Without a doubt, the best ride in Disneyland. Quite often the longest line in the park and well deserved. For something so simple, it's a ride that brings out the childhood memories in each of us and that deep-seeded desire to always remain a child. This storybook ride ALWAYS has the longest lines in Disneyland compared to all the other slow rides. It's not especially long at 2 minutes 45 seconds either. However, it's unique in that the track for the ride is located above you, so it's as if you are "flying" (really, suspended) in a pixie-dust sprinkled pirate ship. It also seems to have some rough jolts as it hits turns. (I thought it made the ride seem kind of dated but some may find it thrilling.) One morning, we arrived at the park 15mins early and waited by the castle until they admitted us into the active parts of Disneyland. We reached the Peter Pan ride maaaybe about 5 minutes past opening time and it STILL took us 11 minutes, while many other nearby rides remained nearly line-free for another 10 minutes or so. It's currently under a 4 month refurbishment.. so I hope we see some nice (and much needed) updates! read more

Imagine you are waiting in a line. A long, long, long, long, long line. You finally reach this...pirate ship. You get in it, fly through a window, over London [at night], see about two or three scenes from Peter Pan in Neverland [some pirates fighting, oh look a mermaid!] and then you are abruptly stopped back on planet Earth, specifically outside at Disneyland, and are forced to remove yourself from the motorized pirate ship [NOT COOL]. I love this ride. I love the lighting and the props. *Flying over London is the best part* I unfortunately dislike the long wait for a 2 minute ride. Tip: At night the line for Peter Pan is basically non existent. Two thumbs up. Located in Fantasyland. That's over the bridge, through the castle to your right, then straight on till morning. This is one of my favorite rides in Fantasy Land (alone with Mr. Toad's Wild Ride). Although it is a "kiddy" ride, they did a great job with it. They simulate "flying" as Peter Pan did. It's not a proper visit to Disneyland without a ride on Peter Pan or Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. They are fun and fanciful and absolutely nostalgic rides. One of my favorite rides in Fantasyland! The line does get a bit long with wait times ranging from 20-45 minutes but it goes by pretty fast and is definitely worth the wait. It tells the story of Peter Pan while on a mini pirate ship flying over London and then into Neverland. Anyone who loves the movie will appreciate this ride. I wish it was a bit longer though, since it is a short ride. Don't miss the hidden Mickey on the window of Big Ben as you're turning...make sure to sit on the left side. read more

Best Fantasyland ride. Old school. Classic. Always a long line for this ride so I can't really blame them. Using pirate boats instead of regular buggies/carts is unique and special. Plus the railing is on the top instead of the bottom so it gives you that feeling that you're actually flying. Favorite scene would have to be where you are "flying" over London and seeing all the miniature skyscrapers at night. Beautiful and cute. read more

They did something weird with this ride converting everything to UV lights. It's definitely not the same Peter Pan that I grew up with. Some of the other touches are nice, but I found it really dark and hard to see when we went. The line is still way to long, but if you go early you can catch it at a low point. It seems to stay pretty long all the way up until the park closes, unlike other rides, like the Matterhorn, that you can walk on near park closing. I think people just like this to be their last ride. Still one of the better dark room rides compared to the others in Fantasy Land. read more

You can fly, you can fly, you can fly! Right over the streets of London, pirate ships, etc. This staple of Disneyland is located in Fantasyland, aka, one of the kiddie lands. The line is always long, probably the longest line in Fantasyland. It is dark, so there is an adjustment for your eyes to be able to look down and really see everything. Children will love this ride. Your ship takes off and fits 2-4 people/children. In certain areas, you go down a bit faster, and there is even a rush of wind. Okay, so it is really a breeze, but you get the idea. This is a classic and should not be missed. Walt really captured the fun and thrill of make-believe. read more

Peter Pan is by far the best ride in Fantasyland. The biggest problem that is the wait in line. Have never not had to wait less than 25 minutes to ride this ride. The line winds back and forth in front of the boarding area. Sometimes I've seen the line extend through the castle. When boarding the ride, you board a small ship that flies around. It's a very short ride for how long you wait in line. The right is fantastic. A whole different ride compared to all the other ones at Fantasyland. New wine back and forth over Neverland. Early has a different feel the ship. read more

This ride is classic...and notoriusly long waits in response. I will not wait over 15 mintues for any ride in DL, including this one which is why I aim for it first thing in the morning. The ride is genious and simple. The London scence is stunning and I feel like I have stepped into the magic while flying overhead. This is a must do for every trip! read more

This is probably the most popular ride in all of Fantasyland for good reason. The ability to fly has captured the imagination of kids and adults alike. What strands out about this ride is not only is it the story of Peter Pan, but the feeling that you are in fact flying above London. Flying ships! What's more magical than flying over a Disney version of London city? :D Peter Pan's Flight usually has the longest line out of all the little Fantasyland character rides, but it's the most worthy and dazzling one. You ride over the whole setting from a "hang glider" rather than the usual rail on the floor...I thought this was really cool -__- I highly suggest to ride it even if you think it's too childish for you. I was 22 when I first rode it and it was amazing. It's now under my DL Waits on my iPhone app--that's how good it is. read more

