I gave it two stars only because the people working at the front are kind. This review is mostly for the dog wash, which is messy and has cockroaches. They provide some basic shampoos which did not work well for my dog's skin. Their aprons smell bad. They often don't have towels set out so you'll have to ask for them. There's no brush, which is inconvenient but somewhat understandable since ppl often take them. But the worst part is definitely the cockroaches. Other reviews have mentioned them and on my second visit, I saw them as well and they're HUGE. Finally, one of the ladies working at the groomer is quite rude. I asked to borrow scissors to cut off the tag of the brush I just purchased, and she said NO. Mind you, I only asked her because the ppl at the front desk said to ask her. When I mentioned this, she scoffed, repeated no, and then turned away. read more

I have gone here since they opened and front /cashiers very attentive and helpful. BUT - just spoke to Groomer a few minutes ago and he was nothing but rude. Do not go here. His name is supposed to be Daniel ? He told me I could not use coupon after manager said I could. Then said if my dog was old he could not take him , i told him he was a rescue and was not positive about age. He obviously upset because I asked about price being raised at last minute . I told him my dog was indoor dog and was not matted or flea ridden. He is the worst . Beware. Given one star only for manager, because he said he could not fix rude or unprofessional. I noticed the prices were reasonable for products. I decided to take my dog for a wash, because bending over at home hurts my back so bad. When I arrive, I realized I left my shampoo at home and decided that if it didn't include shampoo, I would just go home, but I asked the gentleman and he said yes it includes shampoo and conditioner. Before I decided to wash, I did want to check the height as if it was too low it would not be beneficial for me. I did check the height of the highest counter and it was really good so I decided to proceed with the wash. I had to pay first. The gentleman escorted me to the front to pay the $14 for the wash which seemed reasonable at the time. However, it quickly turned out to not be worth it at all. Firstly, the bay was filthy. There was so much dog hair from other peoples dogs, all over and mildew and mold that I had to do a pre-clean just to get my dog in there there was nothing there to even assist with cleaning no disinfectant to help disinfect from one dog to the next. Now mind you they never asked for any vaccine information. I proceed it for the wash anyway since I had already paid. That was quite underwhelming. If the water sprayer had nine lives, it was on its 10. It leaked water that it neither one of the settings were worth using and several of them were more traumatizing than anything. The water pressure was not great, but not horrible. Using the shampoo was very challenging. First of all the shampoo there water down I really couldn't tell what I was using so I just combined all that worked together and hoped I got a good mix. It was definitely of low quality but I guess that's expected. You never know who's going to be wasteful with products. I absolutely made sure to get the quickest wash possible. I just needed to get out of there. I really did want to dry my dog, but when I tried to use the dryer in the other bay which was dry, it was a mess when the dryer came on, it didn't really get warm. It just blew air and fell apart, but not only that there was so much other dogs here in this bay. It was just blowing everywhere to the point that I stopped I just quit I really had enough. They really need to clean these bays up and monitor them a little bit more. There was a sign that said to let them know if the bays need attention, so I did tell them. they acknowledged it but wasn't apologetic at all and I heard one tell the other we need to go check. They were both very friendly staff. It was definitely not worth the cost of pay now I feel like we both need a wash from the wash. I really feel like I still have dog's hair in my mouth from someone else's dog it really sucks... it's very overwhelming because my dog doesn't shed so eww! read more

I needed to wash my dogs and not make a mess at my home and also don't hurt my back. We have walk in showers before we had tubs and it was easier to wash them. I heard about pet supplies plus that that you can bring your dog in and they have a washing station. Sure enough they did!! They have a big station for bigger dogs and taller upright station for smaller dogs. Brought both of my dogs. They have 4 kinds of shampoos, a shower hose attachment to rinse your dogs with controlled water temp. Towels to pat them down dry and they have this hose vacuum blower that can blow dry your dogs. Floor staff are amazing. This review is not about them at all. This location always is out of items even though there is a market for them. I on more than one occasion have had to travel to more than one location simple to get the items I need. Management needs to do better about listening to their customers as I have nicely requested product more times then I can count. Reptiles also need proper bedding. If you sell animals, they need to be treated correctly. If not you're only allowing them to suffer which is horrible to see each time I stop by the store. read more

