I was referred to Pete yesterday, when my toilet decided to overflow completely out of the blue, for no reason. Pete first helped me out by having me do a bunch of tests on the toilet via telephone, and I swear it was like my Dad helping me all over again. I have utilized Pete and his son, Brandon, for many years. They have been the most reasonable, and honest plumbers, I have found in the Tri-city area! When I asked him about replacing my home water heater, he came to my home to actually look at the job and gave he opinion of the type of water heater best for my home and showed me the items that he needed to replace and those that didn't! I also checked the water heater brand he recommended and it turn out to be a highly recoimmended one and efficient one- this advice was really appreciated for the Bradford-White water heater (I also liked that it was made in America)! Pete's has been my go to place for any plumbing issues for more than 15 years. I live in an old house and there have been many difficult repairs. Before Pete I hired a large and well known rooter company out of yellow page and it ended up as a disaster. They guy came who initially charged me $1000 to find out what went wrong and broke my sewage line, then asked for another $4000 to repipe. I sent that person away and started to ask for referrals. A friend of mine in the same neighborhood recommended Pete's. Pete came and solved the problem and charged me $300. That was how I got to know Pete. Two weeks ago this clogging issue started to develop and the problem became really annoying over the weekend. I ran the snake several times but had no luck. I found Pete's Pipes initially at Yahoo Local and was hesitant to call him since he only has one review posted at Yahoo Local. I decided to call him anyway. My call was answered promptly and what struck me right away was how flexible he was with working with me on the time he could in that would be most convenient for me. Typically, service providers would just give me a wide 4-hour window then would show up at the tail end of the window. Anyway, I set a 3-hour window with Pete and I even made arrangements for Pete to call me an hour before they are available. I got a call from Brandon (Pete's son) at 4:15 PM and set to meet him at my house at 4:45 PM. When I got home, Brandon was already waiting for me. He promptly checked my clogged drain, took out his snake machine and proceeded to work and unclogged the pipes for the next 45 minutes. Once the job was done, I got charged exactly the price that was quoted to me on the phone, no hidden charges, no BS. He gave me a quote, a very reasonable one and was clean and honest. NO bargaining, very definitive answers etc. He took the exact time he said he would.
