First stumbled upon this deli last year when working in the area. I checked it out but didn't eat there that day, but I made a mental note to revisit this place someday because in addition to the line of people wanting to order (a good sign)- that extensive and expansive menu was tempting. A year later, I'm back working in the area and two colleagues and I decided to grab a bite after we were done. I will say the menu can be a bit overwhelming. MENU: They offer breakfast up until 3 pm. SPECIALS: Daily specials are posted up at the grill station. There's lots of daily specials. SANDWICHES/SOUPS/SALADS: Cold and hot sandwiches. ADDITIONAL: Pastries and desserts available. Literally, the menu can be overwhelming so I would advise checking the menu before you come cause it took me 15 minutes to decide what I wanted. I landed on getting breakfast for brunch- the 2 eggs any way- I ordered eggs scrambled well with cheese (I don't do dairy usually but it is what it is- sliced cheese melted on top) and it came with red potatoes and I asked for them to add mushrooms. It was tasty indeed after some salt and pepper. Came with wheat bread (I opted out of a meat option cause I don't eat it) and the bread was nice and buttery and came with grape jelly. Good American classic fare! My friends each ordered a specialty sandwich which they devoured. If you are truly hungry and in the area- then you can't go wrong here. Food made to order and everything is fresh. You have options baby- you have options.

I stopped by this place to have lunch. It's a cute little shop in a pretty busy area. I ordered their reuben and I thought it was quite good. Maybe a bit salty for my taste, but that is my fault for picking a sandwich that's pretty much all meat, haha. I would definitely come back to try the other stuff on their menu.

Tuna melt, pretty good
Tony W.

Dropped by for a quick sandwich lunch around noon. Pretty quick service if you get in before the lunch rush as a school is nearby and kids come to get sandwiches and burgers here too Had the tuna melt with little expectations, turned out to be a pretty good tuna salad with finely chopped pickles and good acidity to cut thru the melty cheezy goodness. (you get a choice of cheese, cheddar or jack) Maybe 8 tables of 4 for seating inside. Lots to choose from their menu, and food comes out within 10 mins.

Half of my sandwhich

Super nice staff. They are crowded. So come prepared to wait in line. I ordered the sub which came with turkey, pastrami, ham and cheese. The other one I was thinking of was the the club. Whis is turkey, ham. Bacon and cheese. But I thought I should try it out and then go from there to see which one i would like best. A 7inch sandwhich is $13 dollars and a 12 inch sub is $20. They also serve burgers. Soup, speciality plates etc. So I am sure when you come in everyone will find something to enjoy. They have clean tables and bright and windows that you can eat and enjoy a meal with a friend. They have a coffee section and a section for fountain drinks. They also have a section where you can get cold drinks. I do have to say I do enjoy that the sandwhichs are cut in half. So if you don't finish you don't have to worry about wrapping up the leftovers. Every sandwhich comes in a sweet roll. But I always opt for Dutch crunch. Overall, no complaints with the food

Hot Pastrami

This hot pastrami sandwich was absolutely delicious. Not your ordinary hot pastrami, the way the chef hooked it up was amazing. Lettuce, tomato, avocado, and pepper Cheaneys! Nicely paired with French fries

This is near the healthcare buildings Mount Zion. Other side of Divisadero. It's an old deli..I got a hamburger and ate half with mom...need a treat near the health centers. I know I have been here...last time for the Ortho care two years...yes yes and NO hahaha

Italian sub for lunch!

I have no idea why I forgot to review this a YEAR AGO! Pete's is the BEST deli I've ever been to... like ever. There's so many choices of lunch, breakfast, salads, sandwiches, deli, drinks, allllll the things. The Italian is probably my favorite so far. The sandwiches are HUGE! One is good enough for two people unless you're tummy is loving Pete's food. Super small space and limited seating and has some weird business hours. Every. Single. Trip. To. San. Francisco. I. Stop. Here. Extra emphasis ;) Seriously, stop reading this & go to Pete's Deli!

Hickory Smoked Turkey Sandwich

Great spot for a quick sandwich. They have a lot of selections on their menu, and it's all affordable prices. I got the 7" Hickory Turkey Sandwich on a cubano, and it was more than enough food. Came out quick and the food was great too.

Double cheeseburger to show size of meat... a lovely 1/3lbs per patty.

