Okay so once again I went to get dog food but checked on the fish to see if there was a difference and clearly there isn't I feel this is something that shouldn't be happening repeatedly

An employee knew the hamster was like this and didn't care to help it.

I came into the shop earlier for some bird food but ended up wondering around the hamster section. I had seen that there was this hamster bleeding out. I proceeded to inform an employee and he had told me that he already knew about this situation, but didn't do anvthing about the situation before I told him. He grabbed some tweezers and picked up the injured hamster, hurting him. He was being rude and unprofessional about the whole situation. I chose to purchase the hamster because it was obvious that nothing good was going to be done if it staved there, so I took matters into my own hands. The wound was clearly there for longer than what he said. He also informed me rudely that there was no point in purchasing the hamster if it was going to die. Please do not come here.

Dead fish that has clearly been there for a long time because it's only the skeleton.

Poor fishies were swimming in their own poop. It's very obvious they never clean the tanks, this is abuse. There was many dead fishes amongst the other fishes, some were even attacking the already dead ones and eating them, who knows if they even feed them as regularly as they should.

my lucy. happy out and away from being kept in a crate for 2+ hours.

I've been taking my dog for grooming at this location for eight plus years now and they've always been horrible at notifying you when your dog is ready for pickup. I've been putting up with it all these years but yesterday was a boiling point for me. Her groomer Vivian or anyone else for that matter (there were at least 4 other groomers that day) and nobody notified me that my dog was ready for pickup until I finally just dedcided to go in after it had been 5 hours since I first brought her in. I called multiple times to check on her status and nobody would answer the phone. When I got there I asked them since when has she been ready? They had told me that she had been ready for pick up 2 HOURS AGO! I asked why nobody had called me? The associate told me they called and left a voicemail. They did not call me and they definitely did not leave a voicemail! That's their excuse every time. There is no excuse for leaving a dog in the crate for 2 hours when I could've picked her up. Definitely no excuse to keep a dog for 5+ hours, my dog is an older dog she needs to eat and does not spend much time in a create or away from her owners. These workers just don't care about your dog, or their costumers. I did not tip the groomer because it was on her to make sure to notify me my dog was ready for pick up and she failed to do so. I can't believe management doesn't do a better job trying to notify.

She came home with a solid foundation, and we've gained the knowledge and tools to continue reinforcing her training. We'll definitely be sending her back for boarding and refresher training while we're abroad later this year because we couldn't trust Juan and his team more. From day one, Juan provided exceptional customer service. He was never pushy, took the time to explain the training process, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and was always easy to reach whenever I needed him. I ultimately chose the 5-week off-leash obedience program. As difficult as it was to leave my puppy for that long, it was absolutely worth it. My dog came home calmer, more confident, and with a much better understanding of commands such as stay, down, place, come, yes, and no. She listens significantly better and is clearly more focused and well-mannered. Oh and let me not forgot to mention she is now crate trained and potty trained. She now sleeps comfortably in her crate and understands that potty time happens outside. The facility itself is beautiful, private, and extremely clean. I also want to give a special shoutout to Dom for the incredible care and dedication he showed my dog during her stay. If you're considering professional training for your dog, I highly recommend reaching out to Juan and his team. The investment was one of the best decisions I've made for my dog. and I'm so grateful for the foundation they've helped build for her future.

