Brought our pup in for the first time ever to be groomed and he came back out looking, smelling, and feeling great! Lala our groomer was professional and took amazing care of Bruno, our dog! We will definitely be back to see Lala! As for Petco itself, they have great employees and it is a clean environment!

This place is hopping. Great if you're on a hunt for a custom ID tag ($7-9) and the chicks are sweet, but don't put all your eggs in one basket: someone might come along and rabbit. ... Happy Easter! (\_/) (o.o) (___)0

Easy parking, friendly and helpful staff, park on the roof and take the stairs or elevator down. Erica & Jacqui teach the dog training class both are knowledgable. We just completed the Adult level 1 and are completely satisfied. Only 2 other dogs in the class so it was practically like a private class. We will be starting Level 2 in January!

Erin at the Quincy Petco helped us with our first fish purchase and she was wonderful. So helpful and very knowledgeable. I felt comfortable asking her questions. Highly recommend asking for her.

This is the closest pet store to me. When my Maltese is in need of something this is where I have to shop. It almost seems a bit deserted here. The store is dingy and doesn't look clean. I am pretty sure they are under staffed because you never find employees walking the floor just cashiers. They do have a great selection for dogs and once in awhile I can get some really good deals on the essentials. I mainly come here for food and treats which they have a great selection of... They seem over priced to me compared to other stores but the food is reasonably priced. My Maltese loves coming here and running around however some of the other pet owners that come here don't seem to friendly... I've experienced some serious attitude problems here. If your pet can't handle it keep him home. So if you have a dog and need some essentials come get it here I wouldn't recommend any other services at this Petco location.

Our dog looks depressed after the grooming!!!

Finally my dog is fixed by my local groomer! And this is what a professional grooming suppose to looks like!!! Very appreciate of my local groomer and will never go back to Petco.

The absolute worst grooming experience. The groomer was rude and ignored all of my requests. Do not take your dog here.

We were repeat customers of Shipyard Dog. Before our young dog, we entrusted our elderly dog to the…read morefacility for daycare and boarding for several months before she passed away. We returned because we had previously had a positive experience. We appreciated the cleanliness of the facility, the convenience of the online reservation system, and, most importantly, we trusted them with our pets. Our young dog began attending at approximately four months of age, and for several months everything went well. This spring, we were told he had been "humpy and displaying dominance" during a previously scheduled boarding over school vacation. We immediately followed Shipyard's recommendation upon returning by temporarily removing him from daycare, having him neutered as soon as possible, observing the recommended recovery period, and even offering to pursue additional training if needed. After doing exactly what was asked, Shipyard accepted additional boarding reservations, giving us every reason to believe he remained an appropriate candidate for their program and that any concerns had been adequately addressed. While returning home from a recent trip, we received another message stating that our dog had "incited an altercation" and now needed to be removed from the facility for several months. This meant coming home and unexpectedly needing to start over in finding future boarding after relying on Shipyard Dog for our travel needs, which had recently increased due to a death in our family. After reviewing the 13-second video provided, I was left with more questions than answers. The footage did not clearly demonstrate to me that our dog was solely to blame for the altercation, nor was I given any objective explanation regarding the specific behaviors that led to that conclusion or what "improvement" would actually look like for him to return. From the video, our dog appeared increasingly overstimulated. He was open-mouth panting, sat down while several dogs continued to approach him, and rather than the interaction de-escalating, additional dogs continued to converge around him until a fifth dog approached him directly face-to-face, at which point he reacted. I was also surprised that there appeared to be no consideration of simply removing him from the playgroup or modifying his boarding experience, particularly given that he had been recently neutered, before deciding to dismiss him from the program for a "few months." The video also showed two playgroup monitors nearby before the interaction escalated. What ultimately led us to make other arrangements was the complete breakdown in communication. At no point were we told that our dog's place, even as a boarding customer, was in jeopardy despite accepting four future boarding reservations throughout the summer. When I raised concerns about how this was handled, I received no response. When you board your dog, you should be able to travel, even under difficult family circumstances, knowing your pet's needs are being thoughtfully managed. Instead, we were left worrying about unexpected behavior messages while traveling and scrambling to find new boarding arrangements afterward. I recognize that every facility has the right to determine which dogs are the best fit for its program. My purpose in sharing this review is not to dispute that right, but to help other owners understand our experience. I encourage readers to draw their own conclusions. If you rely on a boarding facility for travel, I encourage you to ask detailed questions about how behavioral concerns are managed, how much communication you can expect if concerns arise, and what alternatives are considered before a dog is removed from the program. Those answers may ultimately determine whether a facility is the right fit for your family.

