I ordered thru an app called Lunchdrop that we use here at work. You order before 10:30 and they deliver between 12-12:30. Had the egg burger: beef burger, fried egg dressed. Omg it as delicious I throughly enjoyed every bite. I had a great experience at the stand. My burger was really amazing! One of the better burgers I've had. I stopped into the stand around lunchtime. Parking was a little difficult (there are several lots and a parking deck, but it was busy) but there was not a long wait inside. It was decently busy though. I ordered a onion stack and it was really delicious. I thought the toppings were good and nicely balanced. Also - the actual hamburger was cooked really well and was nice and juicy. I had heard about this restaurant when I lived in California but for the most part California doesn't have very many good burger restaurants, so I never visited. After looking at the menu, this restaurant seems like a Hopdoddy on steroids. There are a few differences though as The Stand is more family friendly and they only have 1 cocktail with hard liquor (a frozen margarita) instead of having a full bar. They don't do a condiment bar with homemade condiments and their ice cream is not really ice cream but soft serve. Their burger is supposedly a 1/3lb blend of chuck and brisket. They have a nice list of compliementary condiments, in addition to their almost as large list of premium condiments which range from $0.25 to $2. Did I mention they are big on condiments and toppings here. They offer a 2oz tub of free pickles next to the register to snack on while waiting on your order to come to your table. I ordered a basic burger so I could compare to the competition without all the distraction of numerous toppings. Their basic burger is a hair under $10. I also added a side of fries. Burger - I subbed the stand sauce for jalapeno scallion aioli, and added picklrd jalapeños which I saw but never really tasted. The whole bun and topping to meat ratio is way off on just their basic burger. Not nearly enough meat. I can't imagine how skewed it would be for a specialty burger. I think you may not even be able to taste the meat at that point. Shredded lettuce doesn't wow me and their grilled onions, which comes standard, I barely even tasted as well. Fries - these are your frozen variety and taste nothing special. I spent around $18 for a mediocre burger, fries and drink and I still like the Texas-based competitor better, so I probably won't be visiting here anytime soon in the future. read more

This place is a couple of doors down from the Stretchlab. I had a Zoom meeting that I did not want to take in the car, so stopped by for the meeting and a bite. I ordered the Stand Burger with pepper jack cheese medium, and fire fries. The burger was very flavorful, and I really enjoyed it. The fries with the fire sauce had good flavor but seemed to be overcooked even with the sauce on it. I ordered water to drink. I wanted lemon which was already sliced, but needed to ask for a fork to retrieve it. My table had not been cleaned since the last Customer sat there, so I wiped it down myself. Ordered the Chinese chicken salad for lunch and it was delicious!!! I have to say the dressing is what made the salad a 9/10. The only thing I didn't like is that the chicken seems like it was from a can. My coworker also got a southwest salad and came to the same conclusion. Other than that I would have rated 5 stars because the salads are very good but the chicken is not it. The service was also prompt and friendly. The food was ready when we got there. As others have mentioned, it's a bit pricey for counter service. We came about 90 minutes to close, only folks in there on a Sunday and the service wasn't exactly snappy. I loved the ambiance because it feels a bit retro. The music was a bit too loud for us since we like having a conversation while we eat out. I also disliked that they don't have but one option for a diet soda, and it was not Diet Dr. Pepper. When the burgers finally arrived, it took a long time, the bread was cold and it is the kind of bread that looks big and not super soft. Not the good kind of Brioche! The flavor of the meat and condiments was really good. The fries were also delicious, they were crispy on the outside but not dry on the inside. My husband ordered a Seared Ahi tuna salad, it took FOREVER! The server mentioned the salad had to be made twice because they made it wrong twice! He was starving and it really took a long time. I dislike places that demand a tip when we are getting our own drinks and standing in line to order. Demanding the tip even before you get "served"'sounds ridiculous to me. I know we are near the heart of the Woodlands in Hughes Landing, however, non-alcoholic drinks and sides are quite expensive when added together with the entrée it came up to just over $20 a person tax included. Burgers are not small, but I expceted to be larger for $8-14. Fries are excellent, remained hot throughout entire meal, super fresh ingredients all the way around. I ordered the ABC Burger, which I was intrigued by, as it has avocado, bacon and ranch dressing - all things I enjoy. And it turns out, I enjoyed them all together placed between two buns on this burger. The fries were okay, but the onion rings were solid. I'd love to try one of the shakes next time, but most importantly, I'd love the food fresh off the grill. A new hidden gem in the Woodlands! (-: Decided to come here for date night with my boyfriend on a Friday night and the place seems pretty busy! This restaurant is based in Cali so I was excited to see what it has to offer in Houston. There is plenty of parking in front of the store as well as a parking garage nearby. When you first walk in, there's a huge menu to glance at and decide what you want to order. Then you'd walk over to the cashier and the staff will take your order there and hand you a table number afterwards. The staff were all so kind throughout our visit! Really did love the service. All of the items we ordered: 1.) Short Rib Grill Cheese: The toast was pretty soft and the sandwich was so cheesy and delicious! 