I love how fast their service is. But i feel like it's very over priced and a lot of the time not consistent

Did not enjoy the steak tip salad. It was not medium well as I requested and had some kind of sweet marinade that made me feel sick. However, because the staff was so friendly and prompt, I would consider trying a different item in the future. read more

I used to love Pete's A Place. I don't know why they've changed though. i'm a regular customer and go out of my way from my job to there just to get food. Recently they've been messing up my order and making it seem as if it's my fault. The receipt clearly says the order that I got and then when I open up the bag it's not what I ordered. They're customer service is horrendous. The customers whoever I was talking to was not being understanding at all that it's not a close drive to go back and forth for there mistake. I literally heard the chef say he made the mistake and he was still telling me to never come there again. 100% don't recommend read more

I wanted to update my review. Have been ordering from Petes a place lately and its been great. Steak tips are good and taste like they always did. Im guessing i got a different batch of beef those times i ordered and thought they tasted different. Not sayin they changed anything just mayb it was a diff cow... not sure.?? In any case we are still ordering and the food is great. Also wanted to comment that the delivery drivers are always very nice. Worst customer service. I made an online order for Caribbean pizza and I added 2 extra toppings. For my small pizza I paid 25 dollars with delivery. They did not put 2 toppings on my pizza. I called the next day and was told nothing could be done. That I should have reported the food the same day as delivery, but I explained that i got the food less then 10 min before closing time. So by the time I realized the food was wrong nothing could be done. The steak fries are horrible, they come soggy. read more

Ordered a simple chicken quesadilla and when I received it it came in a puddle of diced up BBQ chicken and soupy cheese. I called to complain and they wouldn't refund for the meal and they only offered me to order something else (which at that point I lost my appetite). The owner on the phone seemed irritated and annoyed that we were calling to complain huffing and puffing on the other side of the phone... won't be ordering food from this location again. read more

I've tried the roast beef sub, giro sandwich, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings here. Roast Beef was excellent. The Giro sandwich had a little too much spices in it, you could hardly taste the lamb. The mozzarella sticks were weird and were fried in a batter that almost made them taste like they were hidden inside of a strange doughnut. I'm not a fan of those, and I love mozzarella sticks, and have tried many variations. Also, they have a lunch special for $1 more you can get a can of soda and chips. Who ever rang me up last time rang me up incorrectly. They rang me up instead for a $1.20 can of soda. Not a big deal, but they should not be making this mistake. read more

I ordered a Greek wrap (lettuce, tomato, olives, feta) and they forgot the olives. They also put the dressing on the side rather than inside the wrap? I called to see if they could send another one and at first the person who answered the phone said yes, then put the phone down and came back to tell me that he could send a driver with just olives in 40 minutes or credit me back. Instead of waiting 40 minutes just for olives I asked for a credit, which apparently means mention it "next time". Definitely won't order from a place like this again, horrible customer service. read more

I have always used them and have never had a bad experience. For at least 6 years once a month minimum we have ordered as have the rest of my family members. Two nights ago i ordered a calzone and fry at 9:03 on the dot they said 30-35 minutes 40 minutes passed i figured I'd call just to make sure they got the address correct and not lost. They assured me it would be 5-6 minutes. Very nice conversation. I then called back 15 minutes later since they were about to close and it's been 10 minutes longer then they said wanted to just check on the driver out of worry him being lost or if something happened. The gentleman on the phone said "this is what happens when you place a order for delivery in the last hour" and that the man was 2 minutes away now. I ended it nicely and "told him he didn't need to be rude i was calling out of concern and not giving him a attitude by any means but that due to his comment he's lost our families business because if you don't want deliveries that late then do not accept them in the last hour" 9 minutes after i got my food he called me yelling at me telling me he works hard for a good reputation and doesn't appreciate me calling and he just went off on the phone then my s/o took the phone and calmly asked him why he was screaming at me that he didn't need to call back and he continued to go on and on and wouldn't give us the owners name. read more

I have been ordering the veggie pizza from here for years and it is always loaded with cheese and veggies (to be specific, cheese, tomatoes, onions, red peppers, olives, broccoli, mushrooms and spinach). I never eat mushrooms or olives, but I do when I eat their veggie pizza because it all tastes so good I don't notice the mushrooms or olives. My family also loves their bianco pizza (cheese, spinach, garlic, chicken and feta cheese). Their prices are average and the place is very clean. Definitely give their pizza a try. read more

Amazing pizza!!! Since my first visit I have gotten pizza 4 more times here and super yummy everytime. Ive also had their greek salad really good and I tried a chocolate chip cookie and a blondie both delicious. If fat and calories didnt count I would order this pizza much more often. read more

