He didnt need a cut only wash, but the groomer INSISTED on trimming around his pee and anal area to prevent staining. THIS is what she did! Literally shaved his bottom area haphazardly and charged also shaved ALL of his anal area and nicked his anal area because there was blood when he pooped and I could see the cut. My poor baby. The Mgr gaslighted me saying she wasn't concerned as if nothing happened. Zero accountability Zero care. Never again!! He just got a low cut 4 weeks ago and his mane was growing back out nicely. She even trimmed his face back and ears on her own! Pissed!!!

I take Winston to this Petco mostly for his grooming and nail trimmings. I LOVE the staff at the grooming center and they're always so friendly and welcoming to walk-in's. I've been a customer at the grooming center for about 4 years since I moved to East Dallas and the staff are always so happy to see Winston. So much easier to take him to get his nails trimmed than me attempting to do it at home! The grooming center is usually very clean and consistent. Super quick to get his nails done. I also sometimes buy treats and dog food here. Mostly little odds and ends. They sell Fresh Pet and a good variety of dog foods when I need to make a quick trip. Prices are pretty good and they sometimes have items on sale. However, I prefer to purchase dog food at Pet Supplies Plus since they seem to have a greater selection. Recommended for dog nail trimmings and seems the haircut styles and trimmings look good from what I've seen on the dogs in the grooming center.

Brought my puppy in to get her hair cut. It took them SIX hours and they did not give her a potty break at all. The cut was way shorter than asked for. It was sloppy and left with some bald spots. She has a razor mark left on her butt. So the lack of consideration shows me my dog was not safe there. Her tail was not finished grooming. When I called to see why it was taking so long to get my pup back the manager was extremely disrespectful and ended up hanging up on me. I would not bring your dog here for services.

Hmm... I used to have a review for Petco on here, but it seems to have dissapeared. I have been going to this Petco for two years now and I'm in there at least twice a month picking up food or treats for our puppies. (Hubby and I have three greyhounds and they eat a lot of food!!). I can see that others have had bad experiences with this location however I have never experienced anything bad here. I've never seen animals poorly taken care of, and I've always had an incredible experience with the staff here. They have great deals on quality dog food and some great treat selections! I always see happy animals in clean cages, several times I've even seen one of the employees carrying around one of the cats from the adoption center cuddling it. That to me speaks of a quality love for animals of all shapes and sizes and that is why this location continues to get my business.

Horrible customer service! Under no circumstance come to this location The people here is going to treat you like garbage, they're rude and have no idea what they are doing like the girl on the first picture, Rosa, just look at the picture, you'll see what I'm talking about. I always come here to get my pets food and medicine but today the so called "supervisor" Liz Towns, made it so terrible that I'm not coming back, she will make you feel stupid, laugh at your face and talk behind your back. The store is always messy and dirty and you can hear the animals crying on the grooming area. These two ladies should be fired immediately, they are destroying this location.

Back in the unenlightened days of my youth, this Petco was my go-to store for all things pet related. It was close to home, had reasonable prices and carried the food that I used to feed my dogs. I've since learned that by giving my money to a business that could care less about the live animals in its care, I might as well be abusing the animals myself. I've personally witnessed mammals in cages with no access to food and/or water and dead fish floating in fish tanks. For those two reasons alone, I stopped shopping at Petco. Against my better judgment, I stopped in to buy some discounted after-Christmas toys for my dogs. As soon as I walked through the front door the stink of dirty animal cages almost knocked me on my butt. Along with the smell was a disgustingly dirty floor. I was only 2 feet in the door and was so repelled that I turned around and walked back out. Thank you for this immediate reminder that my money is better spent at pet stores that actually give a shit, Petco. I believe you and I are done.

I get it- they dry hair quickly, but mine is just super sensitive to them. A few weeks ago, I reached out to Furry Tails via email and explained my dog's fears. The gentleman (I believe his name is Jake) quickly responded and assured me that he understood and that he could offer a kennel dryer. I took her in today for her grooming appointment. Of course, she immediately put on her brakes (locked her legs) and I had to coax her into the salon. Thankfully, Jake was waiting at the counter. He remembered Verda Belle's fears and did his best to become friends with her by talking softly to her and offering a treat. Of course, she was making me feel guilty, but I also could see she would be in good hands. She was there about 2.5 hours since it took longer to dry her. He called when she was ready and when I arrived, he assured me that she actually tolerated it all well. Whew! She looks amazing! He groomed her as I had requested and she smelled great. It is wonderful knowing I have found a kind groomer who actually treats animals with gentleness and love!

