I'm new to the area and openly told them I'm unfamiliar with winter tires and was relying on their expertise to guide me. I later learned that not all winter tires come with studs pre-installed -- they must be added separately, even if the tire is designed for studs. That would've been fine, had this been clearly explained. Instead, no one asked me to confirm whether I wanted studs installed, even though I had requested "winter tires with studs" in my original phone conversation. The tires they ordered were indeed studdable tires, which means I would never have declined studs on a tire specifically made for studs -- especially after asking for them. When I picked up my car, I noticed the studs weren't installed. I called to clarify and was met with rude and dismissive responses. I was told that I had declined studs, which is simply untrue and was never discussed at any point during the appointment. They refused to acknowledge any miscommunication on their end. I drove back so they could add the studs. While there, I was spoken to disrespectfully, my old tires were called "crap," and when I returned to pick up my car, I was told that although they normally don't charge for studs, they were charging me the full amount because installing them was an "inconvenience" to them. Update: I reached out to Monro about the issue and received no additional help. Overall, a really disappointing experience. The one-star reviews are legit--save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else for tire service.

They sold me the car and said that they had to do some work on it and put a fresh inspection sticker on it. They gave me a loaner vehicle while this service was done. I recieved the vehicle back on October 27th. I drove the vehicle up the road to my kids school a few miles up the road from me and I had a strong oil smell and the check engine light was blinking. I brought it home and my husband said it was leaking oil. He brought it that next morning when they opened. They said it needed something and would fix it. They then again gave me a loaner and said it would be taken care of. They had my car from October 28th-December 24th. On January 3rd the vehicle started losing power going up hills and the check engine light was blinking and eventually went to solid. I called them again. They took the car in and had it a few days and said it was fixed. They dropped it off at 4:30. I drove to my second job and it immediately started blinking again. I called and left a message for the general manager and service and have not got a response. They have been avoiding me and tossing me to different voicemails. Today 2/9/24, I was driving home from work and the car died. I pleaded for someone to speak with me. They said that it would be 3 weeks before they could get it in. I explained how frustrated that I had paid and continue to pay for a vehicle that is sitting in my yard. I have 4 children who all play sports and I work two jobs. I cannot be without a vehicle. The lady in service put me on hold. She came back and said her schedule is what it is and just so I know anything from here is all my respsibility including any further repair or loaner vehicles. This is so frustrating.  I feel so taken advantage of.

I left a message but go no answer, all while the pipe was getting worse and worse. I have no landline, and I live in the NEK and cell service is spotty and unreliable. So when I emailed the sales rep that I got no response, I expressed to them that I'd prefer email to get this scheduled. They did not like this, and wanted me to play phone tag with them by finding a landline somewhere. Why did they insist I call them? We were already emailing and I told them I have issues with phone service. This back and forth with them is ongoing as of the writing of this review, but considering what I've heard about them and read about them, I'm not terribly optimistic. That's car dealerships for you, though. They're all grifters, and if you want to help the world be rid of places like this you should try to help change the laws so car manufacturers can sell directly to consumers and skip these untrustworthy, self-serving middlemen.
