Very authentic tasting tamales and champurado! It tasted just like my grandmas. The salsa is made with a lot of tomatillo, so it has a strong flavor which I didn't prefer. I prefer my salsa more spicy and lime tasting, but the tamales themselves were delicious! The seating is amazing, it's an outdoor areas with lots of shade and even a fire pit for your party. Came across this place randomly. Little shack looking place with tables in the back area. Cool little spot. Tacos seemed a bit overpriced until they were sitting on the plate and I saw how much food they packed into them. Carnitas, chicken, and carne asada were my choices. Chicken was the least favorite for me. Steak was large cuts and had an al pastor look but was tasty. Carnitas usually aren't my go to but these were delicious. Got the chips and salsa. Chips are made there and seasoned with some tasty stuff. Normal salsa was ok but the orange salsa or dip was legit! If they bottled it I would've left with a few jars. My one complaint was the Jamaica was not that tasty. Pretty bitter but that's a roll of the dice when I go to new places. Visited in a Tuesday night, didn't see any taco Tuesday deals. No biggie... Menu is a good size, many foods available. I purchased el kobe and pollo tacos which were both very good! I also tried the street corn which was not very good. Ceviché was also purchased and tasted very good, but is a little spicy. Price is reasonable. The spot is small and has a nice cozy outdoor patio. The experience here was less that acceptable. You're paying 14 dollars for a burrito that could fit in the palm of your hand, the tacos seem bigger in size. Ordered a carne asada burrito , and the menu clearly says "choice of meat, beans rice , guacamole and cheese " which I even confirmed with the cashier. I got my burrito , and there was no guacamole or cheese. And when I went to go ask she goes it comes on the side . Where does it say that ? The burrito has minimal carne asada and was all beans and rice. And on top of that the carne asada was different than that of the tacos ?? The meat in the burrito looked cheaper than what was being served in the burrito. On top of that the cashier was rude . Not only to me but as well as people in front us . This is a small business, it is a tiny location with outdoor seating that reminds you of being in Mexico. The cook/cashier greeted me very kindly and with a smile, he asked what I wanted and. I ordered a coffee with a chorizo burrito. The burrito was HUGE so the price point (almost $17) was not surprising and the flavor was definitely a homey one and I loved it. That said, I couldn't even finish half, I had the rest for lunch. The hot coffee is your regular drip and was decent. A couple of things to note: parking is street parking, the place is run by two people, large orders should probably be made well in advance, at least an hour ahead; if during lunch probably further in advance. And the green salsa is probably the only one they make, it's literally posted on the order window "green salsa included" (or something to that effect) read more

We went to eat here the other day and I loved the ambiance. But, this place needs help and it could be a 5 star. Here are some pointers for the owner: 1. Better quality of beef. the "Kobe" taco, was NOT Kobe and thinking now it might have been named after a person. Blah! 2. Use seasoning, have your Abuelita teach you how to add some flavor to the food. I am not talking spice, but flavor. 3. Clean up your patio area. The place is a hidden gem. It's in a walkway between buildings and has a quaint lighted courtyard that even has mounted misters for hot days. I ordered 3 Tacos (Pollo, Carnitas & Carne Asada. The tacos are a pretty good size served with cilantro, lime and their house salsa. I also ordered the street corn, but it was nothing like elote, so I wasn't a big fan. Lastly I also ordered the chips & salsa, all of it was pretty damn good! I'll definitely be back, because it was a nice little "COVID" escape. read more

