like a smelly poop, lol. Since it was free and opened, I didn't think they would honor a return, but they did. They let me grab a different bag which was cheaper and issued me a store credit. There was an issue with the gift card so I had to pick it up the next day. The store manager actually followed up with me a few days later as he wasn't sure I'd picked up the card! That's customer service! They also offered to carry my 40 lb box of cat litter to my car. However, I'm supposed to be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted at work, so I politely declined. The store is beautiful and well-stocked; however, it's the staff that catapults this store to 5 stars (and I would give them more if I could). I had just rescued a small white dog running wild along a four-lane busy highway, but had my 89-year-old father with me, so was unable to take the little boy to animal control until the next day. Therefore, I needed a collar small enough to fit him before going home. Well, Mike, an extremely pleasant and patient young man was working the register, and he took several collars down and worked quietly and gently with the dog to find just the right size, all the while handling the little boy with such care that the dog relaxed during the process. Then, Mike told Suzanne, the Assistant Manager, about the situation, and she offered to let me use their self-wash area to give a gentle wash to the very dirty little dog. Suzanne then proceeded to stay with me and actually give the bath while I held the dog. This made it so much easier for me to take care of my father and the dog when I got them both home! It was an extraordinary gift to find such kindness and compassion when the dog (and I) needed it most. You simply cannot train staff to be like that -- it has to be a part of their natural personality, and we are fortunate to have these folks working right here in this lovely store in our community.
