They've revamped this ride, it's darling, one of my favorites in fantasy land. Now worth the line wait.

Many people say this is the best ride at Disneyland! It takes you on a wooden ship flying through neverland and the experience mixes feeling closeup with feeling elevated. It is definitely a classic, although it does smell like baby powder often. read more

Date of most current visit: June 23, 2018 Out of all the "dark" rides in Fantasyland, Peter Pan's Flight always has a long line out the door (about at least 45-60 minutes on any given weekend). As the wait time was 30 minutes (!) while we were walking through the area, and it had been far too long since we'd ridden it, my girlfriend and I figured, "Why not?" Basically, you're seated in a suspended pirate ship that "flies" across the night skies of London and Never Never Land - the last time we'd ridden it, the Never Never Land rooms were lit up, so it was a bit surprising to see them so... dark. Still, seeing the volcano at night was a nice touch, and the figures of Peter Pan, Hook, Wendy, and the kids are still fun to look at. Despite the short length of the ride - about a little over two minutes - Peter Pan's Flight is definitely the best of the "dark" rides at Disneyland. This was our last ride of the day, and it was such a good feel good ride to go on to end the day with! I felt like out of all the staff working at the rides, these staffs were the friendliest! I don't remember this ride being so cute! You fly over the city of London which is super teeny tiny and lit up. Then you do the same through the magical Neverland. The scenes from the cartoon were pretty nostalgic. Wasn't really into Peter Pan as a kid, but this was still quite a treat! read more

One of the better theme rides. I loved the 3D illusions and is very gentle as you "fly" over miniatures of London and Neverland. The line goes quicker than most rides yet is often longer for a reason. It's a goodie. Fantasyland's most fun, but among some classics, like Snow White and Mr. Toad. read more

This is one of my favorite rides at the park. I haven't been here in like 10 years, and it's even more magical that I remember. Wait is SUPER long, so try to go early in the morning, or at night before they close for the fireworks. GET the Disney play app while waiting with a group! It was a fun game, as it had question activities that helps you get to know your friends a lot more. Honestly good for adults too! You also get to unlock an interactive lamp in line that can only be opened via the app. I thought it was so cool! It made me and so many others go crazy and made the line bearable! THIS WAY TO NEVERLANDDD!!! My friend and I came here because we are musical theatre geeks so duh Peter Pan for the win! The only part that we didn't like about this was the line. Sadly, it did not have a fastpass, so you have to get here early if you don't want to wait in the long lines. We came here in the afternoon on a Saturday and the line was about 45 minutes wait. Not bad for Disneyland on a weekend, but still pretty long. This ride is super creative. You first board a mini ship which takes you to the story. I loved when we were "flying" above the stars. It was really creative and fun. During the ride, me and my friend were belting out Peter Pan songs. I LOVED how cute it was!!! In my opinion, this is the best ride in Fantasy Land, but be prepared to wait... Pros: - You get to sit in a flying ship rather than those buggies like the rest of Fantasy land! It's a neat experience! - There's a part where you're flying in the air and there are stars all around you! - Peter Pan is so much fun! Cons: - This ride is possibly about 60 seconds - The wait time is consistent and the longest in Fantasy land ( usually 45 minutes) - They have this rainbow in one of the rooms that looks like paper (you'd think with the amount of money Disney has, they'd upgrade this?). My daughter loves peter pan and has a crush on wendy! Although I am letting her explore her sexuality I am not inclined to explore neverland ever. again. The lines were so long and I ate a pickle beforehand so I was extremely thirsty! When we FINALLY got onto the ride the boat started floating! And I am scared of heights! Another of the "I didn't know this had a Yelp listing". Although I've been on nearly every ride in the Mouse House, this is the dark ride we all went on as a family of three. The Disneyland dark rides give the highlights of the stories you've grown up with. Same with Peter Pan. And unlike the other dark rides, this track is, and always has been since 1955, above your vehicle and not below, so you truly are flying through the ride. I was impressed with the detail in the sets, so much detail that you cannot take it all in even with four rides. You fly over London, the mermaid lagoon, and get a glimpse of the swordfight between Peter and Captain Hook. I don't know if they used the actual soundtrack from the cartoon, but the voices sure sounded like Bobby Driscoll and Hans Conried. (LONG line, and after waiting for 45 minutes at 11:30 on a spring Saturday, we knew it was time to go to Denny's. But Alice and the Mad Hatter came by and did a little show, and the girl and I were able to get out of line, enjoy the antics, and get back into line. I danced with Alice, yay.) Okay for men (like me), cute for women, and the kids love it. I'd rather have ridden Mister Toad, but this was the girl's trip, and she chose Peter Pan, so there you go. read more