He was 5 months old when we hired William and at first it seemed great. Wyatt was basically housetrained and it seemed like William was supporting that. My boyfriend got a dog cam for Christmas and we started monitoring it because after Christmas, we were coming home to accidents and a very stressed out Wyatt. We even asked William about this and he said it was "normal" and suggested crate training. So we began leaving Wyatt in a crate. While monitoring the dog cam, one day he seemed to not come at all but we figured maybe he had come early. Another day we watched as he came into the apartment, cleaned up a pee accident, then left. The last straw was when he entered our apartment with his daughter, let Wyatt out of the crate for 30 seconds, cleaned up what appeared to be spilled water, and then shoved him back in his crate and left. Wyatt is a precious family member to us. We were horrified at this level of neglect and frankly, thievery. Please use another service, for your sake and your animals'.

First and foremost we had a meet and greet at our house so that we could meet him, but more importantly introduce him to Jameson. Additionally, he is 100% reliable, accommodates our schedules, and is great with communicating whether it be updates or schedule confirmations. There is no better way to describe Lance and his two other trainers as miracle workers. I have a…read more1.5-year-old cattle dog/husky mix who is extremely fear reactive. It was impossible to walk by other dogs without a huge scene or even people without him growling. Baths and nail cutting were out of the question as the local groomer told me to never bring him back, and when I attempted, he would become aggressive towards me. I have always believed in Kevin and thus have been to A LOT of trainers in search of helping him reach his full potential of being a great dog. Away from his fears, Kevin is the sweetest dog. The number of people who told me he was "incurable" and that I would have to simply manage with what I have the rest of my life left me deflated and hopeless. Then I stopped to chat with a woman who was walking her German Shepherd one day and she told me I had to go see Lance. A week later I was sold. Lance has been a blessing. He has achieved more with Kevin in a matter of months than others said Kevin could accomplish in his entire life. While Kevin still has some work to be done, he now can walk by dogs without a scene, LOVES pets from people and even just this week had his first bath and nail cutting without any issues. Kevin's sister is another shining example of Lance's work. She was returned to the rescue by a family who said she was heavily resource-guarding and acting aggressively. My mom adopted her but was worried she was too much to handle. Since working with Lance, Luna is a new dog and easily the best dog my mom has ever owned. It is not just Lance's abilities to train dogs that are so incredible, he is also there for the owners. He understands and allows us to speak our minds and even vent with frustration about the different obstacles we have faced during the training process. He is ALWAYS available to the owners and truly loves what he does and the dogs he works with. I really cannot say enough great things about Lance and his team. If you are struggling with your dog, Lance is the answer. I rarely write reviews but this one was necessary because I empathize with the difficulty of finding great trainers--Lance is beyond great.

With both dogs it was clear that Lance is some sort of dog whisperer. He always seems to know how to respond to the dogs in a way that will correct the behavior, and he did a great job of explaining the corrections to us so that we could try to understand how to best manage our dogs while on walks, in our homes, interacting with other dogs, etc. When we first started our classes with Lance he stressed the importance of training us (the humans)--and I think he does a great job of trying to train us in addition to the dogs. We always looked forward to our classes with Lance and enjoyed seeing the progress made by our dogs. There is nothing better than saying "down" from across the room and having your dog plop down in the blink of an eye. If you want someone who not only knows his stuff, but knows how to impart important tips to the dogs' owners, Lance is your guy. PS: make sure you come to class with jokes :)
