LISA!!! In Aquatics was absolutely amazing and very detail. I am a beta girl and had come in to get a new fish , my last one had died after 2 years! Lisa help me get my first half moon beta and showed me some updated food items to get. I went home and was irresponsible and killed my new fish within a day because I used some old pre made water from my previous fish. Running back to Lisa devastated she then gave me more knowledge on how too much conditioner can also kill them as well. Half moons are very sensitive and now I know. Once at the checkout Hallie! Was amazing and super fun. I do have the Petco membership and she was able to show me how to use all my perks and get the best savings!! I saved $30 that day. Such a successful trip.

Dog owners, beware. My husband took our Mini Schnauzer to Petco in Missouri City for grooming, and the groomer named Mimi completely ruined his beautiful coat. Our puppy has been groomed regularly without any issues, but this time, Mimi butchered his cut. She even suggested that my husband bring him back the next day for her to continue the job. When he got home, our puppy was whining and whimpering. Do not take your pet to the Missouri City Petco for grooming. I called the store to speak with the manager and was hung up on multiple times; she was not helpful at all! I will be posting reviews about Mimi's terrible grooming skills on every website, vlog, blog, and social media outlet I can find. If you care about your pet, avoid Petco.

I'm unbelievably frustrated. I've been getting my dog groomed at this Petco for a while and up until today the grooming service has been at least mediocre, and I was willing to settle for it out of convenience. Today the service that was provided by Sadie was an absolute disaster for the following reasons: 1. My dog was STILL WET when I picked him up. It's a dog wash, not rocket science--wash the dog, dry the dog and brush the dog. Simple. I won't even get started on the brushing because I'm pretty sure the 15 minute brush that's included in the service never happened given they didn't even have time to dry the dog. 2. The said grooming service also includes ear cleaning. I've attached the pictures of my dog's ears (taken after I picked him up from Petco) and I won't comment any further. 3. I was rushed there with a text message at 3:30 saying "your dog is ready for pick up and last pick up is at 4". I dropped off my dog for his 2pm appointment and I was told it would take at least 3 hours for him to be ready because there were 2 other dogs ahead of him waiting to be groomed by Sadie. When I tried to kindly bring up the issue at pick-up, the lady at the counter just kept cutting me off and talking over me so here I am writing this review assuming my point didn't get across the first time. I was essentially told they will take their sweet time grooming him and when it came to picking him up, I was given a 30 min notice to wrap up whatever the hell I was in the middle of and run over to get him at their convenience. The least they could have done was tell me when I dropped him off that the last pick up was at 4 if they had known that all along. Overall, I feel like I just wasted 60 bucks on a dog wash I could've done better in my backyard. I hope someone at this Petco has the decency to give me a refund or a store credit for the amount I spent today. Otherwise it won't be difficult to find a PetSmart that provides the same basic services.

Professional staff and welcoming environment. I took my dog Luna for bathing, and she was immediately at ease because the people there truly care and know how to handle dogs. When I picked her up, her coat was silky, sleek, and clean - no fur floating away when I pet her. If you have a dog with thick fur, I highly recommend the premium wash with deshedding treatment. And if you need anything else - supplies, recommendations on geckos, dietary advice for your pet - this is the place to go. Gwen, Brittany, Grace, Kai and the whole team are rockstars.

When my pet ran away, I was like WHERE DID MY PETCO. Apparently someone heard me and opened a small local pet store of the same name. Pretty decent pet store which is a mega national chain, and with some of the prices being higher than online or some other locations, it's confusing, and I didn't appreciate that. Still a really good store to have around, despite the high prices, but the kittens looking for adoptions in the corner of the store break my heart, and Petco makes way too much money off those.

VETCO staff at this location is always rude, unprofessional and cold. The exact opposite experience she would want to have taking your pets to the vet. From the nurses to the vet. I'm taking my dogs here for a year and a half and recently switch to a private vet clinic in EaDo. There are several other great local veterinarians don't waste your time and money.