Horrible experience. I would give this place zero stars if I could. My daughter was in town, so a small group of us took her to Petiscos for dinner. We hadn't tried this place before, but will never be back. The food is terrible--the chips were literally dripping in oil, the El Kobe tacos had some kind of sweet seasoning that made them inedible, and the fish tacos were basically fried batter around tiny pieces of fish--and extremely expensive for what it is (subpar street food eaten on picnic tables with no cutlery, napkins or plates anywhere in sight). The food comes out sporadically, so everyone in our group ate at different times to avoid eating cold food. The worst part of an already bad experience was that my daughter's burrito had cheese in it despite the fact that we verified several times that it would be vegan. She didn't get her burrito for an hour. We had to send it back and after an hour and a half of waiting, they had forgotten to make it. It's inexcusable to wait 1.5 hours for street food that isn't even tasty and is outrageously overpriced. Others who ordered before us didn't get their food for at least 45 minutes. There were three staff in the kitchen, so there's really no reason why it took so long to cook food that should have taken 5-10 minutes to prepare. The kitchen, from what I could see, wasn't clean and the staff was extremely rude. They acted like it was an inconvenience to serve any of their customers. No one in line or sitting at their tables seemed happy with the rude service. When we found out that, after 1.5 hours, the staff had neglected to cook my daughter's food, they acted like it was somehow our fault they got the order wrong and then forgot to prepare it. The cook (who doesn't wear gloves when preparing food) seemed upset I asked for a refund and only refunded us $10 for a $111 bill. What a waste of money! This place is a total joke, should be shut down by the health department, and was a really terrible dining experience. read more

We love getting breakfast burritos here and took some time away because they're always so busy (we have an immunocompromised toddler). Happened to walk by at a slow moment and got in our orders. This is a place that deserves a minus one. Went there on Sunday after the Farmer's Market. After everyone was so nice at the Farmers Market my wife and I were in a really good mood. We went to Petiscos to get two breakfast burritos. We asked that the potatoes be put on the side. When we ordered, we were asked if we wanted red or green sauce. We told him red sauce. When we got our order, my wife asked if the red sauce was in the containers with the burritos because we didn't see it in the bag. The guy said yes. We also noticed there was only one side of potatoes. When we asked about the potatoes, the guy making the food said in a very rude tone, "I put two orders in one container!" Whatever. When we checked for the sauce, they had given us green sauce instead of red sauce. When we went back to the window, there was a person in front of us asking for the same red sauce. They simply handed that person two containers of the sauce. When I explained that they had given us green sauce when we asked for red sauce when we ordered, the guy told us the red sauce was $.75 each in a very rude tone. We had just seen him give the person in front of us two for free!! Since when do you go to a place, order a burrito and the sauce cost extra!! Stay away from these RUDE people. Petiscos is my new go to taco spot! It's quick, easy, and the food is good. It's a little bit pricy for how small the tacos are... but it's good to come with friends to chat, or for an afternoon snack. Their tacos are $2.5-3 and their happy hour special is 2 tacos for $4. You can add $2.5 for chips and salsa, which I highly recommend! Their chips are really good. The salsa used to be better, but last time I went... it was just tomatoes and onions with no taste. I usually get the carnitas and carve Assad and bother are good. I don't eat any spicy food, and these definitely are not spicy, so that's good! I believe you can get hot sauce added or on the side. The street corn is good but it's a bit expensive ($4.5 for a cup). Atmosphere: it's outdoors in a little enclosed area. It has rustic wooden benches and tables and lots of trees for shade. Sometimes the leaves are annoying in the fall, as they fall into your food... but I do enjoy being able to eat outside. It's good for groups of people, or to eat alone! Very relaxed and chill environment. Service: you order at the counter and then pick up the food when they call your name. water is also self serve, and clean up after yourself! read more

This was such a cute surprise restaurant! You would've never noticed it except for the cute little hallway that leads into a nice courtyard of picnic benches. This small location becomes larger as you approach the seating area, it is decorated beautifully and the restaurant owner really made the best of the area with what they had. The seating is in nice shade, the location is ALL outside seating so flies will be present. Now for the important part: the food. We ordered the ceviche first. The ceviche itself was very good, it came in a styrofoam cup with some chips to share. I ordered a carnitas taco, I do not recall what my girlfriend ordered but we also ordered a side of beans. None of the food that we ordered that wasn't ceviche was good. The food is very bland, the beans and rice are so bad.. This place has location potential but the food is not competitive with other restaurants in the area. This place is a bit pricey, though with little enjoyment of the food, the next subject is the service. The young gentleman at the register could use a big time up. He has attitude and shows that he does not want to be there. The cook in the building also is rude when you are clarifying your order or asking if you heard your name get called out. The ceviche and location earned a star, the rest is mediocre at best. It is unfortunate that I must give a nice looking place like this a single star. read more
