By far, probably one of not the worst but bad places I've been to food 4.5 out of 10 the burger was cold. The meat looked like they have warmed it up fries we're not fresh and also please look a bit dirty uncomfortable tables bathrooms smell pretty bad they charge for the thousand island the onion rings look like they've been sitting there for quite some time. They tasted bad the bread over toasted customer service. It's a 4 out of 10. but the food being cold not cold cold but cold I will not set foot in this establishment again also will not recommend this place.

It was my first time here and came with a colleague after work on a Thursday. It wasn't busy at all. When we entered we had to walk up to the counter to order and pay before sitting down. We waited. They call your order number and you have to go pick up your food at the counter. The food was "ok". It's like a diner atmosphere. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and I thought the "set-up" was weird. Anyway, back to the food. Would I come here again? Honestly, I really don't know. So come check it out for yourself.

The scenery was nice, old school vibes. On the downside our food was cold, the buffalo wings taste like teriyaki chicken, the fries were old but delicious. The burger had a great taste but it was cold and messy. Very disappointing for a beautiful spot with low quality food.

I love Boulevard Burgers! I work 24 hours out of an ambulance in the area and they are always so kind to us when we frequent the place. They offer us discounts and attempt to speed up the order. I love the aesthetic of the inside as well! It's all love from me.

Had just Order small chilie cheese fries. No chilie just cheese smfh! I thought this burger place would be better than the ones near by but I guess this city can't make any chili cheese fries. Other place down the street make there chilie cheese fries with just cheese and beans like wtf.

Ordered the Eagle Special. A cheeseburger with a side of chili cheese fries and a medium drink. Great deal, all for about $15. Best part about this Combe Meal, it's named after the Greatest School in LAUSD history, Bell High, Home Of The Mighty Eagles! One of the best Mom and Pop burger joints in a 10 miles radius. Plenty of parking and tons of seating. Plus you can keep yourself entertained with all the crazy stuff all over the restaurant. If you are ever in the area and are looking for an old school burger joint, then definitely Check out Boulevard Burgers in the City Of Dreams, Bell CA.

Yeah they do. They have TVs all over

    How much for a cheeseburger?

$1.79 for a hamburger but you could add cheese for $.50 that would be $2.29 but don't forget the fries they are delicious.

Anyhow, my family and I were driving back home after participating in a hiring event for my son (first paid job -- so proud of him!) We were all hungry and since we were in a part of town we had not been to before did a quick search. Decided on "The Neighborhood Cafe" and headed over! We were greeted by " The Los Angeles Gentlmen" motorcycle club -- couldn't have been nicer! Then we walked in and were greeted warmly by the owner and his daughter, Cheryl. We were immediately seated and made comfortable. Cheryl took our orders and could not have been nicer/friendlier. Very spacious and cute atmosphere. Ordered and after a little bit of a wait (Due to food made to order BTW!) I had the absolute best chicken and waffles ever. IT WAS A 1/2 CHICKEN seasoned to perfection -- flavorful and juicy! The waffle was clearly homemade and also flavorful. The hot honey was a sweet/spicy welcome addition. My family also REALLY enjoyed their dishes!! We live on the westside so we will not be able to get over as often as we would like :( BUT I work near downtown so I can see me grabbing take home every once and awhile! I was just telling my wife I want to go back and get that again!! :) :) :) For those of you visiting the area looking for delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere, I highly recommend "The Neighborhood Cafe". For those of you who live in the area either go or go BACK and support this gem!

The owners are always welcoming, friendly, and genuinely make every customer feel at home. Their customer service is exceptional and one of the main reasons my family and I keep coming back. The food is amazing! Their chicharrón burrito is the best I've had, and the chilaquiles are always fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Their coffee is just as impressive--they roast their own beans, make their own café de olla syrup, and you can even buy their coffee beans to enjoy at home. Every cup tastes fresh, rich, and authentic. I also love the atmosphere. The artwork throughout the shop is beautiful and gives the space so much personality. It's the kind of place where you want to sit, relax, and enjoy your coffee. Another thing I appreciate is that their prices are more affordable than many other coffee shops, especially considering the quality of the food, coffee, and service. My kids absolutely love coming here, and it's become one of our favorite family spots. If you're in Boyle Heights and looking for incredible coffee, delicious food, beautiful local art, fair prices, and some of the kindest people you'll ever meet, Picaresca is a must-visit. I can't recommend them enough!

