    Petland is not where I typically shop for my pet however, it is very close to my house and I have gone there on several occasion when I needed a few items. On my last visit I needed an allergen shampoo for my dog as he was scratching very badly. The staff are always helpful, and if I ask will lead me right to the product(s) I wish to purchase. And even offer suggestions as most of the staff are dog owners too. The staff member suggested also picking up an allergen spray to use between baths. Very smart idea! I have always been able to find what I need when shopping at Petland. It is smaller than the average pet store, but most likely they will have what you need. And if you can't find it, ask and they will help.

    We decided it was time to pick out a family dog for our 3 year old, and after a bit of research we settled on Petland. The golden doodle we had originally scheduled to meet had already been adopted so we met 2 different puppies while we were there. After some deliberation we settled on a sweet mini golden doodle that stole our hearts almost instantly. When we found out she was going to be $5600 we were disappointed but just accepted a "designer dog" wasn't in the cards for us right now. As we loaded back into the car an associate ran outside to stop us and said that we got approved to finance the puppy and we would be taking her home. Yay! We ran back inside to get our girl and immediately started filling out the adoption paperwork. They took her into the back for the final touchups/cleaning, and we waited for her to get done. They brought her back out and we were ready to walk out with our new puppy and but wait......we were stopped by the associate saying we in fact did NOT get approved to finance the puppy and that he was so sorry because the company has never rescinded an offer before. Just our lucky day I guess. Our daughter was traumatized not once, but TWICE being let down and walking out puppyless. Won't be coming back anytime soon!

    Beautiful sweet and happy healthy puppy! I'm in love with my sweet girl! She is so sassy and full of energy ! I couldn't be happier !

He is a young puppy and, like most Maltipoos, has a lot of hair--but nothing out of the ordinary. Unfortunately, instead of a trim, my dog was completely shaved. After the fact, the explanation kept changing: first it was described as a "misunderstanding," then I was told his coat was too matted to groom as requested and that we needed to brush him more. The core issue here is communication. One of the most basic responsibilities when providing a service--especially involving someone's pet--is ensuring there is a clear understanding of expectations. If the groomer felt the requested cut could not be done, that should have been communicated before proceeding. At the very least, a phone call should have been made to explain the situation and discuss options. Instead, they made a major decision without consent. What made this worse was the unprofessional response afterward. The employee was laughing on the phone while discussing the situation, which was not funny to me at all. I understand that things don't always go according to plan, but dismissiveness and poor communication are unacceptable. Overall, this experience felt careless and unprofessional. If I were the manager or owner, I would be embarrassed by how this was handled. I would not recommend this business based on my experience. Posted this on google as well so it does not happy to someone else.

    Our first time using PetSmart for grooming - gave it a shot since the Petco in Beaches went out of…read morebusiness recently. Overall I was pleased - would give the cut itself a 4/5 (a bit shorter than we'd like, but I did approve it ahead of time - they did not have the blade available for the type of cut my dog typically gets). However, beyond disappointed with the "luxury" package upgrade. I paid nearly $40 for better shampoo, teeth brushing, breath freshener, face brightening wash, pad / nose butter, "premium" cologne and a bandanna (and possibly more, I can't remember all that was included). I think none of this was done. My dog didn't even smell good coming out (granted, she smelled pretty bad going in, so it was an improvement don't get me wrong, but there was certainly no "premium cologne" scent going on). No bandanna or bow even. Pretty bummed about this - I had to ask if her teeth were done and the response was that the groomer did her best. Now I get it - my dog can be a royal pain when it comes to grooming, but I had even asked ahead of time if they couldn't perform all the services if we would be refunded and I was told that would happen. Feeling pretty ripped off and upset at the moment. May be back for a regular bath and cut, but I recommend skipping the "upgrades" since I didn't get anything for it.