After many sessions and homework, we now have a dog that has so much more confidence, has learned to self soothe and is so much less stressed. Maddie had been having some reactivity issues due to being attacked on 2 separate occasions by a bigger dog. Any time we would walk her, she would howl bloody murder. And if you know a beagle's howl, you know how loud it can get. The neighbors knew when we would be walking her because they could hear her for blocks. And people would stare at us as if we were horrible pet parents so we decided it was enough and contacted Diana for some help. As soon as we met her, she explained her process and how she works. And she explained how and why reactivity occurs. Everything was explained very easily and smoothly so that my spouse and I could understand why Maddie did certain things and how to correct them. We went ahead and did the 8 session package and met weekly with Diana. She laid the foundation for us and we increased training to build on that foundation. Lo and behold, Maddie no longer howls bloody murder when she sees another dog! One of our neighbors noticed and said that he can't tell anymore when we walk her because he doesn't hear us anymore. And every time we spot him during our walks, he's always so impressed with her training and how far she's come along. We ended our training with Maddie learning "down" and we are planning on doing more training sessions to further build on Maddie's training with e-collar training and more obedience. I can't begin to thank Diana enough for all that she's done for us and for our chonk. Diana is super awesome and an amazing trainer. She provides you with the guidance that you need. We also have a small dog (chi) at home and we were worried about how to get them to acclimate and live together peacefully. Spoiler: they are now besties! Help came in the form of Carrie! She is funny, (not only one of the funniest and KIND, humans we've ever met, but also extremely knowledgeable and professional. She spent hours with us at our first meeting and we learned SO much. A lot of dog training is about "human training" IMO, and the tools she gave us changed the game for us. Their approach is based on understanding how a dog thinks/behaves and adjusting oneself to the dog's pov. It is crazy how using the tools Carrie gave us worked and did so, fast! And there's always ongoing homework and tools to use to help correct behaviors as they come up. And that is on us to continue that work. We saw big improvements right away, Especially with our chihuahua, (because if you have a Chihuahua, you know they have a lot of personality packed in a tiny body with a lot of opinions) and the tools that she gave us helped us establish ourselves as the leaders of the pack. Carrie is really like a dog psychologist. She has an innate understanding of dogs and was able to translate a lot of the anxious behavior my dog was exhibiting and helped us to address it in a calm and gentle manner. He really responds to what we are asking of him (be calm/don't bark unnecessarily, etc. and makes a HUGE difference in the quality our lives. Additionally, a lot of the tools that she gave us helped our big (newer) dog to have more confidence and as a shelter dog, whose history was unknown, it has also been a game changer. He now can interact confidently with strangers, lives peacefully, with our little dog, and does not pull on the leash and responds to basic commands Overall, he seems very balanced. Through training with Bark Busters, we can see that our dog has more confidence and is more trusting with us and the result is a very happy dog... Moreover, as our dogs grow and evolve, we know that Carrie is always available to us by text, email and open to any visits we need as things come up. We were told we'd receive ongoing support, customized training, and help throughout our dog's life--even if our circumstances changed or we moved. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. When Henry was a puppy, we had one in-home training session and, if I remember correctly, one follow-up email much later. As he matured, he began developing some unexpected behavioral issues despite being neutered and having been a very friendly puppy. I reached out to our trainers, Paksha and the other trainer on our account, multiple times to schedule follow-up training that was included in the program. The biggest obstacle was scheduling. Appointments were only offered during the workweek for follow up. I had to reschedule once because of an emergency, and another time because I realized my husband should be present so we could both learn and consistently reinforce the training. I was told they would get back to me with weekend availability. They never did. That was months ago, and I never heard back. We paid thousands of dollars specifically because Bark Busters advertised lifetime support, but when we actually needed that support, it simply wasn't there. The contrast between Henry's training with Bark Busters and the excellent training we received years ago from a local Burbank trainer is significant. Charlie, our other dog- three years younger than Henry, has outstanding manners because of those sessions in group training. Henry never received the ongoing guidance that Bark Busters promised, and we're left feeling like we paid a premium price for a service that effectively ended after the initial visit. If you're considering Bark Busters because of the "lifetime support" promise, I would reconsider... For us, it did not live up to the expectations that were set when we signed up.

Both dogs we adopted were/are absolute jewels; healthy, happy, and obviously well-cared for. With limited, private and volunteer resources, dogs are NOT accepted to the shelter willy-nilly, but based on their temperament and adopt-ability; and once in the shelter, if a dog is not adopted, it is assured a full life. This is not a "pound," but more a sanctuary for adoptable dogs with GSD genes. As such, it's not someplace you can just "dump" your pup. Potential adopters are vetted base on their home environment, experience with dogs, and commitment to to provide a safe, caring home. The adoption process, which includes evaluation of both dogs and potential adopters in order to assure a "good fit," is thorough and reasonable. They want adopters to be experienced and committed to integrating a dog into their family. I fully expect the negative reviews are all from either owners who want to "dump" their dog and resent being turned away or deservedly browbeaten, or from failed adopters who were denied a dog they wanted due to something questionable in their home environment. Westside's primary concern is the best interest of the dogs.

Instead of receiving compassion or guidance, we felt judged and shamed for reaching out for help. We were told that surrendering our dog was cruel, and the response went as far as explaining the euthanasia process and suggesting that our dog would likely be euthanized. We were already heartbroken over having to make this decision. We weren't looking to be criticized--we were looking for help. If the facility was unable to accept our dog, that could have been communicated with kindness, professionalism, and empathy.
