TLDR: Fantastic all you can eat Chinese tapas with amazing flavor, fast service, and great value. Come hungry! We came here on a Saturday afternoon for the all you can eat Chinese tapas and were so impressed. My party of two had been to the Peter Chang in Columbia for their all you can eat dim sum and loved it, so we had a feeling this would be another winner. The tapas ends at 3 pm and you get 90 minutes to eat. We arrived around 2:15, so we only had about 45 minutes, but our waitress was amazing. She got dishes out to us super fast and we were able to try almost the whole menu of both tapas and dim sum. Everything came out hot and flavorful. Some of our favorites were the mapo tofu, osmanthus honey pork ribs, salt and pepper shrimp, and Taiwanese fried chicken. Every dish was packed with flavor, spice, and that great numbing heat that Peter Chang is known for. The owner even stopped by to say hi, which was a really nice touch. For $30 per person, this is such a great deal, especially if you come hungry. Overall, we had a fantastic time and can't wait to come back. Highly recommend!

We have always loved Peter changs and now have visited various locations. I think this one hands down has been the best eating and hospitality experience! We opted for the all you can eat tapas experience and I think if you're one who likes to try multiple dishes, this is the way to go! We got to try most of the menu including the dim sum items. When we arrived we were told that both were available until 3 pm despite what the dim sum menu stated so just be aware that you'll have more options to try. My favorites were the Mongolian beef, sweet and sour chicken and osamathus pork rib! My least favorite was the hot and sour soup as it was a bit thin and bland for my personal preference. A honorable mention is the cilantro flounder spring rolls! The staff were also very kind! Jennifer our waitress was super friendly and while she cautioned us initially about how much we were going to order, we may have surprised her for a party of 2. The owner Christine also came by to check in and see how we liked everything. We all chatted for a few minutes and it was such a delightful way to end our meal.

It's exactly the type of chinese food that brings my sister and I back to Texas. It's comforting, it's good, and it's something I'd get consistently-- the lo mein is worth arguing over! Cheers

New years dinner rush was packed at 6:45 pm. The safe was calm and professional and got everyone seated within 15 minutes. The duck and shrimp were both really good and service was friendly and efficient. We will return.

My takeout order was ready exactly when it was advertised, and while it's not super important the person who handed me the order actually made a point of asking how to pronounce my name which was just nice. The restaurant itself looked very comfortable and well decorated, next time I'll have to stay to eat. As advertised, the Szechuan spicing provided a lovely degree of numbing heat that complimented the flavor well. Each dish was packed with flavor, the spicy Dan Dan noodles being a surprising favorite for me, I mopped up every drop of the sauce. Loved having the sesame taro balls for dessert as well. My one callout is that the entrees do not come with rice (as advertised) so we made our own.

What a deal!

I'm far from a vegetarian, but there were so many yummy vegetables when we got the all you can eat tapas here on a Saturday! The bok choy with tofu skin, dry fried eggplant, and especially the vegan cucumber salad (something about that sesame oil!) were amazing. Also enjoyed the shrimp dumplings and Taiwanese popcorn chicken

5/5 food quality 3/5 service 4/5 ambiance 4/5 cleanliness 1/5 value for money 2/5 creativity 2/5 innovation Finally got to check out Peter Chang's latest NoVA restaurant--I believe he has 15+ in his DMV empire. Everything we ordered was really good; however, the overpriced menu is what really irks me, especially charging for rice (not this again...) after charging these ridiculous prices. It's honestly a matter of principal for me. And for that reason alone, we prob will not be returning as we have better things (new experiences) to drop ~$200 on instead of overpriced Chinese food.

If you've been to Mama Chang's, then the menu and food are the same. Generous portion, even the shareable plates. We had SO MUCH food, but ate too fast before pics opportunity. Very fast service and calm ambiance. Clean bathroom!

This is a great place to get takeout if you want something a little different from your typical Chinese late night takeout. The Szechuan flavors through all of the dishes that I got were great. The wings were delicious with some green and chili and Szechuan flavor. The chicken and vegetables were super tasty and good to share, the portion was very generous. The eggplant was also a good starter to share and they weren't too greasy. The sesame bun with taro was a great way to finish the meal. Takeout was quick. Just a heads up you have to order Reiss separately so make sure not to forget it. It does not come with entrées.

If I could add more stars, I absolutely would. Service was exceptional! We had a large group AND it was Mother's Day Sunday. We had to call to request another place setting and the table for us perfectly! Our server was very attentive and we received quick service. Our tea pot stayed full and the table was always filled with food dishes. Everything we ordered was delicious: chicken lettuce wrap, sizzling shrimp dumpling, chili oil shrimp and pork wonton, combination fried rice, 2 whole Peking duck, creamy walnut shrimp, pork soup dumplings, chicken broccoli stir fry, kung pao chicken, and mochi ice creams. We loved some of the dishes so much that we ordered second rounds of them like the dumplings! The ambiance is good for dates, families, lunch and dinner. If you're looking for tasty Chinese food, family style, please make time to come eat here! We are already planning our next visit!