This is a classic attraction/ride that has been around forever. The ride itself is pretty good, and very cute. I think the best part is that you get to ride in your own flying pirate ship, just like in Peter Pan, especially when you are flying over the tiny building in the night sky. There is not too much excitement or thrill within this attraction/ride, but it can be kinda scary if you are afraid of heights. The ships do not seem super study and you are floating/hanging in the ship. Peter Pan's Flight usually has a CRAZY wait of 60minutes+, and I do not think it's worth that waiting time, and are no FastPasses. read more

I still don't understand why this line is ALWAYS so long! If you don't get in line for this ride when the park opens, expect to be in line for at least 30 - 40 minutes on a good day. Moreover, you need to anticipate getting on this ride on a day in which the park opens at 8:00 because less people are willing to arrive at the park at the crack of dawn. Honestly, I ended up on Peter Pan's Flight because Disneyland experienced massive power outages today due to high winds. Many of their popular attractions were down today! Therefore, I was killing some time as I waited to use my fast pass for Star Tours which by the way, was DOWN when I arrived at that attraction too! Anyway, I digressed a bit but let me get back to good ol' Peter! This attraction is different from others in Fantasyland because you aren't following a track that is built into the floor. Instead, you are elevated above Nerverland and you feel like you are soaring above it all! It is different from other rides in Fantasyland and this may be the reason for the mass appeal to people of all ages. There are smooth turns at times BUT it can be a bit jerky too. read more

Such a classic! Wait times can be ridiculous but I LOVE it. During the ride you flyover an array of scenes. No fast passes available. This ride is truly for people of all ages. My recommendation is riding this ride as soon as possible as throughout the day the line only gets longer and longer (as it is extremely popular). The ship itself is a bit small we broke our party of 6 into 3 groups of two. The ride itself is short if I'm honest. It doesn't encapsulate a majority of the movie. My favorite part is flying over London. The ride is located in Fantasy Land and no height requirements for this ride. It is dark throughout the ride. Peter Pan is just like me- I refuse to grow up and love spending my time as an adult with no children at Disneyland! Definitely a nice ride and completely worth doing on your trip to Disney. read more

This was my favourite ride that was based of one of the classic animated Disney movies. As with all the rides, they do a great job making it feel really and magical like you're actually there. You can't use genie plus for this one, and it was around a 30-40 minute wait every time we checked the app, so you might wanna go on this one early in the morning or late at night while the parade's going. Also, a lot of today's kids won't have seen the movie, so it might make it more exciting to them to show them scenes from the movie first. read more

A ride with a unique vessel (flying ship that hangs from a rail) and a very pretty opening scene but is super short. I was actually shocked when the final door opened up back to the entrance. I'd really only recommend waiting in a 30min+ line if Peter Pan is one of your favorites or you have nothing else lined up. The good thing is that the line for this ride is Disney Play app supported so kids and adults can distract themselves. It's a scavenger hunt for clues and it's not super obvious so don't expect to get it all right away. There's also a really neat "prize" for completion. We didn't actually play but the people in front of us were so we got to reap the benefits of all of their work. read more

Whenever I get the chance to ride this ride, I am literally pulled into the story since the scenes and the characters were recreated beautifully. My favorite part is when we get to fly over the city and if you look closely at Big Ben, you will be able to see Mickey Mouse's shadow on the clock face :) There are so many things to look at while you fly through Neverland, so make sure to keep on the lookout for other surprises along the way! One of the most popular rides in Disneyland. I highly recommend it! If you've seen Peter Pan, this ride does it justice. First of all, you're flying so that just makes this ride awesome. I mean yes, there's one part where you think you're going to break the ride leaning forward looking at everything beneath you, but it's so worth it! Lines are ALWAYS long for this ride. Your best bet is to maximize magic morning or right when the park opens. I've tried going at the end of the night but the lines are just as long as during the day. read more

