This place is a hidden Gem off Loop 494. Small place but the food is amazing. Had the Double Cheeseburger with Fries and drink. Do Not forget to ask for gravy on your fries. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Had me the Swiss burger...was good and onion rings as well....fair priced and friendly service.

When I got there I was greeted in and I told the lady at the front it's my first time and she explain the specials they had that day and what I would prb like she was so sweet I like being in a smaller shack, really makes me feel like it's one of those local joints that everybody goes I really liked the atmosphere! When I say I got full I got FULL the burger was big,juicy and the fries crispy just right the decoration inside the burger joint was really cool I was looking at all the frames and stuff while I was waiting for my food. Only thing I would want more would be just to add a little bit more seasoning on the burger overall 9.7/10

Pete's is the only restaurant that I know of in the Humble/Kingwood/Porter area that pleases everyone in my family. Not an easy thing to do. The food always taste fresh and taste pretty good. We have never had a bad meal. They are super affordable and not overpriced the way most restaurants are in this area. If you have a big family this place is your best bet. Please don't change a thing Pete's. Kingwood has always been restaurant challenged, but you are proof that if you love what you do you can make a restaurant out here work. read more

Pretty good burgers. I enjoyed the mushroom and swiss, which came out piping hot and very satisfying. I also enjoyed the fried pickle spears (I've never had them that way before). Nothing in particular really stood out to me, but it was quite good nonetheless. read more

Stopped here today for the first time and we will be back. Burgers are good size, juicy (not smashed and incinerated) and reasonable priced. A cheeseburger, fries and soda was $7.98 and you can't beat that. One other thing... the place is clean. No sticky tables or chairs and the bathroom was very clean. This is what a small town, roadside restaurant should be like... friendly people, good food, reasonable prices. read more

Found this place after looking for four BBQ places( that yelp recommended) that did not exist! Was pleasantly surprised and satisfied. I had a good ole bacon cheese burger. The bun was perfectly toasted. The patty was fully cooked yet still juicy. Had thick bacon and cheese. The fries it came with were plain but still better the big fast food. Will be the only burger I eat in this area ever again! read more

This place is awesome. We have lived in Kingwood for 3 years now and kept wanting to go, finally did. The locals were right. The food is amazing. The burgers are thick and juicy, the fries are crispy and tasty, but if I had any complaints it would be the breaded menu items (i.e. onion rings) are kinda greasy. It's not a cheap place to eat though. Our tab for 3 burger combo meals was over $27. read more

We had to wait awhile to get the food-which I didn't mind at first. By the time we got home. The burger I asked for-I did not receive. I purposefully got a burger that doesn't even come with cheese. Yet somehow it was drenched in it, which I hate. As for the actual burger- they dumped all the ingredients in the to go box. It looked more like a soggy sloppy joe salad burger just thrown together. UNEATABLE!! read more

I absolutely LOVE this place. Great customer service who will know you after one visit there. I love the cheeseburger here and if you don't feel like a burger try their Chicken Fried Steak Sandwich, it is to die for. Their skillet gravy with fries are also great. My family go here a ton and I would be there all the time if I had the choice all the time. Hahaha read more

If someone didn't tell me to stop by, I probably would not have based on the outside. It looks like a total dive. But they have the best service. And the food is great too. Pete (real name Greg) is super attentive. Wants the experience to be great. Food will take a little more time than you expect in fast food....because they make it fresh. Yes, fresh. One of the co-owners, Robert, took our order. He was super friendly. While eating we heard him talking to the staff in the back, and you can tell they all liked each other. The restaurant was spotless. I didn't go to the bathroom, but judging by the restaurant and what you can see of the kitchen, I'm going to assume it was also clean. I like knowing he used certified angus for the burgers. You can taste a difference. He also uses a local baker for the buns, and sources other things locally as well. I would definitely eat here again any day.

The lady standing there said I don't want my food because I don't like the way your talking to her. Then he tells me he has to call someone to send my refund and I told him I'm not leaving until I get something in writing. He is steady yelling and I'm telling to please just give me a refund so I can go. I say this to say you are very rude and disrespectful and I will NEVER patronize your business. Learn how to be respectful and how to talk to people and you may have more business. Last but not least if you eat from there stand there and watch how he makes your food. When I seen the two balls of ground beef just sitting there while making other food was appalling that meat should have been kept in the refrigerator until he was ready to use. Watch who and where you eat from. Please don't let my bad experience be yours try them for yourself but definitely watch while your food is being made.

Arrived, they were not busy yet no one was helping customers walking in. Figured they were short…read morestaffed. Eventually sat down after 4 minutes of waiting. Ordered drinks and food. We then went to bathroom to wash up. Bathroom was filthy! I mean bad. I don't get why places let it get that bad. Sink had water everywhere and trash all over floor. The food did not take too long and tasted pretty good. Hopefully they improve.

Despite only two customers in the restaurant, the food took an unreasonably long time to arrive, and my pancakes were completely forgotten. On top of that, several tables remained dirty for the entirety of my visit.

This has more to do with common sense than the food. So management is worried about the health department issuing a fine with a well behaved vaccined small dog outside on the porch than a couple sitting next to you lighting up known carcinogen cigarettes while the ash and smoke drift across your food, drink, and table. Sorry, I voted no to ever come back to a business like this. My brother in law lost his life to cancer. Man's best friend keeps you alive. Businesses need to be proactive with banning smoking where ever it impacts the air quality of another. No it's a free country is not an acceptable response from a smoker who costs the public huge amounts of health care money every day. read more

What a surprise! I've heard folks say that Pete's Burgers are the best in Texas (if not the U.S.). Finally got a chance to stop in and WOW, those folks were right. I'm not always fond of burgers, but the cheese burger that I get at Pete's is the absolute best that I have every had. I don't write many reviews, but this place warranted a great "shout-out". The place/location is not that great but like most awesome "hole-in-the-wall" places with always loads of cars in the parking lot, lets you know that they have customers that keep coming back for more. Don't let the aesthetics fool you! You won't find a better burger anywhere! Try it.....you'll love it! I'm positive! read more

The staff at Pete's Burger were very friendly, and the place had a nice, cozy vibe. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations. The portion was underwhelming, and the sandwich itself was lacking flavor. That said, I'm still curious to try other items on the menu, so I'll definitely give Pete's another shot. read more

Pete's Burgers!!!!! What a fantastic place to get a cheeseburger. If i could give it 10 stars I would without hesitation. Their seasoning is spectacular which makes the burgers even better. I'm so glad they are still around and continue to make the best burgers around town. If you've never had one of Pete's Burgers, you need to do so NOW. read more

Have been coming here since high school, since I work so far it is really helpful to call in my order so it's ready when I pick it up. I feel like the employees and even the owner know me by name, that is perfect customer service! Chick fil a who? If it let me do more than 5 stars I would! read more

Hole in the wall for sure. Above decent burgers, fries and twice fried onion rings. The owner is almost always on hand and in charge. A no nonsense manager with the customer's experience in mind. An out of the way hidden gem that never closed during COVID. Free refills and bang up service read more