2.) Southwest Chicken Sandwich: All of my favorite things in a sandwich -- corn, guac, bacon and chicken. I think this was probably the best southwest chicken sandwich I've ever had! All of the flavors were hitting in the correct places! 3.) Fire Fries: I have never tried fries that tasted like these before! The fries were harder than usual and sauced in what tasted like the zesty buffalo sauce from cfa. Not complaining what's so ever as they are pretty good! 4.) Crispy Chicken Bites: Out of all of the dishes we ordered, this would have to be my least favorite. However, they're not bad -- just not my preference. The order comes with 10 small bites and they taste exactly like boneless wings, just with no sauce. So there wasn't much flavor and to add flavor, you'd just overdip in ranch. Gave these guys another shot after a bit of a mess last time. They had invite us back with a credit so we tried again. This time was more difficult than the first. App was set up with credit, unfortunately wrong name on my account, which even after contacting them was not fixed after a couple of weeks. App didn't load so I had to go outside and try walking up and down the street until it did. Got order in but it did not deduct credit. Went to register they said nothing they could do. I asked them to cancel order so at least credit card might have a refund chance. Started again, outside... Second order in correctly. Great! Not great... Order eventually came without the drinks and any of the toppings for the hot dog. I asked for the toppings and ended up with another hot dog. What a waste of food. They have plenty of portion cups. Why not just put my mustard, ketchup and relish in them and bring to table. Ugh. An hour process for a hot dog and hamburger is not worth it. Came here for the Elite Event and so glad that we did. Situated right at the corner from the parking garage, the Stand is in the picturesque Hughes Landing shopping area. We were lucky enough to come in right after rush hour and found a very clean seating area and welcoming, friendly staff. The menu is not vast but you can see the care they put into the items there. Don't forget to grab a side cup of delicious pickles before you leave the ordering area. Great for the sandwich or to snack on while you wait. We got the ABC Burger (avocado, bacon, and cheddar), the Short Rib Grilled Cheese, onion rings, and split a Cookies and Cream shake. The quality of the meat in the burger was superb. The onion rings were fresh and crispy with a tasty, sweet batter. However, The short rib sandwich was the hands down winner. The slight spice to the BBQ sauce elevated a unique grilled cheese sandwich to another level. I am not a fan of cookie and cream normally, but I was pleasantly surprised by this shake. The ice cream was rich and the whole cookies used made it a terrific dessert to finish the meal. Now for the important part, BEER. For a fast casual place, they have a very well balanced menu with local drafts and some unique canned options for all tastes. I was happy to see they had @SouthernStar on the menu. It would be hard to beat the Buried Hatchet stout paired with a spicy buffalo chicken salad or the elote dog. You can tell the work they put into their food. The burgers are fresh with great quality meat. While they wait to cook until you order, the food still came out fast enough to stave off your hunger, but slow enough that you appreciate the dedication. read more

Also worth mentioning are the Coffee-Toffee milkshake topped with Heath bars and the hands-down most perfectly crispy, crunchy golden onion rings I've ever had! Like, OMG. *Drooling* I'm sure my waistline is scolding me, and I probably need to watch my sodium & sugar intake for the next week, but it was worth it! Definitely a "cheat" meal sort of thing... But, your taste buds will do a little happy dance. Now, I will admit that service during this first visit was rather slow, and some of the employees seemed confused & flustered. Got invited to The Stand / Elite Week via Yelp Elite. My official first Elite Event and let me say The Stand definitely left a great impression! They made it really easy to check in and both my name and my guest were on a VIP list which included a complementary entree, side, and drink/shake. Virginia was the cashier and made the process smooth and answered every question with excitement! She definitely set the mood and standard for this place! Thank you Virginia! Ordered the ABC burger along with fries and a shake which were amazing! The bacon was cooked to a crisp perfection and the patty had a great crispy sear with a medium center to it! Was cooked to my liking and can't forget the jalapeños and grilled onions which can be added at no cost! The fries were fresh, hot, and crispy and their homemade ranch is definitely cooling and makes for a great dipping sauce. Also ordered an cookies and creme shake which was amazing!