Ordered takeout today... To start they gave excellent customer service. They verified my order and jts specifications to make sure they made just what I wanted. They had run out of tots and verified that fries were an ok replacement. The burger was utterly perfect and was more value for the money than I expected. Each patty being 1/3lbs. It was cooked as ordered and topped exactly as I had requested. The fries were perfect as well, hot and fresh with just the right seasoning. I will be buying from here again and often.

This spot has lots of choices when it comes to lunch. I chose to be traditional and try something from the deli. Ii ordered a salami and cheese sandwich on Dutch crunch. It was good. I like there is also outdoor dining.

$16.00 for a meat ball sub that would've left a six year old child hungry. Ridiculously overpriced for the tiny size and big price.

Solid sandwiches and great classic deli vibes. The prices, however, do not match the food and ambiance expectations.

On the days we have gone, the line has varied from being out the door to a quick walk in and order - truly just depends. Regardless of the long line, these drinks are soooo good. Upon entering the coffee shop, you'll see a good amount of seating, but for the times we have gone, the majority of the seats are taken. It is definitely a variety of people socializing, working, reading books, or just hanging out. Parking is metered or street parking, and we haven't had any issue finding parking! It's also in an area where you can shop around (across the street) if you want to grab a bite as well. Our go to orders include the Mocha Dream Espresso Cloud and the Nitro Mango, but we have also gotten the Hojicha Cloud, which is amazing as well. We love the thickness and flavors of the cold foams - you cannot go wrong with any of the cloud drinks. As popular as this place has become, it truly is worth the trip! We will always make a trip whenever we are in the city!

We waited quite a while, and while the drinks were good, I'm not sure they completely justified the wait. If you can come during off-peak hours, I think you'll enjoy it much more. Overall, it's a good café with quality coffee and a nice vibe. Just be prepared for a line if you visit during busy times.

They explained that the flight includes an espresso shot, espresso shot with milk, hot coffee, and iced coffee. I hadn't had a straight espresso shot before, so this wasn't for me personally just because it was so overpowering. I enjoyed the other three though. Like the majority of SF, parking is difficult to locate. I was dropped off nearby the location. There is indoor and outdoor seating; I was able to grab an empty spot late in the morning on a weekend, but I don't think seating is always readily available. It's not a huge space.

It seems like there's also an upstairs but did not get the chance to check it out. I got an iced latte with their almond macadamia milk, and they're also so nice to do complimentary cold brew! So we got an extra drink for free. Trying the iced latte, it was pretty disappointing lol. I thought it would be similar to like a Hawaiian style latte with macadamia milk, but it was a lot lighter than I thought. It was definitely very nutty, but it also just tasted like water down latte. Honestly not much going on with the drink, but it does taste lighter in general. Crazy have to pay $1.50 more to add on this milk. Overall, its alright. I do like the natural lighting coming into the shop, but nothing too special.

Didn't realize the rose latte would come as a hot drink but it was still good. Opted for less sweet but was a little more sweet than expected compared to the Yemeni latte. Yemeni coffee was light and subtle with cinnamon. Milk cake was moist and not too sweet - texture reminds me of a les tres cake. Rose and saffron flavors were perfect and not too overpowering Turkish coffee is not bitter or too strong. It's located at the filthy corner of 4th and Clara, which made the outside smell of urine. Fortunately the cafe itself is pretty clean, which is a nice escape from the street. I ordered an Americano and my friend got one of their $8+ lattes, which were fine, but nothing special. My biggest gripe was the service and absolute scorn of the customer. My friend and I sat at the counter basically in a staring contest with the woman behind the counter, who just stared right back. After some 30 seconds, we finally flagging her down to place our order. After turning around the drinks suspiciously quickly, my friend and I sat down to catch-up in the empty cafe. Before long, the barista pumps up the volume, increasing higher and higher every 5 minutes or so, as if to signal to us that our time was up. I asked her to turn down the volume, which she tuned down from an 11 to a 7, but minutes later it continued to creep up, like the snooze setting of an alarm clock coaxing you to wake up - except in this case, to get out. Ultimately, the volume got unbearable and we finally threw in the towel and got out of there to let the barista enjoy her music. Definitely never going back there - they clearly don't want the business. Food: 5/10 Service: 0/10 Price: $$ Atmosphere: 4/10
