I have always came to petco in the past the staff has always been friendly and very helpful. I have never used any of their services before. However, I decided to bring my daughter dog here to be trained, Storm Jade was out of control chewed up everything. I didn't think Storm could be trained, well I was wrong. Becky her trainer is AWESOME! Storm loves Becky still have classes to finish but Storm has come a long way, Very Satisfied with the results. The Grooming department here is GREAT! Wow I just got scammed. I bring my dog here couples times before and never loved their grooming service but they are convenient and I can always get an appt when I wanted. I have always paid 65 for my large dog. Last time they charged me extra $20+ cause his hair was really long and dirty. And this time he was not! They charged me $65 + $22 for this pick3 thing. When I asked what is the extra charge, they said it's a package for this kinda dog and I have always been paying for it. Which is completely bs. I'm def not coming back here doesn't mater how convenient they are!! read more

I've used mobile groomers for the last 5 years because my dogs don't like to sit in kennels for hours at the groomers. Petco offers "Rush Rover " grooming for an extra $10.and your pet is never left alone to wait. My Husky sheds his long fur, sleeps in the dirt, is stubborn & will bite the hairdryer & more. The bather/ groomer, DUSTIN was EXCELLENT. Wow This Guy Knows Dogs. He told me it would take an hour, so I went shopping at Fresh & Easy. He called me after 50 min. & said my dog was done. When I walked in to see my dog, I was AMAZED! My dog was so Handsome, Stunning, Jaw-Dropping Beautiful... I asked if he shaved him because he was so trim? DUSTIN said, No I just brushed out his fur & undercoat. My Dog Looked Great! I asked him if he got bit? DUSTIN said, "No he tries to bite the hairdryer but I move fast & maneuver around him!" I've taken my Husky to DUSTIN twice & it's no coincidence that my dog has looked stunning and elegant. My dog gets so many compliments after he's been groomed by DUSTIN. I highly recommend DUSTIN for grooming your dog. Please call in advance because he is not there everyday. read more

I've been coming to this petco since I got my puppy a year ago. I come here for everything. The employees here are very nice. As you walk through the door they welcome you. If u have any questions they are here to answer them. They even take the time to show you where the products are that you need. I've been using the grooming service too. TYLER is the best!! Worst experiences ever!!! Where do i begin, the staff is rude and hardly a help at all. I understand that for many many of the employees there this might be a job and not a career; however that should not be the reason for having such horrible attitudes and lack of customer service skills. I've been going to this Petco for quite a while only because im in a hurry sometimes and its close to my house, but seriously the one on Azusa is 100% percent better and worth the drive. I went in to get something for my dog they didn't have the size i wanted and tried a smaller size which looked worn and asked the cashier if it could be refunded if it didn't fit because it obviously looked worn. Went home and it didnt fit my dog. Went to the Petco in Azusa and purchased the item with the right size. 2 weeks later went back to this Petco and the cashier was so rude he implied that this item had definitely been used by my dog. After i told him that i bought it like that he told me why would i buy something like this if you knew it was worn like if i was and idiot, he said he could not resell an item this worn (after it was clearly sold to me in that condition). I work for a local vet and we have been referring customers here for over the counter products, however many disappointing instances I will be changing the address to the one on Azusa or any other one but this one. read more

Tyler took great care of my Doberman Pinscher. She came in a little nervous but they made her open up and treated her like we would at home. They said they would have her ready in 4hrs and they took a lot less. She came out smelling and looking fabulous. read more

I recently switched from petsmart to petco. Now I'm wondering where to go now! I had gotten a pack of sentry dewormers from the petco in Fontana since that's where I live. It turns out it was the wrong one for my kittens so I went to return it to petco in West Covina by my son's school. The cashier John said he had to talk to a manager and shortly came back to inform me that he had to get approval since the store I brought it from has a high theft rate and that if I had brought it at Santa Anita (or whatever city) he would have not gotten a approval since he felt okay with that city. Now keep in mind, it was only about a week and I had my receipt. He then went to make remarks about how Fontana is full of shoplifters and that they go to this store to return it. I understand retail and policies but to tell a customer that is uncalled for. I did call and was transferred to several people before speaking to a manager who stated that they will talk to the employee. So now I know that if I return to this location and see John I will walk out if there aren't other employees. But on a good note this store is pretty clean and always seems to have items in stock. Please fix that employee's diarrhea of the mouth, some things should be kept between employees and management. read more