I've been coming to this cafe for a while now. But, every time I visit, I am constantly telling…read moremyself "yeah ima give myself a break from here for at least a week or two" because of the food OR the customer service, AND sometimes both. This last time might truly be the last time for me. This past weekend I went with my family to have breakfast and it was okay.. One girl who took our order was kind but there's this other girl who's usually always working there with short hair who always has this unwelcoming behavior.. Mind you, the ones who are in the front taking orders are like the "face" of the cafe and it'll reflect what kind of experience the customer will have. (Speaking from someone who has experience in customer service, especially in the food industry.) We ordered our food and found a table outside but it was dirty so I went to ask to ask the girl if she can give ME something to wipe down the tables. I don't have a problem doing so because it's just a habit of mine. She said that she'll tell someone to go outside and clean it. That short haired girl came out and cleaned our table.. the time we went was busy so I understand if they couldn't do their rounds of cleanups but even when it's slow, it's still not done and I don't understand? The cooks and baristas are obviously busy trying to take orders out, the least that some cashiers can do in the front is to communicate with one another to be able to cover both in AND out of the cafe.. Then, I asked for another salsa because I was given one and I usually always ask for another one and I'm never given problems over it or question about it but this time the SAME short haired girl with attitude asked if I wanted to swap it out for the one that's already on my plate? I was confused because I was never asked that before.. it made me feel like I had to choose one or the other because two wasn't the option It's salsa.. no pasa nada si me das dos.. I started questioning myself like am I tripping? But my family member was with me, witnessing everything, that she brought it up before I did. Mind you, our entire meal came out to $77... in this time AND economy, it's not that easy to just go anywhere and spend that type of money. So, when one does it, it's because we want to either treat ourselves AND our loved ones. The experience didn't feel like it was worth our money.. and c'mon, to be spending THAT much IN Boyle Heights is wild. Don't get me wrong, people in the hood also deserve a cool and calm ambience pero si se pasan with the prices and on top of that the customer service is mid? Also, can I mention about the dishes situation? Crazy how we spent $77 to put our own dishes in the bin? Not even Wingstop lets you do that!? Again, it's all about the customer service and the experience for the customer. Especially if it's the customers who are INVESTING hard working money into the cafe with every purchase. Now, there's only TWO other girls who are the sweetest and I wish I knew there names but they're the reason why I always give it another chance. Besides that, the customer service is always off. And the baristas gotta learn some customer service too. Smile and look up for once, it's really not that hard and making coffee isn't THAT serious. I've been off of social media for a while now but this place definitely brings in many "instagram" people.. so sometimes the atmosphere also feels performative and I've noticed it attracts that. I came across this place just by driving by and curious to wanting to try it but I also had some doubts beforehand. I gave this place multiple chances but it continued to prove me RIGHT From what I've seen, it doesn't seem like true Boyle Heights/East LA locals go to this cafe... the prices don't really cater to the community they're in! It caters another group of people for attraction and just another form of hipster It be the ones who are raza who exploit their own culture for money and attention because being and claiming brown culture is "cool" now. Don't get it twisted, the real ones see through it.

Just a couple of weeks ago, my friends and I were considering our options for where to have brunch to celebrate one of our friend's retirement. Toast was one of the names I dropped in the metaphorical hat, and it won the vote of a few. My friends were surprised that I had named a spot I hadn't yet tried since I'm usually the "foodie" of the group. However, another girl in the group who had been here before vouched for it. I'm glad I finally got to try this place this past weekend, and I cannot wait to return! There were so many things on their menu that I wanted to try. A couple of the ladies ordered green chilaquiles, the friend we were celebrating ordered the Spanish Omelet, another woman I'd met that day had the bacon and eggs, another one ordered the Biscuits and grave with a side of bacon that looked perfectly crispy. I wish I had taken pictures of the plates as it all looked so lovely! I didn't even take a picture of my own food haha. I had my eyes on an omelet, one of the Benedicts or the Chicken n Waffle. In the end, the chicken and waffle won. It comes served with a little container of maple syrup with bacon pieces. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The waffle was delicious, though I did request for some extra syrup on the side. To drink, a few ladies ordered mimosas, one ordered an iced caramel coffee, and I ordered the Carajillo. I fell in love with this drink last summer in Mexico and do not often see it on the menu. I love the subtle citrus notes the Licor 43 adds to this espresso drink. It is very similar to an espresso martini, and theirs comes topped with a toasted marshmallow. I honestly wanted to try almost every item in their Tipsy Barista section of their drinks. I'll just have to come back that many more times :) Plenty of parking in the mall lot. It does get pretty packed during peak hours. Fortunately I had called ahead to put our group of 6 down. We went in on Saturday around 11:30. It slowed down a bit while we were eating, but started to get busy again after 1. Otherwise, we might have been forced to honor their 90-minute rule. All in all, a great experience from everyone in our group. No complaints on the wait, service or food. That certainly deserves a toast. Great job, Toast!