We go to Disneyland every year and this ride is always a must hit. It's by far the best ride in Fantasy Land, but it also has the longest line so go early or late. At the height of the busy time you will wait an hour and 70% of the time you are in the direct sunlight. As for the actual ride, it is a short jaunt through several rooms. You fly through a bedroom, over Neverland and then past a few fight scenes with Captain Hook. It takes about 3-4 minutes to ride, but it's worth the wait, especially when compared to the other short Fantasy Land rides that are not nearly as unique as this one. read more

I tried waiting in line for this ride once but it had technical difficulties so I got out of line and didn't try again until later that night when it did work properly and I got to ride it then. Anyway, I have not been on this ride since I was a little kid and they made some nice changes to it in recent years, like updated and more colorful lighting on the sets and animatronics. Unlike the other Fantasyland dark rides which go along a track on the ground, the car is instead suspended from a rail in mid-air to give the appearance of flying like the characters in the movie. Some of the sets look beautiful, especially the one where you circle around Neverland (see attached picture) and the updated lighting really adds to their liveliness. Many of the animatronics aren't the most advanced by today's standards and are mostly still figures that move around ever-so-slightly, but this ride is an opening day attraction that's been around since 1955 so that can be easily forgiven. It's also a very short ride, probably less than two minutes long in total, which gives it less of a payoff after the relatively long line (usually the longest in the Fantasyland area), but what you do see is still very cool to look at regardless. Definitely fun for the whole family and you can see why it's still popular after all these years. read more

I like this ride, I really do. But so does everyone else and their relatives which makes this one of the most grueling lines in all of Fantasyland. But this line pulls in the crowds because kids and adults just have mad love for setting sail on that pirate ship and taking off over the skies of London and jet setting to Never Never Land. Now, don't take my three stars as I don't like the ride because I do in fact get a kick out of it. I love the colors, the black lights, the little town below. This is one that if you are visiting you will want to check out for sure. My advice is if you can get to the park before it opens, make a dash to this ride first and get it out of the way. Or wait till almost closing time and hope that everyone else doesn't have the same idea. While this isn't my favorite ride in Fantasyland it would rank in my top three. I mean let us be honest, Mr. Toads is the best ride and its right next door. But who doesn't love seeing Captain Hook get tormented by Tick Tock Croc, and don't we all have a little Peter Pan complex in us all because who really wants to grow up? CHEERS!!!! read more

One of my favorite rides growing up is Peter Pan. I loved "flying" over the houses and seeing the stars. Since I memorized every scene from the animated film, I was always excited to see everything on the ride. My major complaint for this ride (as with other rides) is the line. They had to extend the ropes to accommodate all the visitors. Normally the wait for this ride is half an hour. They don't have fast pass. It's the first ride on the right side when you walk through Sleeping Beauty's castle. From the line you can see the carousel and the band that plays on the carousel. read more

Ok finally after they reopened this ride i got on it. First off I don't understand why this is the longest line in Fantasyland. Second from what i remember what has really changed in this ride seems all there from before maybe more modern lights or LEDs being used the ride you still are elevated up like you're flying. My family and I have always enjoyed this ride located in Fantasyland. My daughter has never seen the movie, but loves the fact that we board a pirate ship that sails off magically from London into the sky to Peter Pan's Neverland. She does recognize Captain Hook from her Disney's Little Einstein shows, so she looks for him throughout the ride. I love the twinkling stars set as the backdrop when you first step into Neverland. It's so wonderfully mystical. My only gripe about this ride is that it's very short and for some reason it tends to break down A LOT. We've had it break down twice while we were standing in line and twice while we were on the ride itself. We were trapped at the rides highest point in the dark for at least 15 - 20 minutes while they worked out the kinks. Thankfully my daughter (a two-year old at the time) was able to sit and wait patiently without much complaints. We could hear the echoes of other unhappy kids around us voicing their concerns. Then since we were the last or second to the last riders to board we were taken throughout the entire ride with the lights on as they off loaded everyone and tried to figure out the problem. That definitely took away from the magic and mystery of the ride, but it's still one of my daughter's favorites in Fantasyland. It's apparently everyone's favorite as well because they always seem to have a 35 - 40 minute wait no matter how busy the park is. Forget waiting in line on their peak busy days because you'll be in line for almost an hour. Definitely worth the wait at least once while you're visiting Disneyland. read more

