Came here to use the restroom since I was working in the area and ended up getting a breakfast sandwich. I had no expectations for this place, just walked in because Starbucks was closed and it was like a 50's themed diner/antique shop inside. The place was clean and fully staffed and there was a drive-thru. I ordered their sausage and egg breakfast sandwich on sour dough and needed the code to the restroom or the key and was on my way. Later in the day I got hungry and opened up the sandwich and it was perfect. It tasted like a good home made breakfast sandwich and looked amazing and tasted fresh. I got a photo of the cross section of the sandwich and it was immaculate. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a very good burger or meal on the go that's not a chain and it's actually better than a chain. Also, the restroom was clean with no weird smells so I recommend their restroom too if you're on the go. My order was ready by the time I came out of the restroom so they are also really quick. Wow! What delicious burgers!! We each got a daily special which includes a side and drink. I got Onion Rings as my side and they were so good, crispy and golden brown. Easily enough for 2. The rest got fries which were equally delicious with seasoned salt. Burgers were tasty, lots of flavor with and with whatever toppings you want. We were so hungry we forgot the pic's! By far, probably one of not the worst but bad places I've been to food 4.5 out of 10 the burger was cold. The meat looked like they have warmed it up fries we're not fresh and also please look a bit dirty uncomfortable tables bathrooms smell pretty bad they charge for the thousand island the onion rings look like they've been sitting there for quite some time. It was my first time here and came with a colleague after work on a Thursday. It wasn't busy at all. When we entered we had to walk up to the counter to order and pay before sitting down. We waited. They call your order number and you have to go pick up your food at the counter. The food was "ok". It's like a diner atmosphere. Last Sunday my son Brad asked me if we could try "Boulevard Burgers" after I had finished submitting some pre-op tests at Downey Presbyterian. Pros: Boulevard Burgers warrants 5 starts for its kitschy, we-love-all-local-pro -college-and-high-school-teams decor. The best local, hip to its surrounding community vibe this side of Applebee's. My son tells me that his large order of chili cheese fries, served in a heaping styrofoam container overflowing with the grease from the chili, was "excellent." I am very picky about the types of chili I'll consider eating and so, no, I wasn't gonna venture my own sampling of his food. Cons: I ordered their simple "hamburger special," w/ fries and a diet coke. My food was barely lukewarm and the burger was certainly nothing to write home about nor to merit a return visit. The fries were good but would've been better had they been served hot. My drink? Don't get me started. Colleague and I were on our way to Tacos El Gavilan. At the red signal on Atlantic and Florence a sudden cooked meat smell hit us through our open windows. We saw the smoke coming out of this joint's chimney and we had to check this place out. (We did go to Tacos El Gavilan the next day) In was a surprise seeing this kind of memorabilia filled restaurant in this part of town. I would have expected something like this in the Midwest. But, you know what? I guess this is what makes LA so diverse. That's why we love this city. The menu itself had a lot of things I liked. I settled on the pastrami sandwich with chili cheese fries. The portion was huge. I could finish only the fries and couple of bites of my sandwich. The sandwich was simple yet delicious. The pastrami used, melted in my mouth. If Guy Fieri from Triple D was here, he would have requested to "shut the front door" after taking a bite out of this sandwich. Someone there needs an attitude check. We ordered chili cheese fries, 2 burger specials, and 4 extra burgers. We received only 5 burgers - missing one. We noticed when we got home. No big deal. We called and informed them, thinking we can sort it out. Instead, we were told they got it right. Actually, no.