I can't imagine not having Lori, Debbie, Luis and the Pawloft staff as apart of our weekly life. The care, love and attention is "bar none". Simply said, Pawlofts is the best! I was originally told my appointment was at 3:00 PM, so I rushed home from work to make sure I was there on time. Throughout the afternoon, I was given multiple different arrival times. First I was told 4:00-4:30 PM, then 5:00 PM, then I received another call saying they would arrive by 5:15 PM. By 5:45 PM, no one had arrived, and my text messages asking for an update went unanswered. Because I had spent my entire afternoon waiting at home, I ultimately had to cancel the appointment myself so I wouldn't miss a family event. Had I not canceled, I would have missed it. What disappointed me most wasn't the delay itself--things happen. It was the lack of clear communication and constantly changing expectations. Had I been told from the beginning that the groomer might not arrive until after 5:00 PM, I could have planned my day accordingly. Instead, I rearranged my entire schedule based on information that kept changing. When I expressed my concerns, the response focused on the fact that they waived a same-day cancellation fee and had already applied a new customer discount. While I appreciate not being charged for an appointment that never happened, I don't consider that a resolution to the inconvenience of spending nearly three hours waiting on multiple inaccurate arrival estimates.

I called around and no one could do it this week until I called Bark Avenue. Jay was really nice and said he would work around my schedule. He was to arrive at 10a to start the salon services. He was running late but sent me a text to let me know and arrived at 10:30a. He and his mother (his partner was ill) took care of the 3 dogs and they were not nervous or skeptical. That says a lot because these 3 have been through so much and their confidence level is way below the radar. He cleaned everything up, vacuumed and left the place clean. I was able to use the Yelp deal so it only cost me $120 for the 3 dogs, and that included de-shedding for 2 of them (where others wanted to charge up to an additional $25). I would definitely have Jay back to take care of my dog and any other fosters I may have. Thanks, Jay and Mom!

I scheduled an appointment with the owner after speaking to him last Monday at 11am. He was very…read morenice and told me he had availability this Friday at 12pm. He asked me to text him confirming the appointment time and my address, which I did. Unfortunately today I called them at 9am after never receiving a response to my text. They didn't answer, but called me back at 11 after me texting them asking them to please confirm my appointment since I work full time and would need to come home. He told me that he didn't have any record of my appointment, and even when I sent him the screen shot of me confirming the appointment he told me he never received it and that he was sorry. Long story short- they didn't even offer me another appointment or some way to apologize/rectify for the error (discounted groom? Come by on their day off?) and even though they were polite on the phone I wouldn't recommend such a disorganized professional service to any friends. I mentioned that their Yelp reviews seem to reflect lots of missed appointments and he said it was just the two of them so unfortunately that's why. I really think Bark Avenue should look into hiring an assistant for scheduling, or an online platform for booking appointments. You are losing a lot of dog-loving, paying customers by losing appointments and not offering any kind of consolation for the mistake on your end.

I choose Pierre's for grooming my two pugs after much research in the central and north Dallas…read moreareas. Their prices are a bit lower than others and I LOVE that they offer Dremel nail service, which is perfect for dogs with long quicks. That confirmed my decision to try this place. It has been a challenge finding anyone who can trim one of my pug's long quicks without hurting him, so I was excited. I dropped the pugs off at 1pm and they were ready around 4:45pm on a Friday (they recently changed grooming services to Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays). The pugs were happy upon pickup and continued throughout the evening as well as smelled pleasant. Their nails looked amazing, and no bleeding occurred. The groomer even showed me her Dremel tool and the safety feature on it to protect dogs' nails. It is always a concerning risk to try a new groomer for various reasons, and I'm so glad I chose Pierre's. I also like that I only needed to show updated rabies vaccinations and not additional shots like many places require simply for grooming. The owner Jobbi managed the phones from the first time I called about pricing and services to scheduling to picking up the pugs. He is extremely friendly and conversational; I never felt rushed. Pierre's is in a cute little house right on Lovers Lane with easy access. I highly recommend them for grooming!