Located in Fantasyland, Peter Pan takes you along on a flight to Never Never Land! This was the last night of the day (after 16 hours) and we were oh so very tired. But there's always time to play in Never Never Land! The line wasn't moving when we first got there. Why? It was broken down ): Dawww. Side Note: this was the first time I went through the castle. I didn't know it was walk throughable! Another side note: someone got engaged here. Apparently she said yesss :3 Anyways after waiting around 45 minutes (yes there were a lot of people), this ride was a great fit to end the day. It took you to a world where dreams come true, where you got tired and sleepy in the bedroom and wanted to just take a nap. Huzzah! After waiting in a line that's far too long, we board our flying ships and wait to start flying (Unless you're freaking Ben who starts panicking because he's worried that this is gonna be Silver Bullet at Knott's. I'm not joking, that was freaking hilarious.) Eventually, we take off and enter the nursery. We then start to soar over London with the song "You can fly!" playing in the background. This is cool since it's really dark in there and it makes it look like we're flying. After realizing that Tatsu at Magic Mountain gives the feeling of flight better, we fly over Big Ben where we see Peter and the gang landing on the clock. Eventually, we reach "the second star to the right and straight on until morning" when we finally reach Neverland. When we reach Neverland, we fly over the Mermaid Lagoon, Captain Hook's ship, and an active Volcano. We then fly past skull rock where we see Peter and Captain Hook have their "epic showdown." After flying past them, we fly past some Indians who greet us before seeing that Peter Pan has taken over Hook's ship and that Hook is trying to avoid Tic Toc. We then fly past the Mermaid Lagoon where we see Peter flying away on the new ship that he got from playing Grand Theft Auto. Overall, this ride is really fun. It's also really cool since it gives you the feeling of flight, plus Disney has continuously updated the ride to keep it up to high standards. So would I reccomend it? Despite all of my praise for it, the answer varies. Although this is a very fun ride. The line for this thing can get long, REALLY LONG. It's not Disney's fault, but the ride's capacity does suck pretty bad since it doesn't seat that many people per boat. Plus it doesn't offer FastPass which makes it hard to get on. So despite it being fun, it's simply not worth the 40-60 minute line it usually gets, that time is best spent on Space Mountain or Indiana Jones. However, if the line isn't that bad then I highly reccomend riding it as it's a classic with a nice charm to it. If you want to avoid waiting in line, GET ON IT EARLY! By far one of my most favorite rides. Don't get discourage because of the long line. It just looks long because unlike most rides the line forms outside. Making it an illusion. Peter Pan's Flight is badass. Compared to the terrifying Snow White ride and the creepy Alice in Wonderland ride, this one is peaceful and pleasant. I don't think I'd ever been on this ride until recently, because I bet every time my fam went to DLand when I was little, the line was super long like it always is. I always got forced to ride Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, and that was lame. Basically this ride consists of flying over London in your magical, flying ship, and then a little bit of storybook like the rest of the Fantasyland rides, as you fly over Mermaid Lagoon, etc., etc. It's half in the dark cause cause you're takin' a nighttime flight at first to get to Neverland. It's extremely short just like all the other rides too, but I think the line's worth riding at least once. It was super cute the way they make the ships kind of float up and down, instead of being stuck to a track underneath. Like a reindeer in the sky... you can fly, you can fly, you can fly! read more

The stellar reviews for this ride amazes me. If this ride had only a 5 min wait, then cool, I'd give it 3.5 stars. But really? 60+ min waits? In the hot sun? We decided to get in line about 30 min before closing. Yet the line was still 30 min. Did it anyway. The line doesn't actually look long until you start to a link your way through the maze. And they seriously make these things for 100 lb teenagers. Anyway, this ride took about 125 seconds. After waiting in line for about an hour, totally not worth it. read more
