Great Mediterranean food in the Seattle area! Really good portion sizes, even for to go orders. Service was very good, order was ready in a timely manner.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved our time at Petra Bistro. It gives mom and pop vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got in shortly before happy hour ended and ordered some wine and hummus. The pita bread was amazing and I definitely fell victim of filling up on bread and hummus. I ordered the spice chicken. The soup that comes with it was amazing - lots of unique flavor. The spice chicken was great too. Excited to eat leftovers for lunch.

We came out of the Chihuly Garden at 7 pm and didn't want to spend an hour going to a restaurant in another part of town. Found this place on Yelp and glad we did. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's not fancy, but the owner did a nice job bringing in the theme.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] (Petra is in Jordan. The ending of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was filmed there.) Anyway, the food was flavorful. The portions were decent and the prices were fair. The dinners we ordered came with lentil soup, which you swap for a salad for an additional $2. The app selection looked great, but that would have been more food than we needed. Service was attentive and friendly.

    Lamb Ouzi ( soo good)

Bomb! Flavor Bomb! Spices are not too overpowering with the right amount of flavor. 1) Ouzi comes with rice, peas and carrot topped with crunch pine nuts and tangy creamy Tzatziki sauce. (10/10) 2) combo Kabob comes with veggie, chicken, Kafta and lamb Kabob. Lamb is the best!! Chicken would be my least fav. A little dry with not a lot of flavor but the Lamb is But surprisingly, red lentils soup stole the show!! It's the best I ever had! Would definitely come back just for it.

Chicken Shawarma & Beef Gyro Salad
    Vivien L.

3.5 stars overall. I did a walk in with a friend during weekday lunch time and we were seated quickly. My friend ordered a gyro beef salad and I had the chicken shawarma. The chicken shawarma was very generous on the chicken & sauce and had a great presentation. I wish there was more rice! The taste was acidic and different from other chicken shawarmas I tried too. I'd come back to try something new.

Food was excellent and I think we received some of the best service we'd ever had being in a restaurant. Loved the seasonings soup app was great and overall had a great time!

After sampling the unnuanced baba ganoush, I was tempted to describe the entire Middle-Eastern buffet as "The Sorrow and the Pita."

Hi Efran, Thanks for your inquiry. We don't offer any wraps for dinner. Only lunch as a special. You can always make your own wraps by buying Pita on the side.…

I just called and confirmed all lamb is halal and that the garlic lemon chicken can be made halal upon request

Highly recommend the three dip (current seasons is beet and it's my fav) with the flat bread. The flat bread comes out steaming. Trumpet mushroom is Smokey and juicy. However after we expressed that we didn't want to wait that long, we were told that if we wanted outdoor seating they could actually seat us in less than half an hour. We chose the outdoor seating option and took a quick stroll in the quiet neighborhood before coming back. Our server told us that Homer's plates are meant to be family style and shared so their general recommendation is 1 large plate or 2 small plates per person. For us, we ordered the Set of top 3 spreads, lamb ragu on tahini and we were served with 5 pieces of warm pita. We also ordered Grilled Pork with Stinging nettles, raw albacore tuna with taramasalata, and smoked and shaved kohlrabi. Our server warned us that the pork was going to be on the fatty side but we were still surprised by how fatty it was. The spreads for the pita were amazing as usual-- their seasonal flavors taste amazingly fresh. Our table wanted to order more pita and when someone came by to take the empty plate they asked if we wanted more which we did let them know but even by the time we finished all the plates, we never got the additional pita so we just took it off. The Kohlrabi was an amazingly refreshing palette cleanser before the pork-- super light and refreshing. After we finished our meal we grabbed some soft serve from the window and wow, for 7$ it's quite a lot of ice cream! The flavors that were offered when we were there was Dark Chocolate and Kettlekorn. I sampled the swirl and the fusion of the saltiness of the kettle korn, the slight bitter and sweetness of the dark chocolate was immaculate. Final thoughts: very cool experience, inside I could see the open kitchen and the stone wood fired oven and the ingredients tasted amazing. However it is a little inconvenient that it's walk in unless you're a party of 6 since the lines and wait can get incredibly long. It's also difficult to find parking in the area. Very neat experience!

I got a build-my-own saj wrap with the mushroom base saj $6, sumac chicken $7, tomato $1.5, cucumber $1.5, pickled turnip $1, and a side of hot sauce $2. The saj bread itself tasted good, but got soaked through by the juice of the chicken and became very soggy. We walked to a park 10 minutes away to eat the wraps and the wraps were bending. The ingredients are fresh but nothing particularly stood out. I didn't quite taste the mushroom on the wrap, and on top of that, I got charged $2 for the hot sauce, but never tasted it in the wrap or found it on the side. My partner got the falafel saj wrap which was overall ddcent, but he also found the saj bread quite soggy, yet the falafels were on the dry side.

The signature saj bread is cooked fresh on a hot stone and is almost like a Middle Eastern flour tortilla with the way it's super thin and satisfyingly chewy bite. The only seating options are a few large benches on the sidewalk, but there's a poster saying you're welcome to sit at the neighboring bar which opens in the late afternoon provided you purchase a drink as well. Ended up sampling 3 of their wrap options and the Zaatar Wrap was deliciously nutty and fragrant, but texturally there was so many herbs that the center ate a little dry. The Lahme Khuruf (Lamb) was my favorite by far with super juicy ground meat with some tang from the labneh, sweetness, freshness from the tomato, and texture from the pine nuts. Absolute home run on this one! The Awarma and Cheese was a close second, but personally, the flavor profile was just a little less interesting than the lamb. Tip: grab some extra napkins as the wraps can fall apart a bit at the end!