I really loved bringing my puppy here as a one stop shop. Grooming, vet, etc. Until - I had my puppy groomed here for the 3rd time and he came home not acting quite himself. He refused to open his right eye and continued to paw at it. I ended up taking him to a vet hospital where it was found he had a corneal ulcer, which may have come from shampoo getting in his eye. I really didn't blame the groomer but, wanted to see if anything may have happened during his session. I called numerous times and never ever received an answer. I was transferred to phones that rang off the hook but never once got to speak with an actual person about what happened to my pet which is really unfortunate. You would think that a response would be the least they could do. Not sure if I can take him back without risk of a $300 vet ER bill

Thanks to super star groomer Brittany for doing an awesome job in making Lucky more handsome than he already is and comfy during the whole process of getting spa'ed out (mani-pedi, haircut, blowout lol). No matter what location we use we always get great service and grooming for our pup. PS. Make sure to tip your groomer ;)

I will never bring my dog Ellie back to this grooming salon. I asked for a teddy bear haircut, nothing more than a trim. That means I wanted all of the hair the SAME length. I guess that's what I get for paying $44 for a full groom on a 8 pound maltipoo My poor baby's before and after.

My dog, Charlie, has severe separation anxiety and pica, which complicates things that much more. After 3 month of extremely expensive (and complicated) gradual desensitization training with a well-known CSAT company, he had made almost no progress and I was at a loss. Charlie still couldn't be trusted alone without me doing a time-consuming series of "warmup" steps and, even then, only for about 25 min and not reliably. I hadn't been able to leave the house in 7 months without hiring someone to watch him. But after just 1 very reasonably priced virtual consultation session with Megan, and a few weeks of following her recommendations (which were super straightforward!), he has made continual and consistent progress. Recently, we smashed 2.75 hours of alone time and he just keeps getting better! He's so reliably calm that I don't even need to check the cameras for the first 60 min, afterwards only checking in every 10-15 min. I've been able to stop relying on a babysitter just to live my life. Plus, Megan has been a real support through the process, answering my questions and providing me with the guidance I need to feel confident. Trust me: Anyone who is struggling to help their dog overcome any kind of anxiety or trauma should definitely go to Beyond the Dog. TLDR: Have a severely anxious dog? Skip the CSAT and call Beyond the Dog. You won't regret it. I promise.

They know absolutely nothing about how to train cats. We have been keeping our cats separated because of fighting, so we hired a trainer to come out to our home to help us reintegrate them. Before the trainer came, she asked us to have the cats in their harnesses, even though our cats have had zero harness training and for them to be in separate rooms where they can't hide from her, which was an odd request. She spent absolutely no time trying to bond with our cats and decided that on the very first day, the cats were ready to be in the same room together. What? They haven't been in the same room together in months. They are wearing harnesses, which they do not like wearing, there is a stranger in close proximity, and they have been put in the same room together. What could go wrong. Needless to say, everything went wrong. The cats freaked out. They were so stressed. One was trying desperately to hide, but was trapped by the trainer. To top it off, the trainer texted later and thought the cats seemed relaxed when she left. OMG, seriously. It was a terrible experience for the cats and for us. You don't have to be an animal behavior specialist to know all the things the trainer was doing was wrong. Any pet owner with any common sense would know that. We canceled the rest of the sessions. Lost our $250 deposit and money for the training session. What is more disappointing is the owner of the company, Dr. Savage, never reached out to ask why we canceled the rest of the sessions and never asked about our experience with the trainer. You would think, as the owner, she would want to know what happened.

They seemed to have a good inventory of items and there wasn't stuff all over the floor or accidents that dogs had caused. We went in the middle of the week in the middle of the day so there was a good amount of parking. I don't know if I would come here on the weekends because N. Shepherd is super busy and it's hard to get in and out of to turn back onto the Main Street.

I drop my dog off at 10 am for an appointment 6/6 I made weeks in advance, they confirm my appointment the day before as well, at 2PM IN THE AFTERNOON I'm informed there's no groomer there, never was a groomer down on the schedule at all. The best they could give me is "sorry you can come back tomorrow or another day and we can TRY and make sure someone is there" Oh not to mention every time I go it's always a different price with no explanation. As someone that's been with you for 5 years, never no showed, not payed or caused any fuss this customer service was extremely disappointing.