Let me start by saying that there is usually always quite a bit of a wait for this ride, but it is sooo worth it. Please don't let a long line intimidate you to not go on, because you'd be missing out big time! This is one of those rides that never gets old. A true classic in Fantasyland. This attraction always stuck out to me since I was a child, and I'm sure that if you ask the majority of children what ride they like the best they would put Peter Pan in their top 3 for sure! I love how they made this so magical in every way possible. From the little sailboats you board, to the music they play, to the twinkling lights to represent the city of London at night that you "fly" over on your little sailboat; It really does look like a real city though. They did a great job at capturing all the right elements from the actual movie! Just like most of the amazing Disneyland attractions, when you are on Peter Pan you feel as though you're in a whole other world, it really is magnificent. Even being in my 20's now, I never skip the rides in Fantasyland, and I don't even have a child to go on with, just my boyfriend and I ;) I never feel "too old" in fantasyland, I love letting my inner child come out and play when I'm here. :) read more

More than 20 years ago I sat on this very ride flying through the night's sky with father by my side. It was magical then, it remains to be magical still. I can clearly recall the feelings of nervousness of being lifted in the air, calmed by my daddy's presence... yes, yes, definitely a special ride for as far as memories go. I cant recall how long the wait time was when I was a kid, I cant even recall a line!! hhh. But now that I'm older and am bringing my own kid to the DL park, I can tell you if you if you go during the slow season you might not have to wait at all!! My family of 3 got to walk right on with a ZERO minute wait. The Kid has never seen the movie Peter Pan and yet I think this was one of his favourite rides in the whole park. He kept exclaiming with a big dopey smile , "I'M FLYING!! I'M FLYING!! MOMMA WOOK, I'M FLYING!!" He was so excited to point out the stars, moons and little houses.... and laughing at Smee and Capt Hook trying to escape the crocodile. Classic Ride. Awesome memories. The wait is always horrendous for this ride for some reason. It is such a quick ride but it is worth it. But, now that I'm getting older and no kids, I don't have to go on it as much. This is the best ride in Fantasyland, in my opinion. Today was the first time going on the Peter Pan Flight (unless I went on when I was very little. In that case, I dont remember.) The wait was 20 minutes, compared to other rides today... it felt really long. We fly over london! That's super amazing... I was amazed while we flew over London.... it felt like I was really flying. All the lights, like I was in the sky with the stars. It felt magical. The ride was very short though. Why isnt it longer, I would like to fly too! read more

Worst cast member service ever! Walt Disney is quaking in his grave at the service of the cast members on this attraction. This ride usually has a long wait time and the cast members treat you like trash, when they should be treating you with respect due to the amount of money the guests have paid to be there. On this ride right after we got on the ride the ride shut down and we were still on the ground and could have easily gotten out, but they didn't let us. Then my grandma started to have leg cramps for being stuck in the ride for so long even though we could have easily gotten out. Then the ride worked and we went through the ride with the lights on and they didn't let us go through with the lights off to get the whole experience. They didn't give us a fast pass or anything. They just acted theatrically cranky. It was unbelievable. read more

As you climb higher and higher into the thin air above London, the rooftops, streets and shimmering Thames river grow smaller and smaller below you. As distant stars twinkle above, you glide over majestic Big Ben and the lights of London recede into the night. You arrive over Never Land island surrounded by a dancing sea of stars. Slowly making your way down, you see lush tropical forests, iridescent waterfalls, simmering volcanoes and the foreboding Skull Rock. It's a high-flying adventure you'll never forget! read more

Great for the kids! One of Disney's coolest dark rides. Pirates has their boats in the water, Peter Pan has your boat take flight! There is usually a line for this one but look for times when parades, fireworks, etc are going on, or if it is late and most of the kiddies are asleep, and you'll get through quick! read more

THE Classic of Classics! One of Walts originals. Walt wanted a quiet 'flight' so he had rubber wheels put on the over head track. This ride is a blink of an eye, and always a long line. We have been luck enough to have some Cast Members do some nice things for us and walk us on several times. I love this and it is my Brides favorite! Peter Pan is by far one of the top three must ride Disneyland rides whenever I'm at the park. "Flying" over London and Never Land makes the 40 minute wait in line well worth it. If you asked me, I would only give this ride a 3. It's kinda cheesy, as are most of the rides in Fantasy Land. I like the flying aspect, and it gets points for creativity. But the line is always horrendous -- no matter what time of day or night, or day of the week. And for as long as you wait, the ride is over much too fast, and it's not quite dark enough, which takes away some of the magic. Buuuuttt... the kids go absolutely nuts for it. And they would definitely give it a 5. So, there you go -- a 4 it is. P.S. When you're waiting in line, be sure to keep an eye on the castle across the way. The wicked witch likes to make an appearance now and then ;-) Gives you something fun to do while waiting in this awful claustrophobic cattle-style line. read more

Yes it's a bit old fashioned. And no, there's no coaster part or target shooting or sudden drops of several stories. But that's ok. This ride shows Walt Disney's genius. There is no computer animation or Hollywood effects. It was just imagination meets a bit of technical know how. So get back in line, wait your turn, and enjoy the flight. read more

My wife and 2 year old daughters favorite ride! This is one of the "older" rides, but it is a must see for kids of all ages. The lines are usually bearable and much of the line is covered which is nice on the summer afternoons. On this ride you sit in a little Pirate Ship and "soar" over many of the environments from the Peter Pan story. This is a lot of fun, even for the young ones that have not read or seen peter pan yet! read more

I LOVE Peter Pan's Flight. Yes, the line is long as hell. Yes, the line is completely out of control. Yes, it seems ridiculous to wait 50 minutes for a ride that lasts about a minute. But this ride is worth it to ride at least one time while you are at Disneyland. This ride really feels like you have been transported to Neverland! You fly through the air in your pirate ship, passing over London and then into Neverland itself (my favorite parts of the ride - in the dark with the stars and the beautiful scenery of Neverland). It's simply gorgeous inside this ride and it really follows along well with the story of Peter Pan. This is a great ride for kids and adults alike and is definitely worth the wait. read more