I was at this location last week and was quite pleased with the store itself and the staff. Gina was super friendly and helpful. The store was in a location that had easy parking and the facility was clean. Another staff member happily helped me load the dog crate I bought. When I went back to return a fish tank accessory that I bought, they took it back without a hassle and was advised on what to buy (in this case not by) in order to properly balance the tank. We started bringing our schnauzer here for training. We thought it was going to be impossible to teach her anything since she is 9 years old. But the trainer, Nathan, prove the old saying you can't teach an old dog new tricks is not true. She has learned so much in the past 4 months. She is a completely different dog. We are very happy with Nathan and everything our little girl has learned. read more

Only because it's the closes Pet Store to my home do I shop at this location. But after yesterdays experience, NEVER AGAIN!! The customer service in this store is terrible. The check out line was so slow... the customer in front of me had a simple exchange, same product, same price but the cashier couldn't find a return slip. After checking all the registers, having the manager on duty check the same registers again and of course not finding a return slip they let the customer leave. One problem is that the register was now locked into the return mode and couldn't be used. So I moved to the next register. The customer checking out had several coupons. As the cashier was trying to enter 3 different coupons for the same product, a glitch happened. Once I heard the cashier say to the customer "I'm going to have to void the sale and start over again" I'd had enough! I walked!! 20 minutes in line is bad, really bad. It's Petsmart for me from now on. No matter how much further way the store is. read more

Saturday 12/20/2014 was one of my worst days ever!! Prior to going to the PETCO Groomers on Saturday I called and made an appointment 2days before. I specifically mentioned that my 2 1/2 yr old golden was a Marley x 5 and that he wasn't used to being in a kennel and was also afraid of the blow dryer. Taylor mentioned that it wasn't a problem if so they would call me to go pick up my dog. I get there Saturday afternoon and attempt to drop off Choco with the groomer Ashley, when I already sense that he/she doesn't like her job!! It took 2 of them to try and put my 90 lb golden into the kennel. Seeing the struggle between my dog and groomer was already a sign that it wasn't going to work!! Anyways long story short I will NEVER put my dog through that kind of abuse ever again!!!! Ashley has the WORST customer service ever!!! She needs to NOT be in that type of business. After she had the galls to refuse service on my dog she was very very RUDE!!! Even though I had already made up my mind not to leave my dog there it still upset me on how she treated me. Refusing service on my dog because you feel uncomfortable is fine, I accept that totally!! But don't be RUDE & UGLY about it.... I will NEVER give them another dollar so disappointed now I have to find another place to buy my dogs food and necessities. Only giving it 1 star because it won't let me post! ive been coming to this location for years but recently within the past year or two ive notice some changes in this store. either the staff is not helpful at all or they are over helpful to the point where ou feel like they are trying to make you feel stupid. There is this older man who works in the aquatics section and everytime i try to buy a fish he always has a smartass response like oh well you know i hope you have your tank ready and you shouldnt be buying so many fish at once. He just mad me feel like he was trying to belittle me. and just the other day i asked for help with the rash spray for my dog and the man who always works the cashier mad me feel like i was a bad dog owner; not to mention when i asked him if this particular rash spray was good to use for my dog and he looked at me and said with a smerk, sure why wouldnt it, but i would take my dog to the vet though if she has a rash i wouldnt be buying a spray. i told him i wanted to try a spray first but thats when he told me, well if you had a rash wouldnt YOU go to the doctor so why havent you taken your dog. i was so taken back by his response i didnt even want his help anymore. He mad me feel like a bad doggy mommy. the only word i can think of for him would be ASS! never again will i be going back.They just lost a long time petco shopper. read more