We love Pete's. We have been ordering from them for about 2 years. They always repeat your order back to you on the phone to ensure it's right. Delivery time very quick unless there's a big game on which is understandable. We love the buffalo chicken calzone, the barbeque calzone with a side of buffalo sauce is the perfect combo. The pizza crust is very tasty and has a nice crunch to it. Overall they have great prices, a huge selection, and we've never had anything we didn't like. read more

I've been going to Petes-a-Place since I moved to Peabody in March. I'm not a big fan of many pizza and sub shops in this area, but this place impresses me. They put decent quality steak in their steak and cheese subs, and the pizza is pretty decent too. They do lose a star for two reasons. As with almost all the other delivery mom and pop shops in the area they close pretty early. Also almost all non pizza food only comes in one size, which I like to call "medium". read more

It deserves zero stars!!! The pizza is AWFUL, HORRIFIC, PUTRID!!!!! I can eat a variety of pizzas and put them in context: dominoes is what it is, as is most chain pizza. This pizza was horrible! First of all, it was Greek style, cake crust that was sweet--that is not pizza!!!! Secondly, the sauce was actually sweet. I ordered it with company over, and EVERYONE had the same reaction: sweet, no flavor, and soggy!!!! It was like eating ragu on sponge cake. The small pizza is small like a personal pan pizza not much for sharing. The pizza was kind of under cooked and soggy.

I've been to Pete's a Place on several occasions and overall their food is solid. One of the items that I am in LOVE with is their steak tip pizza- which I think I've ordered a 100 times! It's absolutely delicious I will say that the location itself is well kept- it's clean and the service is really friendly. Otherwise it's just a typical decent sub shop. Favorite place to order from! Pretty much everything we have tried there has been really good. Love the pizza, steak tips are awesome and love the variety of the menu however, I will not order the chicken...I love chicken kabob and grilled chicken but from here it is grey in color and just super unappetizing. Phone ordered steak tip dinner, medium, with skinny fries as a substitute for steak fries and a salad with feta cheese and onions. Total was around $16. As a woman was ringing me up another guy handed me the bag. I asked him for an extra salad dressing and he sort of begrudgingly headed for a fridge. As the woman was handing me the change she informed me she would need to charge me for that. I heard what she said but I said "what" anyways and she said she would have to charge me for the extra dressing. I thought this was silly but was thinking maybe they give you quite a lot so I calmy said to forget it then. She told the guy who was getting it that I didn't want it anymore but by this point I can see it, and it's a very normal sized, small, plastic cup. So I said to the woman, "you really need to charge me for THAT?" She didn't have an immediate answer and a third guy came over and just said to take it and not worry about it. Steak was cooked well and of decent quality, flavor was average. Salad was good. Skinny fries (normal fries as opposed to steak fries) were soggy and flavorless. Absolutely dreadful. There's a place like this every few miles in this area. No reason to return here for average to below average food and to argue over 3 tablespoons of salad dressing. read more

Food and prices are average, not bad at all but nothing to rave about. Doesn't hold a candle to Brothers on Foster st. See a few people bragging about the pizza. If your a fan of "greek" style pizza, its good but italian pies are the only way to go. Normally would give this place 3 stars(average) but found a sliver of metal in my pastrami sandwich and cut up the inside of my mouth , they are very lucky I didn't break a tooth. Showed them the sliver of metal with a piece of pastrami still stuck to it and was told they were sorry. I didn't ask for anything free and didn't want it since you couldn't pay me to eat here again but the offer would have been nice and showed they actually cared. read more

as far as pizza & sub shops go, you can't really get much better. delivery is fast and prices are fair. the pizza isn't bad, especially if you like a sweeter sauce. they also have really good french fries. but its main attraction, for me, would have to be their buffalo chicken. side, sandwich, sub, its all delicious. their buffalo chicken and blue cheese are unlike any i've had before (and believe me, thats saying something!) so if you've never tried it, it is definitely worth it!!! hope pete's a place doesn't go anywhere anytime soon! read more

Overcharged me twice! The workers are incompetent and have no idea how to use the software (and I am not talking about new workers). I had to go back after ordering two pizzas due to the overcharge, which was detected upon my arrival home. When I came home the second time and did the math once more to make sure I got the right amount back, they charged me over 7% for taxes. Unless Pete's A Place does not fall under the states' regulation for taxes, which is 6.25% I got ripped off. It's not about the few dollars that I lost as much as it is about the poor service and workers/managers who do not know how to use a calculator and the software. Very disappointed. read more
