so my mother and i bought a package- 410 dollars, The basic facial is okay ( 35 dollars when you buy a package) my mom likes how you have the option to create your own package and get different facials instead of 10 of the exact same facials LoL, what I found funny and different from the other facial places was that they tell you to strip upper body and wear this towel thing so it's easier for them to massage you. lol The massage was good, I was surprised they did extractions pretty early on during the facials, I think i was only under the stream for like 5 minutes. Talk about value. I went in to try out one of their mini facials and it was a great way to spend 25 bucks and 45 minutes. I was taken to a room right away (so fast I barely had time to say, "Hi, I'm here for a 2:30 mini facial") and next thing you know, I was on the table having lovely potions rubbed on my face. The room was warm (warmer still once the steam was on) and there was just enough music drifting in. A little white noise of other people out the door (it's a small office and they stay busy) but it wasn't bothersome. The extractions didn't really hurt much, though I did drink a lot of water and took a hot shower before I came in. Everything seemed clean and pleasant. It's not fancy like other spas, but you get quality services without all the markup for the sake of faux marble and mimosas. For a mini facial there's no massage, so you don't have to get undressed. I've already scheduled my next one. If it goes as well as this one, I'll probably look at buying a package. read more

Extractions were very painful and left with red marks and opened wounds, which I had never experienced with many other facialists elsewhere. Still left with many blackheads or impurities after the facial. BAD! Longest massage I have ever gotten so far from everywhere. GOOD! Very thin layer of mask for less than 15 minutes (too quick). Again, my experience elsewhere had always been very thick and heavy. BAD! The only place not using eye cream, but only a single product for the whole face. BAD! Friendly, courteous and not pushy. GOOD! Facial prices are competitive, but IPF and mole removals are more expensive than some dermatologists. Will be back? Not sure. read more

I visited this beauty spa recently based on a friend's recommendation. The place is located inside an office building instead of the traditional store-front location. Once, i entered the spa, i did not feel like an office space at all. In fact, it is rather cozy and has a warm feeling of it. The background soft music also help the atomsphere. I packed the basic facial treatment which includes most of the regular items such as deep cleaning, exfoliation, vapor spray, etc. In general, i can feel my face is very clean after the treatment. Plus, i feel very relax and re-energized because there is a light shoulder + hand massage in the treatment. The price is also very reasonable ($40 for basic treatment) and the money is well spent for the service that i received. The only drawback of this place is little bit hard to find and after that everything is cool. read more

My facialist is Vivian. I'm so lucky to have her. I purchased a 10 facial package and I'm on my 5th time at least which is why I can form a consistent opinion on the quality of the service. This place is mostly Asian clientele who visit, and that's what I was looking for because I want to find an Asian facial place that knows what Asians want in a skincare. Vivian starts the facial with a cleanse and then steam to open your pores, then the exfoliation and extraction starts. I don't have too many clogged pores so I can't attest to how her extractions are, but I know she is gentle in her extractions - although a little painful. She then goes to massage your face and your neck and even your hands. I really enjoy it. The entire process lasts about 1.5 hours. Once I was on a long haul flight (10 hours+) and those flights completely dry out my skin. The next day when I got home, I went to see Vivian and she was able to help stabilize my skin and moisturize it so that it calms down. Neither Vivian nor any of the other ladies have ever tried to sell me anything other than the facial package. I like that because I don't feel pressured to buy something every time I go into the beauty store. The place is clean and quiet and the price is reasonable for the service you get. There are 3 ladies there - Vivian, Joanna, and Janney. I know all of them and all of them are super nice and fun to talk to once you get to know them. I would highly recommend my friends to go there for the fair price, service, and quality of the ladies. I go without fail once per month. I have been going to Petal Beauty for almost 2 years and find it good enough to recommend to others. It is a small place with friendly staff and reasonable prices for the packages. If you want fancy environment like Burke Williams then this is not your place. But if you are practical and don't care for fancy but just cleanliness, comfort and professional job from the staff then you can give it a try. My two favorite parts are the 1) essence infusion after the facial massage. They are very generous in putting on a lot of the serum to moisturize the face. It is very helpful to someone like me who has dry skin. 2) The shoulder and head massages are delightful and a great way to end the treatment - extremely relaxing and comfortable. Other than these two perks the facial itself is done well and they also give good facial massage. The only issue I have is the sound barrier in the suite is not good so if one customer is talking loudly to the aesthetician then it becomes annoying as you can hear them talk during your entire session and defeats the purpose of going there to relax. Most of time other customers are respectful enough where they don't talk loudly throughout the entire session. So this is only an occasional issue that I have encountered. It would be good for the staff to remind their customers that others are there to relax and not listen to them talk through the walls. Overall a good place to go. read more

I have been with Vivien for almost 5 years now since I moved to the bay area. I feel very lucky that I found her as not only extraction is very thorough, the price is VERY reasonable. If you can bear through the extraction, come be with her, a little pain for great results is worth it. She has a magnifier mirror to look into your pores and get all the nasty guy out, hooray! If you let them hide longer in your pores, they will turn into ugly pimples.. So, Vivien understand how to work on my skin, no let go of any single tiny trouble guy. hehe. Another, her recommendation is very decent and won't force you to add any treatment, product, or package if you are not interested. In my last facial, I was asking if I can add the oxygen treatment and she said I do not need those seeing the condition. I bet lots of therapists will not reject such a request to earn some bucks but she is different. I have been with them for over six years. Both Vivian and June are super friendly and knowledgble. The office is decorated nicely with music playing softly in the background. The place is very clean. I usually buy an annual package and visit them monthly. My face is soft and smooth after the service. They also provide useful advices on things I can try at home. They never try to push any extra service. But if you want laser hair removal or anything else, the price is very reasonable. I recommend Petal Beauty to all my friends. I get facials from Petal Beauty every few months, whenever I feel like my skin is acting up. Since I'm a teenage girl, I tend to get a few breakouts and clogged pores (those annoying bumps under the skin that never seem to go away). I usually go to Vivian for my facials, but I have had other ladies perform facials on me before and they did a great job too. I normally either get the acne facial or the basic facial, which are both around $50 plus the tip, but they are cheaper if you buy a package of 5 or 10 facials. I think it's a pretty good price considering how expensive most other facial places can be. During the facial, they cleanse, exfoliate, and steam your face before they perform the extractions. The extractions can be pretty painful, and afterwards your face will look very red and inflamed and kind of scabby. You will probably not want to go out for the next few days until your face heals. I'd probably recommend getting a facial during a break/holiday so you don't have to face people at school or work. So just a warning: your face will look horrible afterwards if you get extractions because they dig all of the gunk out of your pores. Don't wear foundation or any base makeup for the next few hours. After a few days, your skin will heal and it will look much smoother and less bumpy. It usually takes about 10 days for all of the red marks to go away, but once they do, my skin always looks so much better and smoother and acne-free! I would really recommend going here if you have some breakouts and clogged pores like most teenagers do. read more
