I wanted to like this place, as it's nearby and has a great reputation s as a "fun" spot with entertainment. But the food alone will prevent me from returning. I know it's a pub, so my food expectations were low, but they still fell short. The basic nachos I had were simply not good: toppings of bland beef, tomatoes,too much sour cream and cheese that tasted far too much like American. I felt like this was something a non-chef child would put together at home. My burger also lacked seasoning and was cooked beyond the medium that I requested. Fries were probably the best part of the meal. I was so unimpressed that I didn't even look at the dessert menu, which is not my custom. Blackened Chicken Panini: Juicy chicken, fresh mutz, and the slight bitterness of broccoli rabe made for a great combo. The pesto mayo added a nice kick and tied everything together. Nicely toasted and well balanced -- could use just a pinch more spice. Nashville Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich: Crispy, spicy, and messy in the best way. The cheese sauce and slaw gave it good texture and flavor contrast, and the brioche bun held strong. Heat level hit the sweet spot -- noticeable but not overkill. Ok so it's been a while since I was here, and I must say I am madd at myself for having been away for so long! Generally an older vibe here with good food, friendly service and Karaoke every Thursday! Well stocked Bar and a lot of good yummies on the menu! The place is warm and inviting, with a typical pub/tavern/saloon vibe. The only downside was that they needed more staff! This was a first visit to Pete's Saloon. They have a bar area with several TVs for sports fans. Bands play on some evenings as well. Menu is extensive. The onion soup was a home run topped with onion strings. The Rueben was good considering that the corned beef wasn't house made. When I return it will be a burger for me. Pretty over Pete's saloon went to support the autism awareness event because my daughter is autistic my girlfriend who has spina bífida walks in crutches wasn't accommodated forget my autistic daughter; I told the rest of my party to switch plans my brothers special needs too this would have been a crap show no seating . 50/50 sales women was to busy gabbing with friends. The hostess took our money for the entrance andthat's it ... wanted to know why we didn't have reservations I asked her if the were required left be with no answer. We were picked up headed to Applebees; I came here before Christmas to support a friend who places in a band; the food wasn't cheap and easy great for everyone I wanted to come back and try it again didn't happen it's a shame very close to where I live buts poor did bad service and the inability to recognize if you're having and event for people with special needs should they be your top priority when they make an attempt to support said event . read more

Went for lunch today. Had the Prime Rib Cheesesteak. It was fabulous. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked to my order. The horseradish mayo and cherry peppers added a wonderful flavor. The roll was so soft it seemed freshly made. I included a pic. Sorry for the bite but after I tasted it I knew I had to do a review. Cane with a healthy portion of a basket with onion rings and fries combined. Both the bartender and waitress went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Great neighborhood Saloon and family friendly, as I noticed a sign stating kids eat free on Tuesdays with a Adult order. Great choice for a lunch stop. read more

A lovely spot not far from where I grew up and also witnessed my father go deeper into the irretrievable pit of wantonly wasted afternoons. However here we are nearly 40 years later and they actually have great chow! My father's Aunt Dolly passed away and we had her repast there. My Aunt Dorothy, Cousin Barbara and many others have broken bread there over the decades. I moved away in 2015 and didn't care if ever I saw this joint again. Yet earlier today there I found myself. I ordered Yo Adrian! steak and cheese sub on a garlic roll. Tasty and succulent with side of onion rings. The latter were underdone, over battered but still nom noms. Queen Bee had sliders with same rings...she liked her sliders and I enjoyed the bite I had out of one. Good beer, good service and good time with my cousin and my Queen Bee. Pete no longer owns this eponymous epic of an eatery...It now belongs to Anthony something or other. Well good for him! Even better for Pete for unloading the joint upon him. Got the combo with onion rings and fries. Great fish and chips. Mozzarella sticks go beyond the usual; these are larger and rectangular. More mozz and very hot and melty the way they should be. I really wanted to like this local place. I'm a business traveler and when I called they were super friendly and guided me to parking (right across from Rini's). The server didn't seem completely up on happy hour specials, but no matter. We figured our way through it. I ordered a glass of Malbec, the happy hour wings (6 for $8) and the Atlantic salmon with broccoli and garlic mashed. The service was mostly good, the wings were cooked to order, the water glass refilled frequently. There were less that 15 people in the restaurant and it seats easily 5 times that many. The salmon came out with such a crispy coating I thought it was deep fried. The outer coating was tough and crunchy, and while salmon was serviceable, for $25, there may be better options on the menu. I left half the fillet untouched, hoping for the first half to redeem itself. The garlic mashed potatoes were decent mashed potatoes with little discernible garlic. The server asked me how the salmon was and I shrugged my shoulders and said "It was...OK." The phone rang and she walked away and then returned to ask about the salmon. I told her what I noted above and she scrunched her face up. I appreciated the empathy, at least. The phone rang again and it took 15 minutes to grab my payment from the table. And buyer beware: if you use a credit or debit card, Pete's Tavern charges an extra 3.5% on top of your bill. read more

Solid food with all the basic choices: burgers, wings, pizza, salads, sandwiches, etc. The general options you'd find in a modern American "saloon." We really enjoyed the pretzel appetizer: hot and fresh, with mustards and beer cheese. I had the wings for dinner with a couple of different sauces. My friend had the chili and a corned beef sandwich. We enjoyed everything and the service was great, despite getting very busy (trivia night, apparently!) as the night went on. It's known a a good sports bar in the area. CONS: Despite hardly any customers the kitchen was very slow and the menu variety was very little. I ordered BBQ wings and they came out spicy for some reason. The parking lot is a tiny lot across the street that you have to pay a meter for OVERALL: The place is very nice and i would recommend coming here, whether it's to see Victoria since she's sweet or maybe an event they're holding, or maybe a game is on. read more

We tried Pete's as a last second choice while looking for a place for dinner the other night. We checked out the menu (bc I like to know what I'm going to order if possible before I get somewhere) and I knew what I wanted. We sat down, got the menu, saw the specials, and I immediately changed my mind to get one of the specials. I got the jerk chicken sandwich with mango salsa. My bf also changed his mind from a main menu item to a special. He got the half rack of ribs with baked potato, biscuit, and broccoli apple slaw. We also got the potato skins for an appetizer. The potato skins were extremely expensive for what you get, $17 for 4 skins and they weren't amazing in my opinion. The jerk chicken sandwich was so good though! I felt like the mango salsa was more pickled than fresh and I would have liked to have more of a fresh flavor but overall so so good. They also gave me like 3 layers of chicken! I loved the fries! I'm so picky about my fries but these were so crispy and cooked so well. I had some of the ribs as well and they were so good and tender. The biscuit was really fluffy and the broccoli/apple slaw was also really good. I loved the crunch to it. The waitress was friendly enough and they were setting up a band for live music which would be really fun. I think they are a little bit overpriced in general but I will definitely come back to try what I originally wanted. read more

We got a table and they had the nerve to charge us a cover charge. We ordered the nachos and oh my god it was horrible. How do you screw up nachos? The whole plate was stuck to itself. The cheese was definitely cheap and of poor quality. It was a disgusting rubbery mess. You could pick the whole thing up from one chip. Never eat there again. read more
