There was no line when I came in to order, so I thought they would make the burrito right away, and I'd be off. However, I waited for about 15 minutes until my order was called. They need a current review here. Tried the breakfast burrito which was very plentiful and not all that small. Fresh, super hot, taters could have been a little more cooked, kind of raw. I did like it, but it needed "something" to add to it to give it a bit more "punch" and "flavor". A nice addition to the "plate" could have been a garnish or a small cup of fruit. It looked to naked and unappetizing on the oval white plate. A good deal though, I thought. Staff always super nice and don't let "all the special signs" dissuade you from giving Pete's a try. SPECIALS: Daily specials are posted up at the grill station. There's lots of daily specials. SANDWICHES/SOUPS/SALADS: Cold and hot sandwiches. ADDITIONAL: Pastries and desserts available. Literally, the menu can be overwhelming so I would advise checking the menu before you come cause it took me 15 minutes to decide what I wanted. I landed on getting breakfast for brunch- the 2 eggs any way- I ordered eggs scrambled well with cheese (I don't do dairy usually but it is what it is- sliced cheese melted on top) and it came with red potatoes and I asked for them to add mushrooms. It was tasty indeed after some salt and pepper. Came with wheat bread (I opted out of a meat option cause I don't eat it) and the bread was nice and buttery and came with grape jelly. Good American classic fare! My friends each ordered a specialty sandwich which they devoured. If you are truly hungry and in the area- then you can't go wrong here. Greeter isn't friendly, not has he ever been toward me. I've been to Pete's for years. I have ordered an egg salad sandwich on most visits. The salad portion is delicious- but not on bread that isn't really fresh. You know the end pieces of a loaf are often firmer than the interior slices. That's what should be used for all sandwiches. I stopped by this place to have lunch. It's a cute little shop in a pretty busy area. I ordered their reuben and I thought it was quite good. Pretty quick service if you get in before the lunch rush as a school is nearby and kids come to get sandwiches and burgers here too Had the tuna melt with little expectations, turned out to be a pretty good tuna salad with finely chopped pickles and good acidity to cut thru the melty cheezy goodness. Super nice staff. They are crowded. So come prepared to wait in line. I ordered the sub which came with turkey, pastrami, ham and cheese. The other one I was thinking of was the the club. Whis is turkey, ham. Bacon and cheese. But I thought I should try it out and then go from there to see which one i would like best. A 7inch sandwhich is $13 dollars and a 12 inch sub is $20. They also serve burgers. Soup, speciality plates etc. So I am sure when you come in everyone will find something to enjoy. They have clean tables and bright and windows that you can eat and enjoy a meal with a friend. They have a coffee section and a section for fountain drinks. They also have a section where you can get cold drinks. I do have to say I do enjoy that the sandwhichs are cut in half. So if you don't finish you don't have to worry about wrapping up the leftovers. Every sandwhich comes in a sweet roll. But I always opt for Dutch crunch. I ordered a sesame toasted with butter, and I got this weirdly gummy, flattened disk. I can forgive the "toasting" it on the griddle, as this is essentially a diner, but the gummy texture was as if the bagel was not fully baked. One of my favorite lunch spots to go to when I'm working. I love the friendly staff and variety of options on their menu. Their burgers / breakfast items are good but my absolute favorite thing to get is the Philly cheesesteak and fries. I will even go as far as saying the cheesesteak is way better than the beloved cheesesteak shop across the street. The only complaint I have about this place is it's super pricey for the food that they offer. If you're on a budget, beware. Ordered takeout today... To start they gave excellent customer service. They verified my order and jts specifications to make sure they made just what I wanted. They had run out of tots and verified that fries were an ok replacement. The burger was utterly perfect and was more value for the money than I expected. Each patty being 1/3lbs. It was cooked as ordered and topped exactly as I had requested. The fries were perfect as well, hot and fresh with just the right seasoning. I will be buying from here again and often. read more

This is one of the very few places open during the shelter in place order. I've come in here before the shutdown and it was fine. Food is good. I've liked everything I've had so far (tuna melt, a couple of different veggie sandwiches, fries). The staff is friendly. Their soup of the day changes pretty frequently, but when they have it, their Chicken Tortilla Soup is the BEST I have ever had! It can be on the spicier side depending on the batch, but if you can handle it, I think it adds a lot of flavor. I suggest calling ahead in the morning to ask what kind of soup they have that day.
