I absolutely love this grocery store. I've been eating their sushi every day for a week now I also like their Greek pasta salad. Their yellow rice is pretty good and their crunchy pork rin is so good. I really like their olive bar section such a variety to make a Charcuterie board.

Our 9am full "lunch" selection from their salad/meal bar.

On Friday morning, we had to drop off one of our cars for repair. While we were waiting for their phone call back, we came to this place to find some kind of breakfast. Even though we arrived there at 9:10am, i saw this beautiful salad / hot meal bar ready for $9.99/LBs. We were already pretty hungry, so decided to give it a try. First I started picking up lighter foods like salad, but later I found some well cooked meat and rice on display as well. So it did ended up like a big lunch box. Surprisingly, for a hot meal bar, they offer a very good quality. A lot of healthy vegetables, soft and fluffy rice, meat items were hot and tender in your mouth. Absolutely they went way above what I expected. After easily eating them all, we looked around the shop. Some employee was making sushi on the counter, more fresh meals were being carried out of the kitchen. Deli counter, cheese collection, meat products etc, everything looks clean and tidy. They have a good international isle too. It will be fun to try out a lot of stuff for a while. I was impressed with their quality of the foods and excited to look around. I need to give them 5 stars for my visit.

    Welcome

Pete's is a locally owned grocery chain that offers a variety of items. I highly recommend the produce and deli areas. My tip is to check out the unique soda pop in the cooler, my favorite is Filbert's Root beer.

Casher's status is not friendly, very vulnerable to customers. When I don't know but very rude attitude. Never come back again.

Otherwise, it is a decent grocery store, about two miles from my home so I have walked there on occasion. I have my prescriptions filled there, and the pharmacy staff has always been courteous. Sometimes, they are very busy. The produce is good, and when it is in season or on sale is a good deal. The milk is a good price. Otherwise, the Jewel can be rather pricey. Eggs, sausage, and bacon are overpriced. I dislike the digital coupons because they force us to be on our cellphones even more than usual. More steps involved to shop than the old Preferred cards had.

Chronic Lack of Bagging Support For more than three months, I, along with a host of others I have witnessed, have had to bag our own groceries during visits when the front is overwhelmed by more than 2 lines. There is consistently no one available to assist the cashier, or there is a single person attempting to cover multiple lanes. This isn't an occasional staffing hiccup--it has become the norm. 2. Online Order Shoppers Blocking Aisles Another recurring issue is the number of employees shopping for online orders. Their large gray carts are frequently left in the middle of aisles or in the break in the isles at the end caps causing a serious chokepoint, rather than off to the side, creating obstacles and making it difficult for in‑store customers to navigate. Many times, it feels more like an obstacle course rather than a grocery store. 3. Interaction With Assistant Manager Danny When I asked to speak with a manager to share these concerns, Danny initially acknowledged that the store could do better about calling staff up to the front. However, the conversation quickly shifted in an unhelpful direction. Despite never suggesting that online shopping be eliminated, he repeatedly insisted that "this is the way of things now" and emphasized that online orders weren't going away. My actual point--that in‑store customers should not be inconvenienced by poor cart placement or lack of bagging support--was never meaningfully addressed. When I raised the concern that it seemed like the store prioritized online orders over the customers physically shopping in the store (who often spend more per visit), he offered nothing more than a shrug and a half‑smile. That response made it clear that customer experience and retention were not priorities in this discussion. Bottom Line I've been a long‑time Jewel‑Osco customer, but the combination of ongoing operational issues and the dismissive attitude from management has made shopping here increasingly frustrating. I hope the company takes these concerns seriously, because the current approach is pushing loyal in‑store customers away.

My husband shops there at least three times a week, which says a lot about how much we've relied on it over the years. We genuinely like this store, but lately we've noticed a decline in the quality of the produce. Things like tomatoes appearing shriveled or, at times, even moldy. It's disappointing, especially for a place we trust for everyday shopping. I also attempted to place an order for Easter dinner, something we've done many times in the past. Prices have increased quite a bit, so this year I decided to keep it simple and order just the lamb. The online system didn't allow me to select the date I needed, so I called for help. That's where things became frustrating. I spoke with Chef Jose, and communication was difficult. I asked if he spoke Spanish, since it's my native language and I thought it might help. His response felt dismissive, mentioning he speaks Italian and other things, but the interaction itself came across as borderline rude and unhelpful. That impression was later echoed by the front desk, who suggested I contact another chef. Chef Doug, on the other hand, was the complete opposite. Even though we played a bit of phone tag, he consistently followed up with a helpful and kind attitude, which I truly appreciated. Overall, this is still a market we want to love. It has been part of our routine and community. But between the recent produce issues and inconsistent customer service, it has been a bit disappointing compared to what it once was. I'm hopeful they find their way back to the quality and warmth that made them our favorite local market in the first place. BTW, one must place the order all the way to the paying screen to be able to select the desire pick up date.
