I called them to fix a clogging issue, but instead I was charged $4,500 to replace two leaking pipes, and the clog remains unresolved. After the inspection, the plumber recommended replacing the leaking pipes for a total cost of $12,000, stating that doing so would allow them to snake the line and fix the clog. However, after replacing the shower and drain pipes, the plumber then informed me that there was still not enough access to snake the line and that installing a cleanout is required to address the clog in the main pipe, which will give a total cost of $15000. It was not communicated before the work began that even if they replaced the pipes, it's not resolving the clogging issue. They were asking me to do an expensive upgrade than giving me a solution to the problem. After paying $4500, I still need to call someone to fix the clogging. Once getting started we both realized the job was going to be bigger than valve replacement. It's a 50 year old house with a kluge of galvanized pipe, threaded valves, brass sink drain, PVC pipe. The galvanized pipe was thoroughly corroded inside and out, the sink drain was equally past its useful life, too brittle to work around. It would be an all day job. Julio had other projects scheduled Saturday. He texted a colleague and we had someone first thing Saturday morning. The work was completed Saturday afternoon, we had good water flow and properly done plumbing from the sink drain down to the pipes below the crawl space. The company responded right away to a request for an immediate plumbing job on Monday afternoon around 2pm. Julio showed up and was polite, friendly, and even took his shoes off without even being asked too. He assessed the job, provided a quote, and got started as soon as I gave the ok. He explained some of the things he was doing as I had tried myself to replace the faucet and then angle stops without a lot of progress. He completed both jobs with a reasonable price which had to include travel time. He cleaned up nicely after the work and took his shoes off every time he went to his van and then came back in. I needed a licensed plumber to swap out an electric tankless water heater, and Julio's quote was very reasonable. You don't get to find good plumbers who are familiar with electric tankless water heater. Hire Julio as he apparently very knowledgeable and did not take him much time to get through things properly. Scheduling with him was easy, and when he came out, he also took the time to look at a long-standing issue with one of our toilets. He discovered multiple problems that had been missed before and fixed them completely. The toilet hadn't worked properly for over a year, and now we finally feel confident using it again -- plus he provides a three-year warranty. On top of that, we had a water filter burst that flooded the kitchen and downstairs bedroom. This wasn't an easy install as we had to cut through the ceiling of the lower floor to get in, drill some concrete to get the job done. This past week our old water heater suddenly gave out and it was time for a new one. Legacy came out on the weekend and did a through job. After determining that the outside access point to kitchen sink line was not usable, they took apart the elbows under the sink and inserted their snake from there. Close to 50 feet of snake was almost used up when an entangled jumble of fabric/hair was encountered and retrieved. My husband and I have lived in our home over 30 years and unfortunately found our sewer pipes literally rotting. Was able to go through angi's list to find them. Was completely clear about passing or not to have someone come give us a quote for our plumbing issue. They came looked at the interior one pipe and decided that's all they needed to see. Took me a whole day to get a hold of someone. I then rescheduled for them to come give us the quote and start work. They were late each time. Plus they talked to us clearly about giving us a written quote. They went to the truck to"write it up" so i left leaving my dad to retrieve the quote. They verbally quoted us $4500 to fox one bathroom. Saying cutting walls getting access was allot. I told him there were already access points cut out, however, at that point it was only a little bit of the cost. I questioned several aspects but seemed to be an excuse for every cost. At the end of that they REFUSED to give a written quote saying we couldonly have it if we signed it on spot. That's after they told us they were writing it up.
