Small local store with some icee cream, cheese, eggs and more. Stopped by for ice cream on a hot day. The people are very friendly.

Had a great opportunity to stop at the Petaluma Creamery on our way home from a Bodega Bay trip. We sampled the amazing cheeses that created fully complex range of taste and texture. At the deli our group sampled the cheese burgers and pastrami sandwiches. The cheese from the creamery makes the burgers standout and at a very reasonable price point. Thank you Petaluma Creamery for a great experience.

Excited to finally go inside!! The counter girl was so nice and helpful with suggestions and samples. Great prices for really good cheese. The ice cream and sherbet were also really good.

McKayla was so nice and offered some suggestions on what cheeses we would like (the spicy jack on sourdough was a great combination for grilled cheese). We were able to get a tour and Kevin was so knowledgeable! You can taste the difference in quality and approach at this local creamery. Such a cool experience to see how the butter is made and to know all the cows are pasture raised.

It looked promising, but to say we were underwhelmed by our experience here is an understatement. The spot is pretty cute & bbq smoke wafts as you approach. Inside, it's not very big, but it looked clean. There are cheeses to purchase, a small section of merchandise & knickknacks, an ice cream counter, a sandwich counter, & tables & chairs. There was just one man there who was tending to things outside & doing tasks inside who NEVER acknowledged us in any manner AT ALL. He just carried on. The ice cream counter had a sign that said no individual scoops available, just pre-packaged containers. Definitely no sign of any cheese tasting opportunity happening. We were seriously the only people there & we lingered to look at things for a bit, so there was opportunity to even just look at us. Maybe the food items you can get here are great, but we were just so unimpressed by our experience of being treated as if we were invisible.

Good ice cream! The cheeses I've tried were fine but not great. Have not tried the sandwiches or coffees here. Usually staffed by high school age kids, so don't expect incredible service. The building is old but in mostly good repair. There is usually plenty of street parking, but they do have a few spaces in the back. You can see their large dairy tanks from the street. They have about a dozen flavors of ice cream. There's a pretty large display case of cheese with lots of variety.

Best hometown ice cream in all of Petaluma and well priced too. The service was fast with kind workers and the ambiance was cozy and homey. Definitely I most go again for ice cream and cheese.

I wasn't the slightest bit pleased with the ice cream here. I got the Chai flavor that was ok, but I could barely taste the chai tea flavor. The issue wasn't the flavor though. It was more of the texture. Ice cream is supposed to be creamy. This was not creamy. I can't say I've ever had ice cream that tasted "chalky" before. This was a first! The ice cream was off the charts sub-par, the shop was a bit run down and in need of a paint job and fresh decor, and the service wasn't all that good. Definitely will drive right past this next time I'm in town and in the mood for ice cream. This did not hit the spot at all. The shop was unappealing, as was the ice cream....

What do you do on a hot 98 degrees day?! Head to the Petaluma Creamery for ice cream of course! We arrived shortly after noon and browsed their dry goods, drinks and the many cheese options they have. Headed over to the counter and there awaits many ice cream flavors. I got a scoop of strawberry and blueberry swirls. Yummy! It was so creamy and provided some relief from the heat outside. We sat inside by the window to enjoy our treats. I also ordered a BBQ brisket sandwich to go. They have deli and bbq sandwiches. You would pick up a slip and mark all the meats, bread and condiments you would want on there. It takes about 10+ mins for the sandwich to be done but we were enjoying our ice cream so we didn't mind. They also serve coffee and breakfast. We wanted to pick up some cheese to go but it was so hot, we didn't feel comfortable driving it around in the car. Maybe next time. Great service from the young guys working there. Keep up the great work!

Fun little place to pick up local cheese. Last time we had their ice cream and it was also very good. I really like their Garlic Jack. Strong and tasty! We bought their giant chocolate chip cookie for $2.50 and it was fine. Has a strong crisco oil flavor to it, so I wouldn't recommend that.

Big outside, small inside. I was looking forward to more of a adventure, rather than just an ice cream store inside. Honestly, there's really not that much to do here, except just buy some ice cream or cheese. I ordered a double waffle cone, with chocolate and mint chip. Was really delicious, for about $4. I asked the clerk about tours of the creamery, and he said they discontinued those for health code violations. Not exactly sure what that means. So overall, just an okay experience. If you just want to buy some ice cream or cheese, I think you will be happy. If you're looking for more of an adventure or experience, I think you will be disappointed.

Not the best ice cream for me but it was ok. Texture of the ice cream was not as smooth and buttery as I would have loved.

Our group of…read more7 had a fantastic time! it started with a presentation on the overview and history of this family farm, then a tour of the cheesemaking facilities and barn where the dairy and beef cows hang out. We met their farm dogs, took photos with the sweet cows, and saw the family working around the property. We then ended with a tasting of their products: cheese, curds, and kefir (all delicious!) Since it was a birthday party, my friend brought a picnic lunch which we enjoyed along with the cheese. We ended by choosing to buy a selection of the cheeses we liked, to take home and share. I was thrilled to find they sell at my local farmers market - I plan to buy more of the Herby Curds when I've run out of cheese next!

While they sell discounted tickets for kids 5-12 and kids under 5 are free, we and all the other families there found the tour to be a real struggle for our little ones. We all felt a little misled about the experience based on the online description. It's a lot of standing very still (in rooms with equipment that shouldn't be contaminated by guests, or next to equipment that has cow poop on it), listening to the owner talk for long stretches. We expected more movement around the farm and time outdoors, instead of something closer to a lecture with a large group in tight spaces. It also ran over time (to 2 hours!) ending with a nice close up visit with the cows and some small cheese samples. We did really enjoy meeting the cows and learning the details of how cheese making works. It is a real labor of love. I think there's a lot of potential here; the Achadinha tour has all the ingredients for an awesome visit but could use some editing. This tour could easily be 30 minutes, an hour tops. We would've liked to stay and buy some cheese but by 1pm we were all starving and fled to find lunch elsewhere. Other parents shared they would've had a great time there on a date, but definitely wouldn't go with small kids again. I'll also flag that they require you to step through a decontamination footbath to go inside the facilities. There were a lot of miserable people in sandals who had to get their feet wet in the chemicals. Closed toed shoes that can get wet recommended for this tour.

The outdoor area is beautiful and relaxing. Since it is an open space, it could be very hot in summer or cold in winter, or during the rainy season. Moreover, this ranch is also not very noticeable to international tourists. We found it because during the New Year's holiday, many places are closed. So we googled this place while we were staying at the Hampton Inn Petaluma. We are from San Luis Obispo, California. There are many olive oil farms nearby.
