Good stuff! As with Chicago Goods next door, this is a bit of a boutique gift place, but for pets! With Edgebrook being a little more fancy, this is a place that sells very fancy dog food by the weight. My dog is fine with the mass store brand one thank you, but they have a ton of awesome treats, including chew sticks. I think this is the hidden gem of this place. They have a large variety of rawhides, bully sticks, and others. You can also get a dog biscuit and a variety of other things. Like I mentioned for Chicago Goods, if you need a cool quick gift, this is also the place to be for your "friend". Everybody working here is very nice too and while the prices are a little high, you are getting good quality! read more

I came to this store last year looking for a solution to our dogs anxiety in the lead up to the 4th July fireworks when other items from Target and our local pet store didn't work. The owner gave me some sample packs of Pawse CBD treats to try on our 2 dogs. They worked perfectly on our 60lb dog ( that shakes and trembles during thunder/lightening and loud bangs) so I came back and bought a full size packet. It lasted nearly a year, I recently returned to get more and was happy they had them in stock. Still trying to find the solution for the other dog who mainly pants and paces. read more

Great shop, I have a American Staffordshire Terrier. He has a lot of allergies and is a picky eater on top of it all! He constantly had allergic reactions to foods the vet would recommend. When I first starting coming to Pet Wants, my dogs hair was dry, rough, had no shine. He would get blotches and bumps all over his skin. Since December, I have been feeding Deebo the whitefish and duck. HE LOVES IT! I don't have to throw out food anymore because he actually eats it all. She loves the kibble so much we don't even have to put pourovers in, which we've always had to do in the past. The kibble looks and smells so much better than most brands we've bought in the past. I heard about this place through Garrido Stray Rescue Foundation. I was only going to pick up treats that I was buying through the rescue but I met Eva, one of the owners there, she told me they were going to start selling those treats there! I thought that was amazing since the dog bakery that makes those treats is so far away and only sells wholesale. I found our new local pet store! They offer all natural dog food and treats as well as apparel for your fur babies. My dog is very picky so I am glad to hear they will be selling her favorite treats! Pet Wants Chicago North is amazing, the owner was extremely helpful my first time there and she gave us samples of the dog food to try so we can see what our dog liked. We were looking to switch our Border Collie to a higher quality food since he was having a lot of tummy issues, previously on Blue Buffalo. Ever since we have switched him to the lamb and rice food from Pet Wants Chicago North he hasn't had any issues. He's more energized, overall healthy and he loves the food! The Pet Wants dry food is noticeably fresher and has real high quality ingredients so it was an easy decision. Both have shinier coats and more consistent stools. I drove by and saw we finally have a dog store near our home!!! it was my doberman 1y birthday the next day and lucky me they had healthy happy birthday biscuit. He LOVED it! she also provided me with sample of whitefish grain free food. He chowed it down quickly. I probably wouldn't get it shipped since i live near by but will stop by to pick up some bags. Our sweet lab/husky mix was diagnosed with a tumor at the age of 15. The vet recommended food and treats that were grain free and high in protein.