Best Peter Chang restaurant? Best dim sum in NOVA? Best selection in an AYCE mens? Yes, yes, and yes. Our second trip for dim sum was as good as the first. There are over 4 dozen choices on the AYCE dim sum menu, in addition to their a la carte menu. The har-gow and shui-mai are home made, even the wrapper. Some dishes are traditional Cantonese (shrimp dumplings, chicken feet, steamed pork ribs). Some are non-traditional (Taiwanese fried chicken, sweet/sour chicken, Mongolian beef). Others are Peter Chang favorites (dry fired eggplant, scallion pancakes). All are delicious! Our favorites were har-how, Mongolian beef, and shiu-mai. To our surprise, every dish was delicious and worth trying a second or third time. So hard to choose between trying something new or something delicious that already disappeared from the table. Dim sum lovers will enjoy hard-to-find dishes like spicy gizzards, cold tendon, salty egg bao.

We ordered a half of their Beijing duck. There was nothing of the duck leftover between two of us - not a shred of meat nor a single pancake. Their pancakes were super thin and soft - that is a distinguishing feature of their duck. The stir fried pea shoots were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of garlic, and perfectly seasoned. The Beef Chow Fan Noodles were also very good. We also got the Sesame Oil Tofu Skin Salad appetizer, which was also lightly seasoned and not too salty or oily. The interior seating is contemporary and very clean. The service was excellent. We came for lunch on a weekday and were seated immediately.

We came here for the first time and the place was small, but was nice and clean. It felt like NY city where the staff doesn't come around as much unless you put your arm up to get someone's attention. The food wasn't too good. I can just go to another place near me for same type of food.

There is plenty of seating that is spacious and well setup, tables are not squished together where you feel as though you have no space to eat. The restaurant is located in a shopping center with many other retailers, so parking is a non issue. I always appreciate good food that is easily accessible without struggling to find parking while out and about with two young kids. We ordered various items from the menu: - Chicken Leg Noodle Soup - My kids loved this. The soup is flavorful and portions are large so perfect to split among two kids. - Pork Soup Dumplings - Solid option, soup broth inside the dumplings was delicious. - Scallion Pancakes - Deliciously fried to perfection. It comes cut into slices, making it easily shareable for the table. - Cucumber with Garlic - Simple dish, but the garlic sauce really makes it memorable. The staff here were great, they were extra mindful of dish placement near my young kids which I really appreciated. All items came out quickly and just as requested. I have visited other locations throughout the DMV and this location was consistent with what I experienced at other locations... friendly staff and delicious food all at a reasonable price. I would definitely come back again if I was in the area :)

For a self-proclaimed Chinese food snob, that kind of consistency across locations isn't just appreciated -- it's rare. This is the place I bring family and friends visiting from out of town when I need to guarantee both quality and a good time. No hesitation, no asterisks. That's a short list. The menu hits two lanes perfectly: bold, soul-warming noodle soups and dry noodles loaded with zesty mix-ins that slap just as hard. The flounder with sour pickled cabbage noodle soup is the move if you want something that's simultaneously bright, funky, and deeply comforting. The spicy beef brisket in golden soup is pure richness -- the kind of broth you'd drink straight if no one was watching. On the dry noodle side, the Chongqing dry noodles bring the heat and the complexity you want from that style. Don't sleep on the small eats. The scallion pancakes and soup dumplings are legitimately all-star -- not afterthoughts, not filler. One pro tip: pay attention to the rotating specials once you've locked in your favorites. And you will have favorites. Probably after visit one. Casual setting, family-friendly vibe, top-tier food. Yu Noodle earns a permanent spot on the short list.

This place has a robust take-out business (DoorDash drivers running in and out). It's great for foodies, but also a noisy place (not ideal for a first date). Free parking is easy in a strip mall lot in downtown Vienna between the CVS and Giant. On the plus side, it has authentic Szechuan-style dishes, including dried cauliflower (savory blend of flavors with a hint of peppercorn), the baby bok choy with tofu skins (to enjoy and refresh the palate), Lazi Chicken (fried chicken bits with peppercorn), and stir-fry green beans. My sons devoured the Lazi Chicken dish and wished that it had more chicken chunks. Small bowls of white rice are included. They also have American-style Chinese food (e.g., kung-pao chicken) but we only ordered a small number of Szechuan-style dishes. On the minus side, it's a tiny space with a limited number of tables (most accommodate up to 4 people). Noise level is high, but maybe that was because it was Saturday night. Overall, we'll continue to order takeout from this place! But we may visit again during off-peak hours.

Was feeling hangry because I had planned on stopping at Hard Times for a bowl of chili -and found out they were closed on Mondays. So, pretty much pulled a name out of a hat and would up at Chuan Tian Xia because, well, Szechuan cooking uses chiles, no? Yesssss! I ordered Signature Dumplings and a bowl of Beijing-style Beijing-style Zhajiang Noodles. The dumplings were outstanding: a mix of shrimp, pork, and chive that were plump, juicy, fragrant with the herbaceous flavor of chives. The accompanying sauce was not too sweet, not too hot, just right as a complement to the dumplings. Yowza. I was a happy camper... ...and then I dug into my noodles. Double yowza! Thick wheat noodles topped with a rich sauce made from (I think) fermented soybean paste and braised pork belly, garnished with cucumbers. The portion was way to big for me to eat after my flight, but I really, really enjoyed it (and the remaining dumplings) for lunch today. Did I say yowza? I'm an adventurous eater so the menu's less Americanized items were what I would have ordered given more time (like Maoxuewang: can you say "pig's tongue, spam, pork intestine, and beef tripe"? Protein is protein, baby!). Just means I need to come back, and I will, as quickly as I can.