I have been shopping at the store for years and it has gone completely downhill. What a joke it has turned into the last three times I've gone in. The shelves are completely bare. I'm talking maybe three bags of cat food in the whole store no cat litter at all, a couple bags of dog food and all the shelves are empty. Shame on me for the fact that I keep going back and the same thing is always happening. This last time will be the absolute last time you have lost my business. When you ask the person working there, what is going on, they are sitting behind the cash register playing on their phone and all they can say is they don't tell us anything we don't know what's going on. I drive out of my way to shop there because I want to support small businesses, but it has turned into an absolute joke of a store and if you are not going to keep your shelves stocked, then close your store and quit wasting peoples time. Pros: caring staff, sales associates and person that answers the phone has great phone etiquette! I went in for the grand opening and drove all the way from Rosenberg to test out the dog wash for free with my pup and get a free nail clipping (it was their grand opening special) and was initially bummed out bc they said their groomer left for the day and the promotion only ran between certain hours of the day. However, they went above and beyond by calling one of their associates that know how to clip nails and she took good care of my pup! They really go above and beyond for their customers!!! They even remembered me from my last visit! I will DEFINITELY be back! In short, this place is the "H-E-B" of pet stores. We went in the store today to wash our dogs and get a nail trim for one. When we walked in we were greeted promptly and asked if we needed assistance. We informed the gentleman that we were there for the dog wash and asked if we needed to be placed on a list. He said, "No, but there is one person currently washing their dog, after them you are next." We walked around a bit and purchased a tag for our new Rescue. We then headed to the back where things went down hill. We lost our spot in the line not having been told we should go stand in the back and wait our turn.. So while we waited our turn a 2nd time, I asked if we could get our dog's nails cut, but we were rudely told "No, we are extremely busy, wash your dog first and then we will cut his nails". Meanwhile both groomers seemed preoccupied with their cellphones, no grooming was taking place. When I mentioned that we just got skipped for the dog wash the other groomer stated,, "Go take it up with him,' pointing in the direction of the associate at the register that greeted us when we entered the store. Then another customer came in behind us and the groomer cut her dog's nails immediately without an appointment as we stood there in dismay. Why we were treated differently I do not know. Next, we overheard the groomer tell the customer in line behind us that her grinder just broke??? I find this hard to believe because they kept accepting grooming appointments. How were they going to take care of these dogs nails? Likewise, the groomer never mentioned anything to us about the broken grinder, didn't offer any solutions and furthermore, never even bothered to address us after the fact. Instead, she kept her head down and appeared busy when we exited the dog wash. Not sure why the groomers were so unpleasant, but that on top of the fact that 2 days in a row we patronized your establishment and neither were wearing masks is disheartening. I love the small store, convenience and great prices, but I am extremely disappointed with the service we received and the fact that my dog left without a nail trim. I would also suggest a wait list for the dog wash. You are losing out on income because customers can't shop while they wait. There were things I wanted to purchase, but after the experience we had I just wanted to pay for the wash and leave! Please address these behaviors with your team and consider implementing a better process for the dog wash. read more

It was cleaned before our time so I neveer would have known someone had been before us. They supply an assortment of shampoos and a apron so not to get so wet when that inevitable "water shake" takes place. Though only 1 area (which was great as we work through our reactive faze) there are bath areas for small and large dogs (high and low). They also have a good assortment of dog foods and treats. I've made a review already that was previously deleted. If this one gets deleted this time I'll take my complaint to social media & news outlets as a good friends husband works for a big news station here in Houston. We got 3 guinea pigs here, they've all had issues. We have been battling ring worm on one that we didn't see in the store now since we got her & the other one had ring worm pop up 2 days after bringing her home. Cool. It's just ringworm although I'm irritated that after just spending $80 on them.. now they're going to cost even more to treat.. we go in another time to get a few things we need & my daughter falls in love with another guinea pig.. we bring her home hoping to give her a better life only to bring her back 2 days later due to a VERY severe upper respiratory infection that ultimately killed her.. great.. now my daughter fell in love with something only to have the poor creature die shortly after & now a creature is dead that should have been treated much sooner. We were then informed that another one of their guinea pigs in stock also had an upper respiratory infection. Literally just another petsmart & petco. The enclosures they carry & advertise for hamsters, guinea pigs, etc are entirely WAY too small & they shouldn't carry any LIVE animals either as it's obvious this is another place that is perfectly okay with the suffering of animals as long as they make a profit. How is it breeders are looked down upon but chain stores that hold sickly animals from breeding mills are thriving? How & why do people who know nothing about proper animal care & who source sick animals own a store for animals? It's pretty obvious as the owners son who works there seems to know nothing aside from where items are located and is always rude. The only friendly faces & educated workers are Melissa , dude that wears the pink mask, & the dog groomer. Another thing that's bothersome is I could have easily walked out with only 1 guinea pig. Guinea pigs are herd animals & can/will get depressed being alone.. Just like at petsmart & petco where they'd rather make a sale than do what is right by the animals in their store. Yet another store I hope has to stop the sale of live animals as the owners are very obviously doing more harm than good for them. read more

I'd steer clear of purchasing animals from them. ‍ I got two Guinea pigs from them first, one of which we discovered was riddled in ring worm which spread to the other so for the past month we have been battling ring worm on these two pigs.. then we got another guinea pig from them about two weeks later, we thought The heavy breathing was just her scared & stressed but the next day when we started hearing wheezing I knew that wasn't it. She had an absolutely horrible upper respiratory infection so we brought her back & Melissa (who is incredible and awesome) promised to give her the best care & keep us updated just for the simple fact that we cared about the well being of said animal.. a couple days later I get the news that the guinea pig died. I would highly advise to find a responsible breeder or a responsible rescue if you're sourcing a small critter friend. We have found a breeder & got a Texel Guinea pig from her & she is AMAZING. Super friendly, healthy, and very well taken care of with proper husbandry advice & guidelines. The cages they sell marketed for guinea pigs are entirely way too small & the hamster cages they have available are also WAY too small. Just seems like another animal pop up shop that sources their stock from Irresponsible breeding mills with owners that don't actually care about the well being of their animals or the kind of products they're marketing to said animals that result in people keeping animals in crappy conditions. The BEST & about the only good thing this store has going for it are the employees.. Melissa, the dude who wears the pink mask, & the chick I've seen grooming. (Sorry I don't know y'all's names) I wish I didn't feel like this store was a mini petsmart and petco but the fact that I've gotten 3 sickly guinea pigs from them, I can't help but to feel like it is. I will NEVER buy another animal from this store... I will only source my animals from responsible breeders from this point on because of this experience. Although I'll still stop by to grab something if needed but that's only because I truly do like the three employees I mentioned above, if it wasn't for them I wouldn't ever go in this store again. Don't go there for grooming. Got my shih tzu there for first grooming by them. I arrived to find my dog shave BALD down to the skin. Was told he has matts and I was charged over $50 to have my dog shaved bald without first speaking to me about it. I should have not been charged that much to shave my dog bald. read more

Came here for the self service dog wash and it's great! I recommend it especially for those with large dogs who doesn't like to clean up the mess after the bath.
